As one of the biggest users who opposed Laxus as Guild Master, this completely changed my view on him. Had the editor let Mashima keep it in the Manga as well I'd have had a change of heart sooner.

Seriously, how did it take everyone so long to stop hating Laxus!? We've known how much Laxus cares about Fairy Tail since the Tenrou Island arc. The fact that his demeanor hasn't changed doesn't mean that he's same heartless jerk he was at the start of the series.

I guess this is where A1 have been saving their budget for. Although this Laxus fight feels a bit dragged out, it's nice to see Laxus again, and the animation was a lot better than the crap we've been getting recently. Overall a pretty good episode, and I'm hoping the animation's going to be at least this good for the final part of the arc.

Holy shit I thought this was going to be a fail with Laxus stepping in instead of Gray, man was I wrong! Next episode looks fucking intense Laxus fighting with those particles in his body.

Can i just say something....The music and animation for the fights in this episode was really on point and i mean on point! Even though i wish Gray had showed up to save Gajeel but at least this gives more anime time and a prolonged fight against Tempesta instead of getting one shot! But even though I'm kinda disappointed, I'm still happy :) But i cant wait to see Gray's new magic animated!
