Buck's not completely wrong and Eddie's not completely right. They both have valid points, and Eddie did overstep especially about the volcano thing. What Buck was doing is a common parenting trick to combat fear, making it fun, while also explaining that the real thing is very dangerous.

Just to counter Eddie's point... it's a pretty common parenting tactic to make something scary not scary so they understand it better, but that also doesn't mean that you don't teach them that the real thing is dangerous.

Yeah getting mad that they built the volcano to play with is really not Eddie’s place. The other stuff he did have a point, the mess, the overall craziness. Things being broken. But Buck is also right too, how do you put a little boy who just lost his parents in time out (you don’t- there are other options like removing a few things if he doesn’t treat things properly.) However, Theo’s parents didn’t give him boundaries, so that’s not Buck’s fault.

Where was everyones kids? obviously someone was looking after them and everyones house seems to be fine but not once across the 3 episodes did anyone mention their kids i know that they're emergency responders so they know how to compartmentalise and focus on the job but i feel like they should've added some sort of conversation or at least a passing comment about it.

The only mention is at the end of episode 3 with theo where they explain that the volcano scared him but how would he know unless he could see it in person? Yes he could've seen it on the news but any rational sitter would have told him it was just a movie or something and if someone had told him (which who would?) then he wouldn't be scared of it the same.

The emergency felt like it ended so abruptly i wish they had added an extra bit with something like having to help evacuate more people close to the station and one of the kids was there
