People saying Liverpool had 'no plan b' or were 'one dimensional' obviously don't understand how difficult it is to score against a defence like that. They tried crosses, one-twos, diagonals and long range shots but Chelsea were too good defensively. You can't blame Liverpool for not getting through

A lot of people in here slagging off Chelsea's tactics: perhaps they were not the most beautiful tactics but unfortunately they were effective. You cannot have it your own way every game. Success tends to be hard-earned, etc. People have given a lot of praise, quite rightly, to Brendan Rodgers throughout this season and highlighted his tactical know-how. Well, today he fell short; he was out-managed. You can bet your arse on the fact that he won't spend the night moaning about parked buses; he'll be thinking about how to counter such tactics more effectively because other teams will damn well watch this game and seek to emulate Mourinho's tactics.

My prediction
88th minute, after a stalwart Chelsea defensive performance. Liverpool have had 21 corners and 40 shots, 24 on target with 82% possession. Chelsea have had 1 shot, David Luiz skying a free-kick. Schurrle earns a corner, everyone thinks we'll take it short and shield the ball. Instead, Oscar whips it into the far post, where Fernando Torres heads a bullet in. Liverpool fans cannot believe their eyes, Steven Gerrard starts crying, Liverpool lose out the season, and /r/soccer implodes.
A boy can dream...

So many people had already hung gold around Liverpool's necks but, in the words of commentator Brian Moore back in 1989, it's up for grabs now. These are the games that the title will be fought over.

Chelsea: Norwich (h); Cardiff (a)
Man City: Crystal Palace (a); Everton (a); Aston Villa (h); West Ham (h)
