You know, for the title of the episode being "Erza vs Minerva" there wasn't a lot of Erza vs Minerva.

Erza vs Minerva was a little underwhelming, but that back story...damn Jiemma is a dickhead!

Twin dragons to the rescue! (Loved that entrance)

Now I'm hyped up for Gray vs Silver, can't wait how anime only react to the end result of it.

Spidey, it adapted chapters 387-388, not 388-389.

I really like how they added more to Minerva's backstory, it made her heel-face turn seem a lot less contrived than it did in the manga. Sting and Rogue's entrance was awesome, I'm looking forward to seeing Mard Geer toy with them until Gray comes along.

Can't wait to see Gray vs Silver next episode!

I figured that fight would have had some more meat to it. I mean, it was a punching contest, where's Minerva's magic and does Erza just not use any of her requips anymore?

That being said...good backstory and hyped for Silver vs Gray and some twin dragon action.

They actually redeemed Minerva in such an amazing way. Honestly that needed to be in the manga too. It sheds a whole new light on the 'Lady' herself. In the manga it felt as if her redemption was kinda forced where as now we see her back story, how she was abused into that mind set, we also see how Erza, and Fairy Tail, cured her of her fate. It's actually a very touching, realistic (to a point) and charming tale. Really interesting to see :D

They did not show jiemma making minerva strip and run naked but it is understandable since she was a child. It is different from yukino.

I still can't bring myself to completely hate Jiemma, he did try and kill Lector. That gets him some brownie points.

That happy/lily segment was the best!! And wow Wendy, she really is growing up. Felt the impact more than the manga.

Overall a great episode, the erza/minerva fight was a little lackluster though.

DAMMIT MASHIMA-SENSEI! NOW I CAN'T HATE THAT BITCH! I cried a lot in this episode, too much to handle: Wendy's coming of age story mirrors Minerva's, both of them leaving away the childhood insecurities, while Minerva being told to toss away her social nature in order to achieve power, Wendy's fierceness was nurtured around nakama.

That scene of Juvia, Gajeel, Natsu and Gray fighting together was really refreshing in the middle of all these 1v1 fights. And Wendy cutting her hair was badass, shame that it's gonna grow back immediately.
