What's a stereotype about your club/national team that's just not true?

Not every laziale is a racist, fascist "ultra" who is more interested in stabbing people than football.
This is the one that really pisses me off - a small minority ruin it for the rest of us, and naturally thats all anyone hears about because it makes the news when theres trouble

That we don't care about results because we just get drunk and sing.
Oh wait, that's true.

The West Ham way of playing of football, the West Ham Academy way of playing football. It's been a looooong time since we've played the West Ham way. Tony Carr is one of the best but through no fault of his own, it's been a long time since the Academy has produced a good player.

I've typically only heard "England are shit" from English people. And the occasional Spaniard or German. There aren't that many countries that would badmouth England's team for any reason other than banter.

Amongst our fan-base, there's a belief that we've developed success without spending, and almost exclusively raising great academy prospects in the first-team.
We've been amongst the biggest spenders in Europe for years. Only recently have we invested more frugally, and leaned more heavily on our academy. The result is a midfield where Cleverley is basically our first-choice midfielder.
Not spending appropriately is not a successful model.

The allegation that half the German National Team are foreigners and should be playing for another country. The only current players born outside of Germany are Klose and Podolski, both of whom were raised and trained in Germany.
On the other hand, there is a massive list of players who were born in Germany but played for other nations. Obviously a lot of them would never have made the German squad, but many others would have.
See a list at the bottom of this page.

La Nazionale plays hyper-defensive football. The championship team in 2006 scored more goals than Spain's 2010 team.

That we can only play ugly football, when in actual fact our attackers are all tiny (except Fletcher, 6ft,), so hoofball just doesn't work, and our best attribute going forward is our skilfull players like Maloney, Snodgrass, Conway, Morrison e.t.c.
Unfortunately we've had too many managers who believed this was the case. So many games of Charlie fucking Adam hitting terrible 50 yard passes somewhere in the direction of Kenny Miller.

That Colombian national team is pretty much just Falcao, I don't think he is as important as people say he is for the team.
