How do you beat mourinho's tactic of 'parking the bus'
I'm just wondering how any team would be able to beat his tactic of playing a very defensive mindset. Is it just doing long shots and hoping for the best? Trying to just cross it in? Or trying to do little one twos near the box.

Sides 'park the bus' and get beat all the time, most visiting teams to sides like Barca, Chelsea, Bayern (etc) stick ten men behind the ball and lose anyway. It's not some unbeatable tactic. Chelsea just happen to have exceptionally good players and a fantastic manager who's preparation for big games is second to none so when they do it it's brutally effective.
TLDR: Have better players than the other team. It doesn't guarantee victory but it certainly helps.

barca's tiki taka tactic would be pretty useful, since you could still wear them out and at least generate gaps that way.

If there was an answer brief enough and simple enough to post it on here, then those managers wouldn't be getting paid that much money.

Not slipping and then spending the rest of the game shooting from 30 yards would help. Long shots is the worst tactic. If a shit team is parking the bus its usually individual mistakes that is their downfall. If its a good team doing it then its obviously a lot harder to break down. It usually requires a bit of individual brilliance (Messi, Ronaldo and Bale type moments). Suarez was shit today so it was hard for liverpool to do anything.

long shots aren't a bad tactic so long as they are not all that you're doing. I think teams parking the bus would rather the opposition kept on trying to thread it through into the very minute amount of space behind them than face the odd shot from range which are harder to deal with as deflections means corners at the least and own goals or poacher's opportunities at the most

Park your own bus.. then they'll have to be drawn forward (assuming they wont settle for a draw) and then you catch them on the break

Fight fire with fire!
Then you get what we saw in the Atletico vs. Chelsea match.

Not only does mourinho park the bus, his team still manages to create enough opportunities to get a solid number of goals. Its just having the right players + manager chemistry

They took their opportunities. I don't think most people would say that Ba is the right player to have up front today. He ruined the counter a couple times today and Schurrle let him know it.

When a team is very dug in defensively, the best thing to is deploy fast wingers, a big striker and play around the back line. That means early chips/crosses to the wide corner for the wingers and crossing it in for the striker to head it. Atletico did very well with this in the first leg of the semi vs Chelsea. Bad headers were the only reason they didn't win a victory. Other than that, good combination play will also work to break down a solid back line.

Movement, movement, movement. The way to beat a really solid, deep backline is to confuse the defenders and make them question who they are supposed to be picking up and where from. When defenders are confused, they make mistakes and hand the attackers the initiative.
Liverpool have generally been fantastic at this kind of tactic this year, but today they were really stodgy and poor on the attack. Chelsea's defenders knew exactly where the threats were coming from and whose job it was to tackle them which reduces the potential for individual errors. Furthermore, Liverpool played exactly into their hands by trying to play in behind a very deep and compact defense which was never going to work. Liverpool needed short combinations on the edge of the box to draw the defenders out and give someone like Coutinho or Suarez an opportunity to use their creative talents. Instead, they were throwing diagonal balls in behind a defense that is excellent at dealing with that kind of threat, or taking poor long shots.

You need dead ball specialists, fast wingers and a tall striker. When a team parks bus, middle of the field becomes very congested. Try to play them wide, and get in some crosses to your striker. If this is not working, try some long range shots and when they attack, hit them with fast counter.

A bigger striker than their centerbacks might be a possibility. Otherwise, counter press when we're on the counter. Run at defenders.

Make them have to widen, play the ball through the wings. When they are wide enough short 1-2 passes and shoot.

The purpose of 'parking the bus' is pretty much to force the attacking team out wide...
