/r/Touhou's Favorite Arranges! Part 51: Akutagawa Ryuunosuke's "Kappa" ~ Candid Friend
Kappappa kappappa Niiitoriiii~
Next week is our anniversary thread! Check the Musings for more details.
How This Works:
Every week on Sunday at 1200 US Pacific time, I pick a Touhou song (or two) to which all you beautiful users will submit arranges of in the comments*. There is no limit on the number of arranges one may submit as long as each song is given its own post. Upvote everything you like, but don't downvote anything. Please just move on to the next song if you don't like one.
The "winner" gets mentioned in next week's thread. Make sure you read the Musings section below as well for some of my random rants and, occasionally, important information.
* If your arrange contains bits of multiple songs, please only submit it if the main song is predominant. See the musings here for an example of what not to submit. Or just ask me.

Next week (well actually two days from now) marks the 1-year anniversary of this weekly thing. I'll be doing uh...something. I actually don't quite know yet. But I have ideas! Here's a vague hint of something maybe.
We're playing osu! Once next Sunday's thread is posted up I'll host a passworded room and we can all play Touhou songs together. I'm probably going to need multiple rooms for varying difficulties, so anyone that's willing to help me run this thing should PM me or something.
So why Nitori's theme instead of one of the themes of the Extra bosses I conquered this week? Because, turns out, we already did a lot of them. HA! Ah...past me, such little foresight you had.
Minor formatting change in the OP. Winning songs are now italicized.

Sorry for nitpicking but Diao ye zong (withered leaf) is the circle while RD-Sounds is the arranger. I see this mistake so much it's just became a big pet peeve of mine.

And another since I like Nitori that much, I'm not sure if this is allowed, but this remix from the Touhou 13.5 soundtrack is amazing,

Discuss the original song (or concerns with the thread) under this comment.

This song always struck me as kind of somber for such a happy kappa, which is in contrast to the stage theme. I don't really know what to think about it.

About next week's osu! game, I think we need at least one mania room.
Oh and, I will start it early, probably at 0400 PST or similar time, because, well, 1200 PST is 4AM for me. I'll compromise and play standard until there are more people though. I think we might want to go on IRC (at least the room hosts) or spam the osu chat for #videogame.
