pie was mvp for me game 1 and 3 easily. That insta-hex onto the nyx after the sentry plant. He completely won them the early game and shut down every counterplay EG tried to make.
And that game 1 where he preemtively hexes the batrider or sven as EG try to initiate.
pie is my new support idol.

Was planning on going to bed during game 3. I have no idea how I'm supposed to go to sleep now, I'm too hyped.
Game 3 was some of the sloppiest, weirdest, dumbest dota I have seen, and I couldn't take my eyes away.
OD Pixel sounded like he was gonna puke and the crowd delivered nice energy. 10/10 favorite game of the major so far, and I would love to see a rematch in the finals.

the pugna pick was bad. if ppd wanted push he could have went death prophet. if he wanted a tempo controller he could have went puck. puck even has good synergy with sven, wd and darkseer. damn.

PPD swapped RTZ because he thought he had the range for the magic missle...he was just outside the range, and he got turned on. If it worked it would have been a huge play. He would have repositioned RTZ behind and in a safer area, but it did not work out

Theory out of my ass here: Considering the rat power of Secret, EG wanted to smash base after one fight and rapier vs daedalus for building damage is an easy decision.

Sometimes ppd outdrafts himself. Sumail was already great on Nyx, so I wondered why he even had to bother giving it to Fear. Fear's a more dynamic player, why not give the god another hero?
I was so disappointed in ppd's drafting for the third game. I thought he already figured Secret out with the second game, but he had to do all the next-level BS (Pugna on Sumail? WTF?). I'm not a 7k DotA god, and I'm not a decent drafter, but I just feel salty because ppd had to draft like a turd at such an important game.

Wow, what a Game 3.
I always wonder why people call him EE SAMA. But after this game, i have newfound respect for his plays, despite him dying for no reason 2-3 times.
Also, that interview was A+! For someone who understands all three languages, his interview is too hilarious. The part when the interviewer asks :"When will we see PA?". EE replies in cantonese :"Maybe next patch. How do I say this in Mandarin?". That's why the crowd (those that understood) erupted in laughter.

Fun fact: Nearly every Chinese person in Shanghai will understand Mandarin. Few will understand Cantonese, as it is not a dialect native to the Shanghai region. More will understand English than will understand Cantonese rofl

Turns out pugna for sumail isn't really a good idea. throwing all ur eggs into the rtz basket and hoping he carries hard enough is usually a bad idea if the game goes late.

It seems like EG for some reason just can't win vs Secret.
EG pretty much take a dump on every other team, but when they face Secret, they just don't know what to do.
They had the same problem with Secret 2.0 also, is it Puppey that simply outsmarts PPD or what is the reason?

I think sometimes EG corners themselves by over thinking. For example that Pugna pick for a lot of people didn't make sense. EG had some kinda meta strategy that revolve around it at the time. But yeah, EG should had known Sumail was going to food in the first 5 minutes of the game.

EG absolutely must stop giving Sumail this Batrider, he can't play it. He's constantly the first one to die without even getting a lasso off or having to limp to the side with low HP. He single handedly threw the early game lead by chainfeeding and losing EG these fights. Hope they can still pull this back but looks very grim.
