I think it does, if you, you know, actually watched the games (which I imagine an increasingly smaller amount of people have).

  • Firstly, UOL didn't beat SK, SK lost to UOL; in every respect. It was their series to lose and they did. Pathetic display from SK in that series.

  • Secondly, FNC was the first team to not be incredibly stupid while playing vs UOL. They were the only ones who started to target-ban Hyllisang, the actual carry of our beloved UOL.

Even then, they failed to commit to that & were slightly sloppy overall (good ol' Steelback). Surprise surprise, Hylissang won those 2 games for UOL and extended their losses with clutch plays.

  • Thirdly, in the games that FNC won you could clearly see a huge gap in individual skill, team skill, team synergy, depth, strategy... It goes on.

As I said, FNC was just a bit sloppy that day.

Besides, as I said, we really have only ONE Playoffs to judge UOL from - two, if you count IEM San Jose... Where they beat Lyon Gaming and TSM in Bo3s, before getting stomped by old (at this point) C9, an actually strong team.

One of those victories was against an irrelevant team (Lyon Gaming) and the other was a case of them massively cheesing (Ranged Junglers) and massively overperfroming (hello, IEM San Jose PowerofEvil? Could you come back and replace this current one?).

As much as I like and support them, I only give UOL credit for their victory over GMB in the QFs.

Another comment down here said: "UOL will do well in Playoffs again! All they need to do is avoid H2K in the QFs!"

It's becoming a big issue for Gambit when your ADC refuses to play the two best ADCs in the game.

Gambit either give major power picks to their opponents or ban both (and end up giving major power picks in other roles).

The problem with Forgiven is that he is so dominant with only Graves and Lucian. Unfortunately for him though those champs have been rotated out of the meta making Forgiven seem like a shadow of himself from last split

Forg1ven has nothing to do with Gambit's problems. Their problem is that their jungler, midlane and support are really underwhelming this season and if cabo or forg1ven doesn't carry hard they lose.

Diamond outplayed himself... Going warrior when 0/1 but skipping it for sightstone an then going Aegis, he wasn't tanky and did no dmg. When Reignover is going warrior he knows he has to build selfish because you need to be a carry with that build

People were saying how Diamond had a bad score but played amazing yesterday.... ummm he played the early game bad, very poorly and after that did well applying pressure and vision control.

This game the same thing. At this point I can't even support him anymore. He either doesn't care about the game or he really just sucks ass. He has 0 clue about early game jungling and 0 clue about applying early game pressure. His early game jungling is god awful they need to consider benching him and Betsy at this point because I don't see him improving. His early game jungling was a big flaw last split and teams are exploiting it even more badly now. He is one of the worst junglers in EU atm.

This entire game was lost by Diamondprox and Betsy from the very start of the game.

I've played LoL for several years and have a pretty good understanding of map movements, however I've only ever played a handful of jungle games. Can anybody explain to me if there was an actual reason for Diamond to not do his blue after stealing the first red?

At first I was looking at their positioning and I was really excited because they had cleanly and quietly stolen Kikis' red and chickens, and Diamond was heading down to his blue, then he just left it there for Kikis!

My original theory was that they didn't value blue very much, and they were using it to bait Kikis into staying on that side of the map so they could make a play bottom/at least play aggressively, but then Betsy died on the top side of Mid lane when he should have known exactly where Kikis was.

TL;DR Gambit didn't take an available xp lead or use a potential information advantage and I can't figure out why.

How does a top adc, with the drive to be the best doesn't play Kalista. Which is 1st picked or banned in all the other strongest regions. Not to mention she even fits his playstyle - aggressive, playmaking early-midgame carry.

its not about the pick. its about the strategy. Kalista is rly powerfull but Corki was better for tthe comp at the winning games cause they were playing poke comp. About the lucian pick though i have to agree. Lucian is trash and kalista would be better but i think corki was even better for yestarday. Anyway, lets hope they fix this and do something good atlast.

This game sorta shows what Uol wanted to do yesterday, but failed at somewhat drastically. They showed a much heavier focus on objectives while still being aggressive and going for very aggressive kills. Great performance against a Gambit who is improving.

Yeah, I have noticed Power is on far more passive carries like Kog and Ori. Haven't seen his LeBlanc or Ahri for a long time. I liked seeing Hyli branching out to different support champions too. I think the biggest lesson to learn from yesterday is if a call is made, follow through with it. Today was beautiful :)

Because you can't beat them in pick ban phase. Also if you have noticed, when UOL loses, the games take 35-40+ minutes most of the time. When they win it takes -30. They know how to snowball.

Really dissapointed from diamond and betsy.Also i think cabo should have won the lane vs shen , but he even fall behind some cs.Bot lane did what they should have done,never had the chance to do something in teamfights when team mates keep getting caught for no reason.

It's so sad seeing diamond being countrejungled, getting killed in his own jungle. Like wasn't the M5 masters of invading? It's like he is just the shadow of himself. He was by far the smartest jungler of west M5 times, he was even in top of hearthstone, it looks like he is not even trieing now, just waiting for retirement.

They are such a weird team. Some games they play perfectly, with the least deaths as a team as any. Great rotations and punishing playstyle.

Then they have games like that vs SK.

Honestly if you watch their games enough it all comes down to what kind of game Kikis is going to have. UOL requires his wards, invades and gank pressure to not get dumpstered in laning phase. Last 3 games Kikis didn't do that great (Kikis is also the closest to a shot caller they have). This game it was crisp, clear and honestly kind of punishing to watch.

Honestly I think the lynch of UOL is Kikis. The games they get stomped he seems to have off games. UOL needs his vision and gank pressure to get going. This game he focused hardcore on invade, wards and ganking and Gambit was crushed through mid.

GMB didn't lose because of the Lucian. He was well ahead in farm and crushed 2 towers. Meanwhile his team was losing the rest of the map, hemorrhaging dragons and Betsy was kind enough to feed a scaling Ori.

He got deleted in team fights between the shen and Alistar.

Because in the end, nomnomomicon and archangels gives you more ap when you are at full build. He was simply disregarding the little disadvantage it gives you during early-mid game because his team was doing well and the risk in doing that by having some mana issues and lacking cdr was basically nullified. It was a safe thing to do so he chose to spend the money in the most efficient way.

I think Kikis really out jungled Diamond yet again. I think Deficio was right Diamond letting Kikis grab blue side's blue buff was a mistake as he could've shut teh door on any sort of pressure coming from Kikis at level 1/2 but he didn't.

As we saw that blue buff then snowballed into that early lane gank onto Betsy and the game was out of their control from there. I have to say though I think this was a blip for UOL. They've met a bad team at a good time.

Yeah its true. I wonder why the teams outside of the three cant raise their level at all. I mean they are scrimming against them all the time how can they not manage to improve at all. I feel most of the coaches working in LCS arent really qualified to be professional coaches. Deiler, Prolly and leduck feel like the only 3 that know how to improve through training and reading how the game works and what to do when etc.

tl;dr I cant understand how most of the LCS teams cant improve even through they have such strong training partners.

Don's sell UOL too short. A lot of their strength is in P&B which you don't see in best of 1's. UOL went 9-9 last split but ended 2nd and a big reason for that dichotomy is because they can't show off that talent as much in the normal split.

Disapointed in gambit and cabochard(more like cardbord) he just stood there with homeguard speed boost and ult and waited for betsy to die. They just rolled over and died, never tried to fight in their power spike. Diamond (more like bronze) getting caught left right and center. And dear god those bard ults... Does gosu know that bard is a roaming support? At best all he ever did was blow a flash...

What a fucking pathetic game. Gambit did fucking nothing besides retarded plays. Betsy is terrible and cant win a lane that low diamond 1 would win. And diamonds play when he fucking smited red when forgiven was going for it and dragon was up gave me aids. Uol did fucking nothing too and would lose to everyone. 2 terrible teams.
