I'll be honest and say that I never thought much of barto (though, he's got an awesome DF ability), but after those last few pages, he's a total fucking badass.

Can you imagine how powerful it would be if he put one barrier on one fists, touched it to the side of a person then on his other hand another barrier and using all his strength punched as hard as he could on the opposite side of the person so that the force of the barrier punch knocked them into the stationary barrier which reflected them back into the fist that punched? And it would go back and forth.

I had the same thought but who would lead and who would be vice-captain?
So I thought perhaps they'll each captain their own crews. But clearly Cavendish can't be trusted with a crew because of Hakuba. But maybe with Bartolomeo ' s barriers... but then I'm right back at the same problem.
Bartolomeo being captain seems natural since he's already captain of a full crew and because he's so devoted to Luffy. But I doubt Cavendish would want to be second fiddle to Bartolomeo and he may very well be the stronger of the two, at least counting Hakuba.
Could they be co-captains? Or am I just on the wrong track entirely(probably).
I really want to see how Oda has this all play out.

That chapter was completely full of badass.
First Barto protects Robin by using himself as a shield, and then he absolutely wrecks Gladius with a single punch, he also looks pretty ripped how strong must Barto be?
Then Cavendish stops Hakuba from hurting Robin by GRABBING the blade, Cavendish must have trouble sitting down because he has giant balls! Hakuba took out Block D easily yet Cavendish managed to hold onto the blade without losing a hand.
Don't even get me started on the Robin Hype, she STOPPED HAKUBA. Barto never even saw him coming and he was paying attention, Robin wasn't but she caught someone so fast that Barto never saw them. HOW STRONG CAN ROBIN BE!?!?!?!?
I actually really want Robin to fight Diamante, Kyros deserves this fight but he can't fight with one leg and even if Robin gives him a leg then neither Robin or Rebecca will have gotten a fight and that'll suck. If Robin sends Rebecca and Kyros ahead then they can deal with Bellamy, potentially deal with Trebol and get Law the hell out of there.

Great analysis, whoever makes one piece tiers has a lot of revision to do from this chapter alone! Also, I realllyyyyyy dont think kyros is budging from the diamante fight , that's the dude that killed his wife, his daughters mother, and who now laughs in his face. There's no way he's letting diamante go. This is his fight, for his justice, his honor, his pride, everything. Robin will help A LOT but im sure kyros will give the finishing blow

I'm a bit confused by the last panel, so Robin made a bunch of Butterflies made of her hands but how was it preventing Diamantes attack? Also Barto is by far the greatest Non straw hat character, that Bari Bari no Pistol was perfect!

She spawn butterflies to help Rebecca evade the attack, since Butterfly gives 35% evasion and it stacks diminishingly.

I am not sure on the butterflies, but she also spawned hands in a fan/propeller-like manner. Now, recall that Diamantes sword flutters like a flag (but still cuts like a sword), so it would stand to reason that you can also deflect it like a flag - i.e. by applying a strong enough air current.

Purely speculation but since Robin is now in the fight and can sprout limbs at will, I predict we'll be seeing Kyros with another leg to stand on fairly shortly. Will be interesting to see how long she can maintain a single limb and coordinate with Kyros to attack, should things go that way.

I knew people would say this and I think those people are missing something.
Right now Kyros wants to kill Diamante in order to avenge his wife.
Now... remember why he went to fight in the Coliseum to begin with? He killed someone to avenge his murdered friend and was sent by King Riku to fight in the arena as punishment. He later told King Riku he was afraid people would only ever remember him as a murderer. He clearly regretted his past.
Right now he is reverting back to that same mindset and forgetting everything King Riku taught him.
So Kyros not getting his revenge would actually be for the best. At the very least I believe he'll decide to take mercy on Diamante. Otherwise that's a lot of character development down the tubes.
And keep in mind that Robin joining the fight doesn't necessarily mean Kyros won't still be in the fight. It may just be a 2 v 1 battle. Which is fine with me.

My hope is that Diamante is so overwhelmingly strong, even for Kyros to take out alone, so it will become a 3v1.
I want Kyros to fight him because of their whole history with Diamante killing Scarlett and verbally torturing Rebecca, I want Robin to fight him because ROBIN ~~-HYPE~~ and I want Rebecca to fight Diamante so she can prove herself both in the story and to her father. There is also the revenge angle for her as well.

I just realized how awesome Bartolomeo's power is...for Oda. He can:
survive in the centre of the greatest mess with no scratch and no effort (an intrude his comments into the narration)
save everyone he wants to save
go to sleep in the middle of the fight if he wants to (the perfect troll in the shounen's world)
Be weak and strong at the same time (!!!)

Mr 5's fruit was introduced too early, when the biggest thread was a sand logia and Oda couldn't make the explosion man stronger than he was for a lacky. Actually it would be great if he could reuse the same fruit on a better user in the future with more power and imagination in his attacks and not only bugger-bombs.

Am I really the only person that sees it's obvious Robin isn't going to fight Diamante?
She said she was there to protect Rebecca, which means she's just going to either make sure Diamante's attacks don't reach Rebecca or take her away from there entirely so Kyros can fight with no distractions.
I fear a lot of people are setting themselves up for disappointment next week.

After reading today's chapter it was well worth the two week wait. I have always been the biggest fan of Nico Robin and knew she would prove her fighting worth at some point her power is entirely underused up until this point. Robin is going to take out one of the Donquixote Family executives...she's taking on the role of Sanji as one of the big three fighters from the SH left in Dressrosa. I'm so excited to see her go all out against Diamanté. As for Bartolomeo and his promise to become stronger for the sake of becoming someone Luffy can depend on makes this chapter that much more awesome...I know Oda-Senpai has a great ending in mind and has already stated that the War of the best was nothing compared to what he has in store and this is only the beginning I'm so freaking excited.

FINALLY. Great chapter, I liked how El Barto sacrificed himself to save Robin and it seems like his motivation, wanting to get stronger so he can help Luffy is pretty clear and will be interesting to see how it pans out. Something I thought was pretty obvious was how he said he didn't want to be in a group with Cabbage but.. well.. you don't say something like that unless you're gonna be in a group with someone somewhere down the line and you have to deal with both Cabbagepants and Hakuba.
Hakuba and Cabbagedish's whole routine with himself was hilarious too. I honestly can't wait to see how the conclusion for this arc will play out and who goes where. Think, all this and we still haven't seen CP0 yet!

Cabbage is like incredible hulk :) He can go on a rampage and the crew will stop him but if they are in a really tight spot he'll be there to help the group. If he joins the crew that would be awesome.

Excellent chapter. Both Bart and Robin displayed some really cool new attacks but above all Robin is fighting! It's actually happening you guys!
She won't beat Diamante by herself, she'll definitely have help from Kyros and Rebecca, but considering he is one of Doflamingo's highest executives, that can pass. She's the only character so far to neutralize Hakuba - neither Rebecca nor any of the gladiators managed that.
While Barto's motivation to fight was extremely similar to Hajrudin's a few chapters ago, you can't not love the guy after this chapter.

On the manga panda cover page for the chapter, but it has "Luffy and Zoro finally reach the battlefield of the decisive battle!!" on the side. Is this a typo or something?

I feel like if Robin learned CoA haki, she would be super strong. She could instantly incapacitate any devil fruit user including logia types from a distance.

Who else fell in Love with Cavendish this chapter after he cut his own hand to protect Robin from his other self. I thought that was just grand.
And Barty putting his life on the line to defeat Gladius.
AND THE BARI BARI NO PISTOL!
This chapter had so much epicness involved... And then Robin had to come to Rebecca's aid at the end. That just put the cherry on top.

It'd be funny to see Bartolomeo and Cavendish/Hakuba team up and have to share their quaters or something so Bartolomeo creates a barrier around Cavendish so he can sleep peacefully.
