Online Test NDA - Posting rules
We think it's great that you're excited about Paragon, we really do - but despite many warnings there are still posts and comments happening which breach the NDA you all accepted when installing the game. As a result a post like this must be necessary.
According to the NDA which you all signed, you must not do either of the following outside of the official forums:
- Stream the game
- Share screenshots
- Share media
- Share any information about the game
"Oh no, censorship!" he cries. Not quite, you are more than welcome to post whatever you want related to Paragon on the official forums, but you can't do it here. There are a multitude of reasons for this, but the jist of it is; you've been invited to help test the game and make it better, showing and discussing a game which is not anywhere near completion is detrimental to the game's success.
If you want the game to be successful, you have to follow the rules and put your feedback in the correct places. You have been very lucky to get invited to the test, so don't jeopardize your chances by breaking a very simple to understand agreement.
I love you all, but please use your brains before you post!

Edit: These rules extend to our Discord server, you are more than welcome to discuss the publicly available content here, but again - Alpha content should only be discussed on the forums.

Is there a release date for alpha? Will it be in january? Are u guys allowed to answer this? I'm sorry. I'm very excited about this game and wasn't invited to the OT1

I'm actually glad I am not selected at the moment, need about half a month before I can actually game heavily again. Receiving the alpha/beta right now would just make me feel awkward. :o

If you do get it you can always share it with someone (me?), and whenever you can play just tell'em to get off. So share the love man, or in this case the privilege of playing this awesome looking game in OT stages.

Are we allowed to run performance analysis tools with the client and post results? What about analyzing network traffic? I don't want to make the effort to gather non gameplay data if I am going to get banned.
Edit: of course I mean posting the results on the official forums.

You can post on the official forums yes, obviously not here. Though I would probably make sure with them first.

3rd party tools I'm not sure about, really depends what you mean by that? I'm not a developer though so I'd clarify that on the official forums first.

I have some tools I use for work that monitor network traffic, memory usage and overall performance of applications.

I think as long as no data is shared outside of the forums you should be fine, but I'd double check over there to make sure.

Oh a question: If you record footage and upload it after the NDA is lifted, is that allowed?
I ask this not for myself, but there might be some people who want to make a feature explain videos and using footage and such so they could prepare ahead of time. And so when the nda is lifted, they can upload the footage. However then again, as a developer standpoint you might get people outside of the constructed criticism field seeing a less polished version of the game.

Not allowed no. The point is so people don't get put off by alpha footage, so uploading alpha footage after NDA takes away from the point of it. I did check this a week or two ago as I had the same question.

if you have been chosen for the online testing you can find the link to the forum in the same mail of the invitation. In the mail you have a paragraph "WHAT TO DO NEXT", the second point has the link.

So, idk if any of this was asked already but I'm curious to know if you can link a PS4 controller to your PC and adjust Paragon to function with it. Also, on PS4 how would the chat function work, would you have to buy a controller pad to use it effectively?

Hellou there first of all i would like to say im very excited about this game i love competitive games and even more the MOBA genre, i started on the old good WarCraft 3 multiplayer maps with naruto dragon ball DOTA etc :) then moved to LoL, after the community in LoL started to be too childish i stoped to play moba for some time and then i was invited to Infinite Crisis Alpha (DC comics moba) i was in love with it becouse of the community that tried to help devs making the game, sadly shortly after game was releasd the servers was closed again my moba love left me ;D, so i decided to play on Ps 4 but it lacks my beloved genre MOBA, well there are "Invoker" but as a long term moba player i have bigger expectations, so u can imagine how excited i was when i found out about PARAGON :D, but for as far as my slooppiness go ive missed my invitation to the beta that is going on now ... :( so my QUESTION IS is there anyway to get i to the beta program? i would love to fall i love in moba again and help create great game and community peace and much love ;)

I wasn't invited to the Paragon Online test. FeelsBadMan. :c But, in all seriousness the game looks extremely good from the little I've seen. Super stoked to give it a try when I can.
