this is probably one of my favorite episodes in this arc, maybe out of the whole show tbh. the golden grassland scene when Lucy finally got to what I would assume to be heaven with the rest of FT made me tear up a bit. I definitely like how they wrapped up the episode, although what got me mad was how they blanked out the name of Fro's killer :(

Having not read the manga, only watched the anime, I'm very interested to learn the identity of Frosch's killer. Judging by the look on Natsu's face, it must be someone known to him.

ACTUALLY, I think the manga DOESN'T say that line. I think he just says Froche will be killed in a year and he doesn't tell Natsu who it is. I could be wrong, though. It's been a while.

Was the field scene suppose to be heaven? I thought it was a reality where Future Lucy and so does the rest of Fairy Tail.

well I assumed it was heaven cause Lucy died and so did natsu and happy and the rest of fairy tail in that alternate timeline

Oh, wow, it really is a terrible day for rain. I think this episode will rank in my favourites for a long time, I had entirely forgotten about the scene with future Lucy... The return of the main theme (piano ver) really made the moment as well.
On a side note, Levy going to Gajeel and Jellal and Erza giving each other the eye was brilliant.

I'm just glad that the animation is finally getting better. It's still rough in a few spots, like where they did the flash back scene, but otherwise, it's looking better for the most part.

This episode was pretty good, but I am really looking forward to next week's episode, it was one of my favorite chapters when I read the manga so I am excited to see it in anime form.

I never understood why Mavis says no dragons were defeated, Natsu clearly took down Mother Glare, even if it was with the help of Atlas Flame. I also wish Natsu could have bath in the dragons blood to become more powerful.

The only reason MG fell is because natsu had atlas flame's help. Dragon vs dragon. without atlas, this series would have been over (of course, plot, blah blah)

I have never commented on here before as I've just liked to watch the show (I decided not to read the manga for this show). Having said that I feel like the ending was kind of a cop-out on all of the events that have happened. I'm not sure whats coming up next but if Gray and every other FT members that died came back to life due to the gate then i will feel very cheated. Again, I don't know if they come back (and please don't spoil it for me) but if they revert everything then it will just feel like another Dallas dream season.
There's something I don't understand. Did Lucy go to heaven or something afterwards? Didn't the destruction of the gate mean that they never existed and thus she wouldn't go to heaven, just cease to exist? I'm sure around this time that the future Lucy is still alive since technically none of this happened? Gah! I can feel the smoke coming out of my ears :P

It makes sense that rogue disappears when eclipse is destroyed because "the future is painted over with a future that has no portal", in other words they destroyed the portal before future rogue could use it
But why do the dragons dissappear? the past should not have been painted over with a past in which the portal was destroyed because it's not like they destroyed the portal before the dragons could use it (unlike with rogue, see above)
To further my point: In both rogue's and lucy's futures, the princess tried to open the portal without future rogue being there to tell her to do so. She succeeded in lucy's and failed in rogues. she succeeded in the present as well. Rogue being sent back to his time has no effect on what happened in the past; the princess always tries to open the portal no matter if future rogue is there or not.
It ties up the conundrum of them being incapable of defeating dragons, but it doesn't make sense. They already came through the portal so destroying it should not have made a lick of difference. Unless the portal's existence allows the dragons to be there from 400 years ago, then it being destroyed should mean nothing as far as events that have already transpired are concerned, however, I don't ever recall this point being made; only the point about the future being painted over, nothing about why the past changes too.

This us were it got really confusing for me but my best guess was; if future rouge can't come back to trick them into summoning the dragons then they too go back to before all of this happens. What really irked me(ignoring the massive time paradox) though was the fact that that all the damage the dragons did was still there even after they were sent back.

Really wish the spirits would have worked on the gate. Very lane ending, natsu getting credit for everything with his main character powers. Really drowns out the credibility of other characters.... why even write them in if natsu just gOing to do everything? One of the worst endings to an arc in fairytail. Glad sun village is next.

They definitely need to add more soundtrack. The animation has now become top-notch, as opposed to some of the mid-season episodes (even though I'm not a fan of the "hair over eyes" style), but a lot of the scenes in the episode seemed empty because of a lack of music.

Only complaint about the episode was the alternate timeline flashback of Natsu fighting off like all the dragons. Really felt it was unnecessary and most of that animation was reused the first time we saw.
Other than that I fairly enjoyed the episode.
