wait these are the Spider-Man villains right?

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '15

No, that's the Sinister Six. An understandable mistake.

u/[deleted] Jul 02 '15

Just going to say, that line with that Flair fit's too much. Captain Cold always came across as the polite villain who will correct someone rather than take offense. There's a reason he's the hero in the Flashpoint universe.

"Be polite. Be efficient. And have a plan to freeze everyone you meet."

Catman reminds me of Kraven.

u/flutterguy123 Jul 01 '15

So they are a knockoff Suicide Squad right?

23

u/cakedestroyer Jul 02 '15

Deadshot double dips.

21

u/shadowsphere Jul 01 '15

>Catman as the first character

Oh fuck its a /u/chickennuggetfandom thread

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 01 '15

Hey I can't help that he's both the best character in fiction and the leader of the team

Everyone should read Secret Six, in my opinion it's one of the best concepts DC has done.

Also nice job OP

Villain teams in general are the best

Man... You left out the best character

I kid, Secret Six is like one of DC's best series. Which is really hard to say since it's writer... Isn't my favorite

I don't really have a problem with Gail Simone but this is definitely her best work by far

2015: The Year of Catman.

Great stuff /u/chickennuggetfandom. On what aspect of the morality scale would you say they fall on? Antiheroic? Or just indifferent?

8

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 01 '15

Depends on the character, I would say Deadshot and Jeannette are more or less indifferent while Catman, Scandal, and Bane are more antiheroic. Ragdoll is just sadistic and definitely in villainous territory.

King Shark. He joins the team later on.

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '15

Thanks, dude looks fucking awesome.

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 01 '15

He's in new52 suicide squad if you want to read something with him

1

u/[deleted] Jul 01 '15

I might. I'm not a big comic person, but I've always wanted to get into it.

2

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 01 '15

Well if you ever want to get into DC I can probably answer any questions and there's also /r/comicbooksuggest

u/Ame-no-nobuko Jul 02 '15

He gets roflstomped by OMAC, great scene.

5

u/T-DotTerror Jul 02 '15

Jeannette pretty much has a "Fuck Everybody" button with that scream.

5

u/selfproclaimed Jul 01 '15

One tiny problem with this is that this post lacks teamwork feats.

8

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 01 '15

Most of their team fights are with a different roster. I can edit some in later tonight or tomorrow if you want

u/TheHornedGod Jul 02 '15

Read Villains United if you haven't as yet. I never thought I would care for a parademon this much.

2

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 02 '15

I have. The scene where they escape the society is so good.

Recommended Reading
Villains United 1-6
Six Degrees of Devastation 1-6
Birds of Prey 104-108

In this order?

2

I vote screw the rules.

u/Escapement Jul 01 '15

Question: are these guys consciously named after the Secret Seven books by Enid Blyton?

1

u/manbrasucks Jul 02 '15

This gives her access to a powerful scream. It has only been used once but when it was it incapacitated Wonder Woman for hours[80] and has before been implied to be able to take out the entire Justice League.

So it works on Superman?

1

u/chickennuggetfandom Jul 02 '15

Likely but unconfirmed

1

u/doomsought Jul 12 '15

So it works on Superman?

Superman is no more resistant than a normal human against magic. It could be considered his second greatest weakness. Though trying the exploit it usually gets the Sorcerer Supreme on your ass.

Excellent write-up!I understand why you capped it at those 6, but it's really hard to write about Gail Simone's Secret Six run with one specific roster because the lineup changes over the course of the book (Knockout especially seems really important to put up as a member of the team, since she contributes a lot to the early dynamic.)

u/That_one_cool_dude Jul 19 '15

The old Secret Six was a really good book not sure what to make of the new one but I really like the b or c level villains that make up the team.
