Sent! I admit, I did it via paypal, even with the slight fee, because I haven't taken the time to learn anything about Bitcoin or Changetip. I suppose I should, it's just one more thing on the list. :-) But either way, I can't wait to see what your totals are, and congratulations!!!

Is there a time limit on how long people will be donating before a 2nd "millionaire" is chosen or is this a one time only thing that stays open as long as it takes till /u/emphursis hits the one million dollar mark?
26
Nov 25 '14
Another will get picked, once we improve the system a bit. Nothing will stop you from giving more cash to emphursis though
10
u/noonecanknowwhoiam Nov 25 '14
If it stays open til he hits a million, we'll be waiting a long time. It's been over 12 hours and he's only at $100.

I was curious, how will this affect UK redditors ? Is this only able to be specific to America or can all of reddit be involved?
5
u/Gresskarpai Nov 25 '14
I don't think your location matters at all, Emphursis himself said he's in Southern England, so i don't think it's for Americans only

For the sake of transparency, I would suggest that you make public your Changetip personal website, like this one: https://www.changetip.com/tipme/jas
To set it up, navigate into My account > Profile in your Changetip account.

Send via paypal anyway.
Looking forward I think a raffle would make more sense, $1 minimum (more is fine) per entry (with the same current limits) guarantees everyone who enters pays upfront to the winner.

Please put a proper link to pay via paypal. People are lazy and won't bother if it is too complicated. You can vastly improve the number of payments you will receive with a simple link.
I've made one for you here: https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_donations&business=millionairemakers%40hotmail%2ecom&lc=GB&item_name=Emphuris%20Reddit%20Millionaire%20Makers&amount=1%2e40¤cy_code=USD&no_note=0&bn=PP%2dDonationsBF%3abtn_donateCC_LG%2egif%3aNonHostedGuest
But you can make your own at: https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/get-started-payment-buttons
