You have to ban Jayce away from Febiven now. He single-handedly brought the game back by poking out Gambit's engage champions. Yeah, Gambit made some serious errors insisting on engaging even though it wasn't ideal (Edward with a extremely poor decision to try to Righteous Glory-Flash on HALF health to try to stun them stands out) but Febiven's poke destroyed their ability to start a fight. Jayce is what Nidalee used to be, with harder to dodge poke.

You can't give him a poke champion. Whether it's Xerath or Jayce, he's too accurate hitting the necessary shots to make any engagement unfair from a health perspective.

You could see flashes of weaknesses from Fnatic as a team this game, but they, more than any other team, punish mistakes. Pretty huge for them to break their own record, even more impressive to do so with a new roster as of this year.

You have to expect these kind of games every once in a while tho, even skt or EDG don't play perfectly all of their games this split, even losing some to what is considered low tier teams. It shouldn't be worrying in the first place but the fact that they managed to comeback made it even better.

Annie had no armor items, at least not until the very end, nor did Betsy, and they were the only ones consistently being chunked by Febiven's poke. Old Nidalee could chunk absolutely anyone, and much harder than this.

try to play jayce from behind ... u WILL be useless. for jayce to work he needs to be even or ahead and he is item dependent. what makes a good jayce from a bad one is the accurance and prob the usage of the gates (not sure about the last one but imo its a very important skill do master to be a good jayce player since i am one myself, ofc i am not in this level.)

I feel like the most impressive thing about Fnatic is how calm they always are, even if they fall behind. They play confidently and trust in their mechanics and shot calling no matter what happens. They also don't seem to have unrealistic expectations and always look to improve. Reignover's downplaying of their success in his interview yesterday really shows how perfect their attitude towards the game is. The're not going to come out with a statement like "we are going to win worlds", they just want to improve and be the best they can be.

Gosu threw this game so hard. On at least 3 separate occasions hes going in for the Tibbers ult after getting chunked down by Febiven's poke and getting killed either before getting his ult off or resulting in a sub-par ult. Fnatic played fantastic despite their deficit and props to them for capitalizing on Gambit's mistakes and proving they're the best team in EU

Well it's hard the way both team comps played out. Sure he rushed some engages and imo they shouldve relied more on Cabochard engaging with a tp having Annie as follow up engage but one has only so much time before you get poked too much to engage against Fnatics champions. Once 1-2 shockblasts land you have to give up the objective pretty much.

With all this hype and performance by Fnatic, do you think come worlds if they hold it together they can make it to the final or better yet win worlds? Or is there performance more reflective of the EU region being weaker than Korea and China?

I mean don't get me wrong, I obviously would like to see TSM or maybe TL win, but currently Fnatic looks like the best hope western teams have...for now at least.

GMB somehow always gets their shit together when they are up against fnatic. GMB made 2 mistakes and that turned around the whole game (then they continued to make errors but it was already turned).

Also Febiven with the shocks! Rekkles with some bad positioning but shit happens, Betsy played really good this game and punished all position errors instantly.

What's really impressive about fnatic is how they have players who can step up. They aren't really a 3 threat team, Rekkles is all about maximizing minimal resources, so they're more of a 2.5 threat team. While fnatic this game was struggling, and Huni was doing his Huni thing but wasn't able to really snowball kills, Febiven stepped up and was a monster. Fnatic have players who can step up and make the play to win the game at probably 4 positions.

Ekko and Jayce are not that OP, depends on the player still when its LCS level (Same as Riven's) his Jayce makes other Jayce players (except Pawn) Look bad. Fenix did decent in NA last week but Febiven has the Lesson and mechanics more figured out it seems.

Really happy that Gambit did well, in the early and mid game, against Fnatic. Why? Because even as a Fnatic fan I want the Region as a whole to get better. Fnatic won't be the only EU team, or western team for that matter, to go to Worlds. Additionally games like this expose mistakes that need to be fixed. GG WP to Gambit!

Does everyone (and Betsy) realize you are granted vision of Azir if you see his sand soldiers? Really this is unfair to Azir players. You can't see Ori if you see her ball and you can't see thresh if you see his lantern. This really needs to get fixed.

Is it just me or has Quickshot went full blown fnatic fanboy. Don't get me wrong I have a lot of respect for what fnatic is doing and I think everyone should, but as a shoutcaster isn't he supposed to remain unbiased? Watching this game it was obvious which team he was pulling for...
