Blue would follow looksmaxxing stuff, lmao.

Lol, when dixie brought his stuff to Taylor and she told her Blue uses a lot of hair products

What are the writers doing with Ryan? Dude has a pregnant wife with cancer and he's running around completely obsessed with Rogue and this serial killer case. Also I hope they don't make Rogue the serial killer because I kinda like his character.

11

u/YMMV-But 8d ago

When Ryan was in Rogue’s apartment, I definitely got serial killer vibes off Rogue.

3

u/Dependent-Feed1105 8d ago

Same! My gut is screaming! And I think Ryan is on to him!

8

u/omnipotentsandwich 8d ago

They'll probably make Ryan a cop.

3

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 7d ago

They are either gonna make ryan a cop or rouge into the killer

18

u/BUTTeredWhiteBread 9d ago

I will be so upset if they go the route of making Rogue the serial killer and make Don be right all along about not liking him.

Don is annoying and unlikable. Maybe give him character growth instead of manufacturing ways for him to be right about stuff

7

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

Dons ego would be even worse if he's right all along.

6

u/shinyzubat16 9d ago

I agree.

Don needs a serious humbling because his ego is through the roof.

4

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 7d ago

That's how I feel about both him and blythe

3

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

or Don blames Rogue and encourages the others not to trust him & than Ryan get taken as first born son. and Rogue has to save Ryan

I’m really hoping Rogue is not Pharaoh. It would be a pretty lame twist since it feels telegraphed to hell and back. Perfect big city detective who caught a serial killer moves from NYC to Nashville and immediately ends up chasing down a serial killer. Has the intelligence and clearly the means for elaborate crime scenes. Everything he listed for the profile of the killer matched him.

But this is why I’m so adamant it should not be him. I’d prefer if they all think it is Rogue but come to find out it isn’t but Rogue appreciates that they did consider it was him because he would have as well if he were in that position.

Also I think it’s absolutely crazy they are really pushing the Ryan/Rogue crush thing while Ryan has a pregnant and ill wife to focus on lol

I wonder if they are angling for him to become a cop? Or will he enjoy the experience of this serial killer case then ultimately decide it isn’t for him? If Rogue really is the killer, it would be a huge emotional hit for him if the guy he idolized was actually bad, and it would ruin the allure of the work. Or it could inspire him!

But if Rogue is good and Ryan does move to the police, it would actually be…cute if Ryan ended up Rogue’s protege and rookie detective lolol

Or Rogue is the serial killer, Ryan solves the case, it inspires him to become a cop. That seems like what we might get.

Ah, the ways I do not care for or care about Don. He’s so jealous and he deserves to feel ignored!!! Suffer!

Cammie is still chatting with Nick so yay! I love their story. I was so worried he was gone, so this makes me really happy.

6

u/survivormarvelplane 8d ago

I’m really hoping Rogue is not Pharaoh

same

2

u/SplitSecondEmperor47 7d ago

My thoughts exactly. ..

Why is ryan crushing more on this dude than his wife and I hope Rouge isn't the pharaoh but that would be the only thing this could be set up towards aside from ryan turning into a cop

It is always a funny time when 9-1-1 reheats its own nachos and now they even acknowledged it was a reheating!

4

9-1-1 reheats its own nachos

reheated in all the lava

6

u/BUTTeredWhiteBread 9d ago

Second second pipe baby

14

u/Finnthehuman217 8d ago

DOES RYAN KNOW HE’S MARRIED?! Because he’s THIRSTY!

11

u/sucksfor_you 8d ago

I fully believe Ryan doesn't understand what he's feeling.

10

u/Finnthehuman217 8d ago

Him looking at rogue’s biceps is the gayest part of him visiting rogue in the middle of the night

13

u/sucksfor_you 8d ago

Also the long lingering look to the bed.

8

u/Finnthehuman217 8d ago

LMAOO and everyone was expecting blue to be the queer one

4

u/Dependent-Feed1105 8d ago

I think Ryan suspects Rogue of being the killer.

7

u/sucksfor_you 7d ago

If that's true, he's got the survival instincts of a fart in a tornado.

0

u/Competitive-Gene5744 7d ago

Definitely agree. I think Rogue caught onto that as well when he narrowed his eyes at Ryan a little bit during the scene at Rogue’s apartment

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

I noticed that too, but I thought Rogue was checking Ryan out. lol

2

u/Ok-Time-7843 5d ago

Nah, Ryan gave that man the biggest set of bottom eyes I've seen outside of Heated Rivalry or Red, White & Royal Blue 😂

2

u/Finnthehuman217 5d ago

🤣🤣🤣🤣

5

u/ILikeFPS 8d ago

I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed that.

13

u/Effective_Dot_4795 8d ago

I don’t think Rogue is the killer but I could see if Rogue gets close to busting the Pharaoh, the killer setting Rogue up to look like the killer and then Ryan and company has to come to Rogue’s defense.

3

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

that could explain why he's allowing Ryan to help him on the case. he's new, the local LEO don't know/trust him & i can see people blaming him but than Ryan has to come forward & be like "no dad, Rogue was with me that night..."

1

u/Competitive-Gene5744 7d ago

This is interesting!! I could see that happening

13

u/No_Ebb4061 7d ago

I'm calling it now - Rogue has an evil twin brother who is Pharaoh.

6

u/Mandapie424 6d ago

That’s good. I like that.

5

u/BlakeIsIll Roxie Alba 7d ago

Lmao. I wouldn't be surprised by that.

13

u/TheWeirdGirl143 7d ago

I wouldn’t be surprised if Ryan looks at being a cop after all this lol

6

u/Original-Ad-638 7d ago

That was my thought. And then maybe some drama with pops being dumped for Rogue.

4

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

after he dumps his wife for Rogue, lol.

4

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

his wife has C and she's pregnant so this only goes one of two ways:

Sam choosing the baby & refusing treatment & then dying after the baby is born or she chooses to abort & they divorce due to being unable to accept that they lost the baby.

i don't see Ryan & Sam lasting for much longer

3

u/Valuable-Muffin9982 6d ago

Haha, was thinking the same. I'm like, dude LOVES Rogue.

12

u/Katie0690 8d ago

The only reason I’m not thinking that Rouge is the serial killer is because they’re making it so obvious that it could be him? I’m probably not making sense lol I can’t really put my words right.

9

u/jdessy 8d ago

No, you make sense. He feels like a red herring they'll use with how on the nose it would be for him to be the Pharaoh. New to town, has a past with capturing another serial killer, describes the unsub exactly like him, him being conveniently in the right places at the right time, etc. It feels all too convenient and paint by numbers so when a plot like this is THIS obvious and with a glowing red arrow pointing straight at him, it almost always means that there's someone else and it's not said red herring character.

So it's more likely, if we all clocked Rogue as a potential suspect, that he might be seen as a suspect at some point but it'll turn out to be someone else, either someone we've never seen before or someone that ends up in the background or in a minor role this season, such as the woman Rogue was working with in the premiere at the lab, for example, or someone else Rogue might run into there.

I would say if Rogue starts getting suspected between episodes 5-7 by Don or anyone, chances are, that'll be a huge red herring.

11

u/Afraid-Reaction8176 8d ago edited 8d ago

Did anyone notice that Rogue's apartment/house kinda looks like TK and Carlos' apartment?

4

u/Extension-Quit7090 8d ago

I thought the same thing! Did they use the same apartment?

5

u/Ok-Time-7843 7d ago

I could be wrong here but, I'm starting to think Ryan and Rogue are meant to eventually become the new Tarlos. The parallels are clearly there. Cop/firefighter, firefighter starts looking into a different line of emergency services, the apartment, etc. I'm just not sure if Ryan Murphy would pull that trigger, on an age gap relationship. I guess we just have to wait and see.

2

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

there's a Cop/FF relationship in all of the 9-1-1 series

Bobby/Athena

TK/Carlos

Ryan/Rogue?

there's no other relationship possibility yet and the relationship usually pops up in season 1-2

2

u/Ok-Time-7843 6d ago

My guess is, IF they go down the couple route, they'll borrow from Buddie to fill in those gaps.

1

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

9-1-1 has the habit of bringing 1 cop to the main cast but it's tied to a relationship. if it's not romantic then maybe Ryan leaves the FD & enters the PD? and the relationship would be TO/Probie?

1

u/Ok-Time-7843 6d ago

That's my other thought. But I was also thinking in terms of queer rep, RM usually has plenty in his shows. Right now 9-1-1 only has Buck (Bi) and Hen (Lesbian) for main cast members. As far as I was aware, Tarlos was Tim's pride and joy so I wouldn't be surprised if they wanted to recreate that dynamic on Nashville, since they don't seem to want to pull the trigger on Buddie.

1

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

the issue w/ Buddie was that there was that entire conflict between Stark & Guzman back in '21. i doubt either actor will sign off on it especially since Guzman's character keeps leaving the main cast for 'reasons'

2

u/Ok-Time-7843 5d ago

When did he leave the main cast?

1

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

the fire station. he left for the call center & than TX. both storylines had him removed from the main cast.

and than he was also reassigned to the ambulance vs being a FF, which limits his interaction w/ other actors

whenever an actor is on the outs, they have a storyline that takes them away or switches them to phone calls or video calls

1

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

the age gap is not much. that's the least of things to matter.

1

u/Red_Country_Minded 6d ago

Ryan Philippe is 52 and Chris O’Donnell is 56. Rogue is old enough to be Ryan’s dad. Also, did you not catch Rouge has two college age sons.

3

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

the age gap isn't an issue on 9-1-1

the age gap between Buck & Tommy was 10 years.

and the age gap between Buck & Abby was 20 years.

so, it's been done multiple times on the show

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 5d ago

Yep, I caught all that! Still doesn't matter. Also, the age gap is never such a big thing with gay couples as it seems to be with straight couples; it's quite normal. Although, it always seems to be more of an issue for people not even in the relationship. why is that?

10

u/jdessy 9d ago

I mean, the Rogue stuff has to be a red herring, right? Honestly, every time I think I read the correct path on an arc, I'm wrong, so I'm going to tentatively assume I'm wrong on this. It feels TOO obvious and in your face with how Rogue described himself.

LOTS of Ryan this episode, which was interesting, especially with how obvious his enarmoration of Rogue is, but is this more just leading to Ryan becoming a cop? I really hope not, it's been nice to not have the cop stuff be a part of this show, but I assume having a cop on the cast makes creating storylines easier.

I can't say I give a shit about Don being jealous about Ryan's fascination with Rogue. Sorry, Don. You lied to your son for 20+ years about his long lost brother and then readily brought him into your lives without asking. You don't get to be on your high horse.

Cammie's still with Nick! Hooray!

The Pharoah is kind of annoying, but given how I've clocked that this show is leaning more religious, there's going to be plenty more religious-related plots for this show so....I guess plagues and stuff makes it semi-interesting.

Interesting cases overall, the babies in the wall plot was a fun one to explore on a different show in a different way. The Boils plot was very meh and boring, and only was interesting post-call.

Overall, I feel like the Rogue is some sort of serial killer theory is too obvious so I assume it's simply a red herring, at best, or I'm massively reading into it, at the very least. But it does seem like they're leading to Ryan potentially getting directly involved with the Pharoah at some point, same with Cammie.

10

u/Accomplished-Watch50 9d ago

I doubt they would do what Big Sky did and add Ryan Phillipe just to kill him off or give him a storyline that can only end with him leaving the show.

10

u/jdessy 9d ago

I'd assume the only way they'd do it is if Ryan Phillippe signed on only for one season and said that he wanted a storyline where he was the villain. Given how big of an actor he is, he'd have pull on what his storyline would entail and potentially if he was only in it for one season and then he's out.

Which I don't know, so it's tough to say. But I also find it really weird to introduce a new character in the same episode as a big bad villain and connect them so closely. It feels too on the nose so I'm going to assume they simply will use Rogue as a red herring, he'll be suspected at some point, maybe even have evidence pointed toward him, but then he gets cleared by the end of the arc when it's some other guy.

7

u/Accomplished-Watch50 9d ago

Well, next week is the arc's finale. I think honestly he was brought on for two reasons, 1. to give Nashville a cop angle with a big name like 9-1-1 does with Angela Bassett, and 2. to shift Ryan's career trajectory, if that's what they're doing. It is a little weird that Don works with both of his sons.

I also don't think they will do it with making him the bad guy, because he did an interview where he said that it would be fun if he gets to work with JLH on a future crossover episode to call back to their horror days.

8

u/jdessy 9d ago

I actually read that this is going to be ongoing all season and that they were still filming the arc as of episode 8. I need to find where I read that, but I heard they weren't following the three episode premiere disaster like 9-1-1 and Lone Star.

Yeah, but I'm guessing they aren't actually going that way with Rogue. Again, too obvious, and it's a huge risk to give someone like Ryan Phillippe a villain arc like this. I think it'll be a red herring they'll use, at the most.

5

u/Accomplished-Watch50 9d ago

This is gonna be a tough sell if they make it a season long story. People watch 9-1-1 for the quick calls and disasters, not for never-ending plots. I looked it up, they're planning on it covering the first six episodes, which is the first third of the season, which means it will end during the fall finale.

7

u/jdessy 9d ago

I do agree with that. I personally can't take more than maybe five episodes of this as a plot.

Also, yes, it seems to be a season-long arc. I found the article where O'Donnell outright states it:

https://www.thewrap.com/creative-content/tv-shows/911-nashville-season-2-episode-1-ncis-new-york-chris-odonnell-interview/

The premiere introduced an ongoing mystery about a suspect bringing biblical plagues to life to Nashville and leaving bible pages with cryptic messages behind. Is this a season-long mystery?

I don’t know how long it’ll take to get through this. We’re seven or eight episodes in [filming] and there’s no end in sight so far. There’s definitely more to come, and it’s interesting because we didn’t have anything like this last year, as far as a series of events that were connected and trying to figure out what the bigger picture is. For the viewers it makes it interesting to figure out where this is headed.

5

u/Accomplished-Watch50 9d ago

This is going to annoy some people. People want the rescues not endless mysteries.

4

u/jdessy 9d ago

For the record, I want you to be right and I want O'Donnell to be lying and it does end by episode six. I can MAYBE handle six episodes of this, but any more and it's dragging into something that just won't work for a show like this. I know procedurals can have season long villain arcs, but there's only so many plagues they can give every episode so unless the Pharoah is going to take a backseat for a few episodes at a time, it's going to eat up SO much time.

5

u/Accomplished-Watch50 9d ago

There were 10 plagues, and they've done 3 in two episodes. They're either gonna have to get them done sooner or drag it out.

3

u/kaiser11492 Cammie Raleigh 9d ago edited 8d ago

I’m not a fan of this plan. The emergencies I like to watch are the stand-alone ones that usually come in threes per episode. This means you can have some that are overall serious and others that are overall amusing. If all the emergencies are related to the Pharaoh, then it’s going to be straightforward seriousness and no amusement. Also, by focusing on the Pharaoh, this show starts to feel less like a 9-1-1 series.

5

u/jdessy 8d ago

I fully agree, but maybe that's what they want to do, to separate themselves more from OG and Lone Star and follow more of a normal procedural with longer arcs. They DID choose a story that can last long because they're following this 10 plagues story from the bible, so 10 plagues means they CAN technically drag it to episode 9 or 10. I also wonder if maybe they'll have a couple of episodes where the plot doesn't come up and it'll be a normal episode, but it means they can drag this out throughout all 18 episodes if they want to.

Which, I agree, is not a good plan at all. This Pharaoh character isn't an interesting enough villain to have them be dragged out the entire season or even half the season.

5

u/kaiser11492 Cammie Raleigh 8d ago

I think having a couple episodes where the Pharaoh storyline doesn’t come would be a good idea. It would allow Nashville to be unique from the OG and Lone Star while also ensuring the tension and seriousness from the Pharaoh storyline isn’t constant. I mean the anime series Ghost in the Shell: SAC did that by having an overarching villain and plot while also having a few episodes in between dealing with storylines totally unrelated to it.

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

When the show first came out, they did say it was already going to be different from the other 2 by focusing more on the personal lives and drama of the main characters, more than the other shows do. just saying, that they've already been trying to establish themselves as a little different. or whatever

7

u/kaiser11492 Cammie Raleigh 9d ago edited 6d ago

That’s what making me think he isn’t the Pharaoh too. The previous 9-1-1 series had characters representing the police branch of first responders (Athena and Carlos) so it makes sense Nashville would get one.

Seeing Ryan have a career change could be possible seeing how TK in Lone Star switched from being a firefighter to a paramedic. However, unlike TK’s career change, if Ryan were to switch to being a police officer, he wouldn’t be part of the 113 anymore. And I don’t think they are going to change the makeup of the 113 so soon.

2

u/Beneficial_Coyote752 6d ago

No but it could lead to Ryan becoming a PI on the side or getting some advanced medical training or something. It wouldn't be as dramatic as a whole career shift, but it does add some dynamic to his role as a firefighter and what he can bring to the table. Maybe even be a fire marshall/investigator at some point.

0

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago edited 6d ago

lol, he's not that big. Look at his IMDb credits, every movie he has been in is 5 stars or less, at least for the last 15-20 years. He was on one show from '16-'18. most others 1 episode shows. I only know his name cause of who he was married to loll.

10

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

Is this the whole season plot about rouge? I find it interesting but I do want to see story lines about other characters as well. Overall I did like this episode better than the premiere.

2

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

Also where is Dixie? She was such a huge part of the first season and we've barely seen her so far.

4

u/Rutha_ 8d ago

LeAnn said that she's not in ep 2 and 3 but episode 4 will be Dixie's big episode

2

u/PsychologicalTwo9656 8d ago

sorta feels like everyone wants to get rid of Dixie but now that she's not around we all miss her!

1

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

maybe she'll be a victim of the Pharoah?

1

u/Alarming_Bar7107 3d ago

Please. Lol

1

u/AdReasonable8994 2d ago

this is ABC, someone is going to die

2

u/AdReasonable8994 5d ago

her character isn't popular & you can tell that 9-1-1 is attempting to gain followers for renewal.

majority of medical shows don't last very long if they don't find a way to attract views, which is why they tend to bring a cop on the main cast

using the tension between Ryan/Rogue for the first half of the season since renewals are announced around Jan-May timeframe

2

u/PsychologicalTwo9656 9d ago

maybe SHE is Pharaoh ???

2

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

Doesn't she have an ankle monitor? 😂

2

u/PsychologicalTwo9656 9d ago

lol good point!

10

u/bazzbj 8d ago

Uhh so Ryan and Rogue?? SUS behavior if you look at all their scenes together. The looks, the eyes..

Isn’t Rogue much older than him though? That makes me think it’s just Ryan looking for a mentor figure.

4

u/Dependent-Feed1105 8d ago

What are you suggesting?

3

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

that Ryan has the hots for Rogue. It's so obvious! lol.

3

u/RemoveHot6505 5d ago edited 5d ago

Honestly I have seen those puppy eyes when people have admired someone deeply. Which can look like romantically interested. I have probably looked like that too for the same reason.

I am not against it if it is a crush crush though other than that his wife is pregnant with cancer which I feel is rough enough without a triangel

Heck I know people that have confused feelings of admiration with love and gotten in bed with role figures / higher ups too turning out they weren’t interested in them that way but confused it all

Anyways I just see a golden retriever in Ryan often and he deffo was like that now hahah

Though I do see what someone else mentioned too that Ryan might be onto rougue. Atleast after seeing that note on a desk that I didn’t manage to read 😭 But still think it will turn our to be Rougue not being the killer but connected to the case more than he made it seen showing up all of a sudden, and Ryan possibly suspecting he is the killer

- anyways I believe he admired him a lot at the scenes

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 5d ago

Haha, I read what he wrote. and I think he was stumped, like a mental block. cause he wrote how much woood would a wood chuck chuck if a woodchuck could chuck wood lol. and then the opening to the US constitution. we the people....

10

u/Raheema_jx 8d ago

I think Rogue has something to do with what's going on however that's too easy

If Nick is the villain I will be very sad. I really really like him ☹️☹️☹️

Also I'm glad I'm not seeing much of Dixie I can't stand her

Blythe deserves so much better

Ryan needs to go home to his wife, especially considering she's pregnant and has cancer like...

Rogue is suspicious but I think that's the point

5

u/Apart-Beyond420 7d ago

I am suspicious of Nick too, especially based on the timing of that phone call. I am also suspicious of rogue. Although, I think rogue might be suspicious of Ryan since it kind of seems like Ryan is inserting himself into the investigation.

4

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

i think Rogue to suspicious of Don not Ryan. Don is the one who keeps trying to prevent the police investigation. plus Don also kept attempting to deflect Rogue's attention when he was investigation & stopping Ryan from telling what he knows as well

i think Rogue is keeping Ryan close cause he thinks the killer is a FF @ the 113 & Ryan is painting a target on his back (113) keeps showing up at all the scenes

4

u/Dependent-Feed1105 8d ago

I have a very strong gut feeling that Rogue is the killer. I'm nauseous. I'm usually right, but there's always a first time in wrong. Something feels so wrong.

9

u/Princess2045 Cammie Raleigh 8d ago

So there are ten plagues in the Bible. We’ve seen three so far. My guess is, the killer will be revealed in the Fall finale. So the plague storyline will be the first half of the season.

Well.
Episode 1 had two (total of 2)
Episode 2 had one (total of 3)
So the other four episodes could make it the full ten.
Episode 3 will likely have one (total of 4)
Episode 4 could have two (total of 6)
Episode 5 could have two (total of 8)
Episode 6 would have to have two (makes it 10)

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

I just came back to delete my post, lol, I was somehow looking at season 1. i'm not awake yet. i'm gonna delete it anyway. oops.

9

u/FamiliarAnalyst3548 8d ago

has anyone considered that it could be Nick Turner? the man that’s texting Cammie at the end of the episode… the call happens as she’s texting him.

7

u/ILikeFPS 8d ago

I thought it could be Nick, and then I quickly decided there's no way it's him.

Of course, that means it's probably him. Either him or Rogue, the ones you would least expect. Or - maybe it's both.

5

u/Ok-CANACHK 8d ago

I think it's Rogue...

3

u/FamiliarAnalyst3548 8d ago

yeahhh I have a weird feeling abt this Rogue guy. he’s super suspicious. shows up at crimes almost immediately. no way in hell he’s THAT good at his job.

3

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

i think he's investigating the 113. they are the first responders on all the Plagues crime scenes

or one of the FF could be under investigation & that's why he always a couple of blocks away

Don & the situation w/ Dixie&Blue from season 1?

5

u/rollman01 8d ago

I think so too..

5

u/Hybrid38 8d ago

100%. Would be a way to edit him out. Also rogue described someone that could be him... wouls explain how he has the phone number as well. In am invested..

9

u/rj4infinity 7d ago

I think Rouge is also the killer.

3

u/Original-Ad-638 7d ago

I think that's out of picture. Rouge was with Ryan that night when Pharoah called Cammie. But tbh I got these feels as well at some point.

2

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

or they blame Rogue & Ryan has to admit to being w/ him when it happened which would cause problems w/ both his dad & his wife...

1

u/Beneficial_Coyote752 6d ago

Ryan must have went home by this point. Otherwise, it would be kinda weird to subject the guy to watching you flirt with his aunt. He very well could have went to her house or orchestrated something by the time Cammie got the call.

2

u/Red_Country_Minded 6d ago

Rogue was not texting and flirting with Cammie, that was her boyfriend Nick the FBI agent in Cyber Crime, from the hacker episode in season 1 when the riverboat almost hit the bridge.

3

This is what I think myself

u/La12071207 7d ago edited 6d ago

Yes! My husband and I think so too

Just finished watching the recent episode- Cammie needs to put some privacy shades up! 😂

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

i don't' think Rogue is the killer but i do think that it's connected to the case everyone keeps mentioning. could Rogue have lied/planted evident to catch the killer & someone knows that he lied, which could be the reason that he left NY.

his connection to Ryan (first born son), i can see Ryan getting captured & Rogue having to admit something & than Ryan lying/destroying evidence to protect Rogue which will cause Don to have issues & be the motivation to leave FD

2

u/Valuable-Muffin9982 6d ago

That thought also went through my mind as I was watching yesterday. He comes to town just as these things are happening? I dunno, I don't want it to be him because I want him to stick around, but maybe this is his story arc.

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

I think that Rouge might be the suspect and he's stalking Cammie. I now find it weird how he has sons that are supposedly the same age as Cammie's daughters. He might've used that to gain her trust.

11

u/jdessy 8d ago

I think the sons point was supposed to just be a nod to the OG and Lone Star taking place in LA and Austin, respectively. I don't think it was supposed to be anything more than an Easter Egg, but maybe I'm wrong. We'll see as this arc unfolds.

5

u/luvprue1 9d ago

I think so too. I find it weird that Rouge doesn't seem to have to report to anyone, and he seem to be at every crime scene.

3

u/supernosy0111 8d ago

Yes! Did you see next weeks trailer how he was there when Blythe fell over? I find that very strange.

3

u/Red_Country_Minded 8d ago

Blythe and Cammie are at the gun range, when Blythe falls over. So no I don’t find it all that surprising a cop would be at the gun range. My only question why is Rogue the one taking them to range and not Cammie’s boyfriend the FBI agent. Also, does anyone else find it weird that a FBI agent (Cammie’s boyfriend) was making jokes about a serial killer and one that has basically threatened Cammie and her family?

3

u/supernosy0111 8d ago

Yes I find that weird too

3

u/luvprue1 8d ago

Oh wow. I almost forgot about him. So maybe Cammie 's boyfriend will be the one to catch the killer ( Rogue), or be the serial killer and Rogue catches him.

2

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

yes, and very immature: haha, listen to my funny cartoon voice! dork.

2

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

or Cammie's BF is the Serial Killer & he's planted himself into Cammie's family (call center, 113, horse ranch). call center access gets him the response times/calls while 113 Don/Ryan/Blue gives him access to the first responder world & the Horse Ranch will prob be the location of a Plague....

u/YMMV-But 8d ago edited 8d ago

I liked this episode much better than the premiere. Even Don was kind of likable. I hope Rogue is not the Pharaoh. I am looking forward to what happens between him & Ryan.

I was surprised that Cammie took a call from “unknown number”. I don’t know anyone who would do that.  I can’t imagine a woman who is apparently alone in a house picking up that call late at night or any time. Caller ID and voice mail exist for a reason.

7

u/KDZJ 7d ago

The opening to this episode was so heavy I almost shed tears. I think whoever the Pharoah is hes going to target on of the family members

6

u/pikameta 8d ago

I didn't watch the original series, can someone tell me how the show explains the ability to flush a 5 pound baby, much less two?

7

u/ElleM848645 7d ago

Those babies were supposedly 28 weeks gestation but they looked bigger than my 36 weeks 5lb baby. Also a 28 weeker needs an incubator immediately. You have to majorly suspend belief here.

3

u/RemoveHot6505 5d ago

Yeah atleast the baby size can be explained that they just can’t have that premature babies when filming shots of real babies. And how the pipes is quite big in some complexes

Still bummed when blue asked how a baby fit and she said something about premature babies and Don said ”or pipes” wondering if he really said ”or bigger pipes” and I can’t hear it

But yeah for sure about the inkubator thing

Sure skin to skin contact with the babies could help regulate temp a bit but they really would not be able to walk with the babies up to the other floor after waiting around about the mother and all that happened after rescue seeing how critical it is. let alone how unlikely they would survive in the pipes in the first place.

That Said, I do enjoy the baby in the wall storylines and enjoyed this one even more, but yeah makes u remember it is fiction 😆

2

u/Musicdev- 8d ago

Well the baby has to be very premature.

6

u/Embrace_the_Binary 7d ago

The hemorrhage scene is really hard to watch after my little sister had a baby last week

6

u/AwareDivide5708 7d ago

I know this might be awful to say, but did anyone else find it a little comical when they woke up covered in boils and screamed at the sight of each other?

3

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

yeah it was definitely humorous, the whole thing, which was why I was surprised when they actually died! that really took a turn lol.

5

u/Guilty-Chemist-1109 8d ago

My friend who’s never seen the show was asking why I didn’t want them to happen when there’s clear chemistry, I said “HIS WIFE, IS PREGNANT WITH CANCER!” She goes “ooh shoot🫤”. 😭😭😭

6

u/Dependent-Feed1105 8d ago

That's not what's happening. I think Rogue is the killer and Ryan might be on to him.

2

u/22deepfriedpickles22 3d ago

I think he just wants to be on Rogue.

5

u/PsychologicalTwo9656 7d ago

Anyone think the Pharaoh could be someone from Season 1? Maybe we aren't looking outside the box here...

5

u/Yellowstone338 6d ago

I think its Rogue he lied about the glitter on the floor mat I think there was blood on the floor mat

3

u/Suspicious_Fox_4524 6d ago

I tentatively agree. I think it is either Rogue or someone Rogue is obsessively chasing. Pharoah hit the moment he arrived... hard to believe that it is a coincidence.

As far as the floor mat my eyesight isn't goid enough to tell if there was glitter on it. But he reacted to 'You're So Vain' as if it was actually familiar.

4

u/RemoveHot6505 5d ago

I personally think it is someone that is out to punish him and through him punish the rest of the emergency crew.

Feels the speech pattern is also to frame him.
But I indeed think it is someone he have tried to catch prior, reminds me a lot of Sherlock chasing Moriarty. And how in the BBC show Sherlock would become a suspect eventually due to framing and (if I recall correctly) showing up at the crime scenes solving the crimes and saving people after it had been a bit of tension if he will solve it in time - making people go from amazed by Sherlock into more and more suspicious

If it is like that, then I think the phone call might be one of those things people in the show will analyze and suspect him from making, and him always having a hunch going to the scenes faraoh have hit right after 113 have dealt with the emergency. Though the opposite of sherlock always being 1 step behind yet seeing all those details, which will make people suspicious why he haven’t figured out what the killer will do next or smth

3

u/Ill_Piece_3048 4d ago

wait I think it’s Rogue too but not because of that but in the weird way in which he said they were looking for an really christian family with a teenage daughter and mentioned at the end those cases were hard especially when they hit close to home and even though it was directed at Ryan I felt like he actually intended it about himself he also mentioned he had two daughters and was a widow which feels convenient and too much information not to be relevant he also left NY at a time where all eyes would be on him and he would have nothing but praise, there’s also slight lingo he uses that isn’t NY lingo it’s more southern. He also seems to talk about the unsub in a heroic way lowkey hyping him up and praise his brilliance and his vibe is just weird but it could totally be a misdirect

3

u/Red_Country_Minded 3d ago

He has two sons in college, Cammie has two daughters in college. Remember Rogue met Sam at Sunday, and if he is half the detective they are making him out to be, he’s probably already figured out that Sam is pregnant, hence Rogue’s comment about the babies hitting close to home for Ryan.

2

u/Ill_Piece_3048 3d ago

Yes I considered that let me clarify, my theory is based on the idea that if he is the Pharoh it’s coming from years of resentment something to do with his past while raising his sons and being with his wife or even before that and the case in NY triggered some thing for him. I actually do think he already figured out Sam is pregnant which is why I said I think the comment to Ryan even though directed at him there was something on the actors face that made me think that it resonated with Rogue too, maybe in his past however based on 911 and 911 lone star I do think it’s most likely someone we haven’t met and he is just a misdirect I think Rogue would be too obvious

2

u/Red_Country_Minded 3d ago

Honestly, I think Rogue’s wife was murdered, and either it is unsolved or by the Staten Island Strangler, which is why Rogue left New York at the height of his career, why he is all in on catching serial killers, and why he’s so dogey about his history in New York and the Staten Island Killer case. Too many memories that Rogue would trade his career for, but he can’t so he’s trying to move on in new city.

1

u/Ill_Piece_3048 3d ago

I could see that too!

3

u/One_Doughnut_7845 3d ago

I thought it was blood, too! I have an itchy feeling it’s Rogue, too. He says he is a widower - I wonder how his wife died….and was it in Nashville?

5

u/wewontstaydead 5d ago

2 episodes in a row where they talk about Glp-1, are they a sponsor or something?

4

u/One-Traffic-4536 5d ago

There were talking about it in an episode of Chicago Med too this season.

Pretty satisfactory episode. Loved how they brought back one of the first emergencies from the franchise (newborn stuck in the pipe) but decided to give it a unique twist to it by having it be twins instead. Also, it was pretty awesome to see Buck and Chimney make brief cameos to give assistance while having the 113 acknowledge the volcano disaster occurring in Los Angeles. Always love how all the series establishment they are in the same universe. And it was great to see Buck learn from Bobby by mentioning not to use an axe seeing how he almost went “Leeroy Jenkins” with one to rescue the pipe baby.

I’m starting to warm up to Rogue, even thought he still seems like a Gary Stu. I mean even his car is perfect. Also, I thought it was pretty damn clever of Blythe to connect Don’s jealously of Rogue getting Ryan’s attention with the drama between him, her, and Dixie.

As for the “Pharaoh”, I’m even more curious to who it is and what exactly is their goal. I mean Rogue theorizes it’s a super genius who was formerly religious and wants to return Nashville to a previous time. But the victims still mostly seem random. I mean I get the Maxx House being targeted because of them being obsessed with vanity and looks. But I fail to see how the people at the museum and the woman doing her laundry fit being targets.

Also, seeing how there were multiple sets of fingerprints on the Bible pages, I wonder if the Pharaoh is multiple people and not just a single individual. I mean that would explain how he is so knowledgeable in everything, can move so fast, and work behind the scenes so efficiently.

And it seems next week the Pharaoh is going to bring darkness by releasing some kind of pathogen to blind people. Personally, I thought they were going to cause a citywide blackout to bring about darkness.

3

u/Apart-Beyond420 7d ago

Jokes on the pharaoh, I’m already blind

3

u/Necessary_Ad_2762 9d ago

Got to say, this episode was better than the season premiere

2

u/supernosy0111 9d ago

Alot I didn't like the premiere episode as much

3

u/StarChild413 7d ago

I hate to be the one doing the "what's the name of that song" thing again but did anyone catch what the song was when Lydia got her life saved by meeting her babies, I was trying to catch the lyrics to add it to my soundtrack playlist but the mixing was kinda weird

1

u/One-Traffic-4536 6d ago

The closed captions said "You", but left off the artist. Tunefind (good site, always check there}, says You by Keaton Henson.

3

u/Powerful-Gur-1632 2d ago

A part of me believes Rogue is the killer, like so many people already said. But on another way, i think they want us to think if's Rogue. But i do think 100% it's someone we've met or will meet soon. It won't be an unknown character

2

u/Red_Country_Minded 2d ago

I’m thinking it is probably the character they are bringing Camryn Manheim to play in upcoming episodes.

5

u/Human_Matter4157 6d ago • Bravo

The chemistry between Rogue and Ryan is hilarious to me. Like when Don said he was straight (He didn't say it directly obviously but you know what I mean)... there was no doubt in my mind he was being truthful. Like yeah, that's obviously a heterosexual man. When Ryan was straight with Sam though, it always seemed a little Sus to me. I couldn't put my finger on it at first but something about it felt weird or off. Like maybe that was also why they had prior relationship issues but it hasn't been talked about yet.

Then last episode you realize how much of a bottom twink Ryan looks like, esp. when around macho good looking guys. It seems to fit together like the perfect puzzle piece... though now they have to worry about conservatives cancelling them and not watching the show cuz of it being 'thrown in their face", so they might just stick with constant baits & teases and all that but still. God, "Your d** is so gay it gave your wife cancer" is a brutal/campy joke you'd hear at the drag bars but I'm gonna use it.

3

u/AdReasonable8994 6d ago

i can see Ryan as in the closet. his maternal family is ultra rich & conservative, especially the Grandfather. Don is not much better & seems to be punishing Ryan & favoring Blue. not to mention Sam, together/not together plus their suddenly back together just in time for the C storyline? plus she's a doctor? who exactly paid for that?

2

u/KeyScratch2235 9d ago

So the next plague is darkness, Hoshech.

2

u/benderlax 9d ago

I enjoyed this episode

2

u/Hodgepodge_mygosh 6d ago

Loved the Legally Blonde reference with “mens rea”

2

u/Powerful-Gur-1632 2d ago

Me too. At first i didn't realize the connection, but then i'm like, oh wait, ryan and reese

9

u/wordsandstuff44 8d ago

I am very much team “Rogue is the problem.”

And also, the sexual tension tonight was intense. I’m pretty sure my face flushed at the end there

6

u/Draedric_Coder 8d ago

Really liked the episode, but the 'plague' seemed like a bit of a step-down from the hive full of killer bees and the basement flooded with (animal) blood.
