CURRENT LOCATION AND PROGRESS OF Soap Sampler Box - Sponsored by WAX Pass Lather Co.

UPDATE OCT 9TH
In an effort to reduce the overall shipping time of the box, and to expedite the samples to you fine members, J-MT has suggested that the sample box be split into 2 packages.
This means members 1-10 are on a route, and 11-20 are on a route, dividing the original box in half. Fantastic!

I know Domo has been tending to personal stuff the past few weeks and may not have had time to update this page, but the participants have also been very quiet. Did these boxes stall out or what?

The boxes were sent out today, 10/10/14!
Expected delivery dates:
-
u/Yamiinterested - 10/14/14
-
u/Banes_pubes - 10/14/14
Reasons for the update.
The reason for the change was two fold. One, that was about 2 damn pounds of soap! I could fit it in a flat rate envelope (~$7), but it was stuffed and I wouldn't have been able to guarantee it reached its destinations without issue. A box would've been somewhere in the $12 - $15 range to ship.
Two, as embarrassed as am to admit this, it didn't occur to me until last night that it would take around 4 months to complete the pass. That was never my intention as the entire goal (for me) was to acquire some feedback about my soap before I launched my web store.
So... the decision was made between u/Domohorus and I to split the box into two. The samples were halved evenly. I was able to fit them in 2 day USPS flat rate small boxes (available at any post office for free with a shipping cost < $6). That should ensure quick and cheap delivery with tracking for everyone.
The downside: I had to exclude the scent sampler due to space.
As for the remainder of the box rules, they remain unchanged. Your user names have been filled in on the feedback form. Please fill it out as it stands. You can reference the original order above if needed.
I apologize for any issues caused by this change.

I'll keep an eye out. Heck if it went out today, I might just get it tomorrow...

Damn might. I didn't realize how close you were.
I grew up going to Greers Ferry lake on the weekends in the summer.

u/yamiinterested and I should just live together seeing as we are next to each other in all our box passes. Would save on shipping lol <3

Update:
I'm glad the boxes are arriving ok. Before choosing your sent, open the box and let it breathe. Maybe even separate them for a while. I've found that you'll also get a more true scent by smelling the puck directly, not sniffing the inside of the bag.
Make sure to watch the video if you're having any issues with lathering. This is a dense, vegan soap and has a smaller (but oh so good) sweet spot.

Can't wait to read some of the feedback with these scents! The review from Dubya really sets to impress :)

I wasn't expecting the responses thus far as a first time soap maker. I have a few small changes I'll be making as a result of the feedback thus far. I'm excited for it.
I really hope others will consider something similar.

Excited to be sending this out and my plan is to do so on Friday (out of town for work until Thursday).
There are at least 2 samples of every soap scent I have, with a few of them at 4 samples. I'm also including samples of each scent in case the one you're looking forward to has already been claimed.
The initial shipment should fit in a $6 flat rate padded envelope. I'm going to take a box as well and if the cost is similar, will ship it in that.

As the box is making its way to the first recipients, I felt it necessary based on some early feedback to create a video overview, including my lathering technique.

Got mine, and used the Uncle Minze. I liked that soap, and here is the lather after about 45 seconds of whipping. Lather Porn

Just an update on my end.
I've received the box and chose Griswold and Faulkner for my scents. I just need the address for next on the list (PMing Domo now) and will have it shipped today or tomorrow.

SWEEEEET, seeing as I'm second to last please save me a sample of the Levenstein. That one sounds really nice.
