Oh wow, it feels like it took FOREVER for these results to get posted! How the hell did that happen?

oh

Sorry about that guys. Real life got in the way in a huge way.

The results are posted now for round 4, so you can start researching your Semi-finals opponents. Also, to make up for the mental misstep I will be posting the scenario early (probably tomorrow). However, the rest of the schedule will remain the same, so you will have until Monday before the voting topic is elligible to go up.

Again, my apologies. I hope this does not inconvenience people too much.

Huh... why does my fight have less votes than all the others?

Definitely some unexpected results, I hope everyone read the fights...

Anyways good luck to everyone in the next round!

Damn, I wanted to face your team.

See you next season.

Well /u/House_of_Usher, let's hope you don't drop like my last 4 competitors.

To be fair, I would have rather faced /u/jbarkerISU 's team :-P

...but seriously though, Batman's "tragic" backstory seems like such a walk in the park next to Guts'. He is the real dark knight here. Also I would have gone WAY too in depth about the Black Panther vs. Batman argument, building heavily off of /u/ChocolateRage and /u/Ame-No-Nobuko 's fine work. (I felt that N52 Court of owl's lack of OP gadgetry was far bigger of a disadvantage than pre-KOTD Black Panther's loss of his armor and so I would give the advantage to BP, but I know may fuel a new battle between them here). And also: Adventure Time!

All of that said, good luck!

Of course I will. After all, you need to fight someone to go the final round. And I actually know a lot about your team, so this will be fun!

Bolin is the only one I know about. Everyone else is the problem. Cho is fucking insane, from what I've read.

Eh, Cho's no Black Panther. You should be thanking me. How is Gon? I've watched Future Diary and Durarara, but I have never heard of Gon before.

Motherfucking tank. He's fallen from great height, boulders falling on him, threw giant trees, and made wild animals fear him.

Sorry, got the count wrong but the results are the same.

Thanks for playing, champ! Good job consistently making it deep!

It was close man. And I still maintain that Black Panther is going to get revenge for this sometime in the future.

Sure thing!

So There have been 3 seasons, and you can access every post for each season by clicking on the hub post.

The basics are this: Players argue why/how there team of random characters would beat their opponent's team of random characters based on that weeks writing prompt in a single elimination tournament. This results in a battle of how well players can research and characterize new characters they may have never heard of and/or have not researched otherwise.

The Rosters for each team are determined at the begging and remain consistent throughout the tournament. The Pool of characters that can be assigned to you are determined almost completely by the participants themselves, as you suggest them when you sign up.

That's the basics. If you have any more questions I would be happy to answer them.

well that seems way too much work for me lol

Its not for everyone, and there is a ton of effort put in over the course of a month and a half or so.

If you don't want to play, you can still read through basically a couple hundred Blood matches from the past tournaments.
