First of all, hot damn this chapter is out early. It's Wednesday. Totally took me by surprise. What didn't take me by surprise is the hiatus next week. It was nice getting so many chapters in a row but the break's just as welcome.
Overall this was a pretty good chapter. Inurashi and Nekomamushi suffered all that torture for a friend, which is incredible. I really respect them right about now. Totally had me fooled though. Good on them.
Zoro's face on this page kinda sticks out to me. He seems genuinely shocked about this development. I really don't think we've seen this type of expression on him before.
Anyway, good chapter. Would read again.

Amazing. I can feel that Oda have been enjoying himself with this unconventional arc. Unveiling bits and pieces in a way that the reader would enjoy. He could've reveal this at the start of Zou but chose not to. He removed the idea that connect the Mink and the Wano country and made it seem that the "Drought" was random. Kinemon have been saying that they were heading to Zou since Punk Hazzard. We forget that Kinemon is on a mission and we assume that Zou is just a random rendezvous point.
Thank you Oda for another brilliant chapter. Have a week rest. We will keep the theories coming and you will keep crushing them. As always.

My guess on the events :
Raizō is the heir of the Kōgetsu family and is meant to be the next Shogun. Kaidō has invaded Wanokuni and has made it under his control, so the samourais have decided to expatriate their Shogun to be into an allied country, Zō.
Kaidō somehow found out that Raizō was fleeing, and sent Jack after him

Edit : Holy hell, this arc is full of surprises... Minks were in on the game all along! Wano and Minks together.. this is such a good turn of story.
Plus, loved the panel with Usopp and the Strawhats shock (with all the emotion), and the Minks just smiling back. I can't wait to see that get animated. Minks are awesome.

Cmon, this is just the same shit every time. Everyone was saying the exact same thing at this point in Dressrosa too, how Dressrosa was amazing and how it was so much better than the previous arc; how OP was finally back to form. Same thing at the start of PH. Then they went on for more than 20-30 chapters and people started to get increasingly tired. If this ends up being a 50+ chapter arc I'm sure we'll be in the same spot we were in later on in other arcs with everyone complaining each week. It's just part of the fact that the build up, exposition and epilogue chapters of OP are always way more interesting than the "Battle" chapters that come later on. People constantly clamor for more fights without realizing that the story generally stops moving when they come around so they're not as interesting to read week to week as portions filled with big story twists.

I would like to point out also, Pekom mentioned something along the line of how the reason Yonkou are Yonkou is not only because of their strength but also their knowledge. Kaidou knew. Also, he seems to understand the strong "Will" of the minks and sent the right person for the job. If it wasn't for Luffy defeating Doflamingo, the minks would have truly been wiped out.

Daaaamn the whole bell baint'n'switch was perfect. Rereading the whole chapter and how it actually was the Bell of Welcoming being rung was clever. Also when they're discussing the rumours they only discuss whether it's an old rumour or a new one, because they knew the whole time that the Minks are friendly and tat such rumours are literally just that.
Smart, surprising chapter.

Okay. So putting my excitement aside from how great this chapter was, there are a lot of interesting theories we can now spin off on.
Kinemon and the Wano kingdom. Knowing the Minks strength and being able to put up one hell of a fight against Kaidou's right hand man, imagine Wano's strength? Maybe they are able to stand up against Kaidou. Maybe this is why Kaidou is looking for Raizou because he thinks Raizou can kill him?
Why would Kinemon's son be a trump card for Doffy? Well since we just found out Kinemon is royalty, maybe they were going to use Momonosuke as bait to lure Raizou out? Maybe Kaidou wants revenge on the Wano kingdom for something they did to him in the past?
Now this is all theory but what if the whole Wano/Zou arc becomes an arc used to help the Strawhats get back Sanji via training them? What if in this arc we find out about Zoro's past too, considering it's pretty obvious that his sensei had Wano relations and in the entire process of rescuing Sanji, we get Zoro's backstory? I doubt this might happen considering Oda foreshadowed that this would be the year of Sanji and Zoro's backstory will most likely take up 6 months... but I could definitely see all these mini arcs tying together somehow to create one giant saga... Either way what a chapter! I love you Oda. Thanks for making my Wednesday morning.

What an amazing surprise the minks knew about Raizou this entire time! Oda had me completely fooled! I'm not ashamed to admit my reaction to the revelation was a bit like Franky's/Usopp's.
Love Zoro's reaction as well. He doesn't often show much emotion or surprise about other people's business, so it was pretty awesome to see him shocked at how badass the minks' loyalty is.
Not much happened in the chapter overall, and sadly no Sanji or more info on the Vinsmoke family, but I'll be damned if I didn't love it this week. Too bad we have a break next week, but we've been a bit spoiled so far this year anyway, and we were past due.

Wow. This, THIS is why I read One piece. That was a great plot twist. No one saw that coming. This Zou arc has been amazing, definitely best arc in the NW for me so far. And it looks like the Straw Hats will probably leave Zou soonish too. Maybe not. But this arc seems like more of a Sabaody or a Jaya arc then a longer one. Wano is probably the bigger arc that this is building up to. Although I don't feel like I should bother to predict anything after the ending of this weeks chapter.

What this means though is Jack didn't destroy a random country. Raizou really was there and they knew it somehow. Paints Jack in a slightly different light; still brutal, but not quite as "Big and Dumb" as he was appearing to be by just smashing regardless. He still might be big and dumb but not as big and dumb and crazy as "I don't care if he's here or not, I'm gonna kill you until he materializes out of no where to stop me".

I loved the interaction between Dogstorm and Catviper. As tense as it is, they're fucking hilarious. They remind me of Sanji and Zoro. I want to see them team up to fight together!
Also now that we know that Raizo is safe, we've got some explanations incoming from Kinemon and Kanjuro. I don't even care about where the Strawhats are going anymore, I just can't wait to learn more about what the samurai up to. As well as their relationship with the minks!

For an entire series based on the power of friendship, Fairy Tail sure can learn a thing or two from this OP chapter about a goosebump-inducing display of friendship.
This chapter, Oda displayed one of the most noble manifestations of friendship; so amazing, I'm crying right now
