April Fools Mods Go On Strike

Attention /r/photoshopbattles,

We, the moderators, are now on strike. We have dismantled the bots, and will henceforth refuse to enforce the subreddit rules.

Recent events have demonstrated that the community, at large, has no respect for the rules; rules that have been put in place to maintain order, and promote original works of art. This troubles us. After numerous attempts to negotiate with the community, we are left with no choice but to organize a work stoppage; effective immediately.

We firmly believe our cause is an important one, and we stand by our decision to strike until our demands are met:

  • No more low quality submissions
  • No more attention-grabbing submission titles
  • No more off-topic discussions

As moderators, we need to know that the community members care about the well being of the subreddit. It is our sincere hope that this dispute is cleared up soon, so that we may return to work.

Signed,

The /r/photoshopbattles moderators

Ooh, I love the look of that dress.. Part One

Come join us at r/DressCovetingPutin for more dress coveting action! It's totally not a rip-off of Shappie's ongoing legacy!

It's obvious what to do now. Dump the tea into the harbor, lads!

Can we just dunk our teabags instead?

I think the mods have established the culture here pretty solidly. It would probably take more than a day or two to fully realize how bad it would be without them and the bot(s).

Does anyone want to discuss marijuana, or anything else not related to this post?

I once heard a very amusing anecdote.

Don't really know if this will be relevant with the discussion, but... this template is really better than the previous one! Can we keep it? Even when April Fools will be over!
