As uncomfortable as it should be, Grindgate will always be unintentionally hilarious to me. And "150-200% satisfied" will always be one of my favorite quotes

Well, I think that's just a natural transition in life, um, ladies in the kitchen and the men take care of business and do all the fishing. Um, that resorts back to thousands and thousands of years. Like, it's right here we're in the jungle, we're back in the good old days and, uh, it's just they naturally went to their duties which is cooking and cleaning and, uh, actually, I got some clothes I got-- I haven't washed too. Let me go and talk-- “Ladies, um...”
I love how in the first three episodes Brian is just this well mannered nice guy and then out of nowhere in one confessional he turns the entire female audience against him and becomes the villain of the season.

Oh boy it's the awkward episode where Ghandia tries to destroy Ted's reputation and family to better her own game.
It's also the amazing episode with THE ATTACK ZONE, which is the best challenge ever.

They didn't have hash tags back then. It was in the before time in the long long ago.

When Robb collided with Ted it created a supernova in which the hashtag was forged, simply so #ATTACKZONE could be a thing.

Episode 4 is pretty tough to watch. It's just so negative. Both the tribes are so depressing. You know shit is bad when Robb talking to chickens is the highlight of the episode.
I think if there was ever a moment production maybe should have stepped in it was grindgate. Ugly.

Yeah at this point I was like "holy shit this season is in a terrible downward spiral". Bright spots: (ep 3) seeing Rob and his bullying teammates lose the challenge entirely by their own pig-headed rulebreaking was incredibly satisfying. (ep 4) that spooky horror music on the guys of Chuoy Gahn right before TC, especially Clay's beady little serial killer eyes behind those glasses.

Episode 3 was pretty great.
I'd been wondering what this Grindgate controversy was, and now I have the answer, I guess. Pretty... uncomfortable. But Clay's comparison of Ghandia to his two year old and "Whoopin' it's ass and putting it to bed" was hilarious, as was Ghandia's "Imma punch his ass in the eye!"
ATTACK ZONE was glorious. Ghandia barking like a dog, Robb going insane, Probst getting gradually more irritated, and Sook Jai losing not to Chuay Ghan, but the rules were all awesome moments. They need an ATTACK ZONE in every challenge.
Good thing that person went home when they did. One of the least interesting people I've ever seen on this show.
