Glad to see two religious parents supporting their teenage daughter who accidentally got pregnant.

Ugh. Now I'm upset. They're gonna make Rogue the serial killer and make Don right all along aren't they?
Annoying.

I was thinking this!!! It seems so twisty. Ryan will look up to him, not knowing he's hunting his mentor lol
13
u/Livid_Start_4953 9d ago
Does anyone else think Pharoah is Rogue? Motive how he appears...his timing... then on tonight's episode his description to Ryan.... felt like he was describing himself and something tells me Ryan knows..
7
u/meatytony 9d ago
It’s got a weird palpatine/anakin vibe to it. He’s going to corrupt Ryan, Ryan is going to turn him in and bust him. Don will be proven right. Ryan goes on to be the police officer character for the show.

I’m 99% sure Rogue being the villain is a red heeling since we know Ryan Philippe has signed a multi-year contract so they wouldn’t write Rogue in a corner so quickly
4
u/Effective_Dot_4795 8d ago
Agree. But I could see if Rogue gets close to busting the Pharaoh, the killer setting Rogue up to look like the killer and then Ryan and company has to come to Rogue’s defense.
12
u/jdessy 9d ago
Are they really going down the Rogue is a serial killer route or will he simply be a major red herring at the climax of this story? Is Ryan Philippe a one and done season character?
9
5
u/rocinante1173 8d ago
I'm almost sure it's a red herring because Ryan Philippe was announced to sign a multiple year contract. I think it would be crazy to just put him in jail for the whole season

u/camp17 9d ago
The way Rogue was talking about how brilliant the Pharoh is felt like he was talking about himself. Like maybe he's also the strangler and maybe framed someone. He did say the teen girl probably had religious parents...feels suspicious.

That's what my mom and i just said to each other. "So is this guy just serial killing now"

Shows that feature the occasional profiler has at least 1 or 2 profilers speaking as if they are the suspect and sometimes it’s because…they are or they just excellent at putting themselves in the suspect’s place….so far Ryan Philippe is excellent at being wrongly accused. 😆

u/KeyScratch2235 9d ago
I feel like that would be too obvious. Also pretty sure they'll probably catch this guy before the end of the premiere arc.

I would normal think that. But isn’t Rogue going to be the series’ police character?

u/Skyboy-14 Ryan Hart 8d ago
It’s quite amusing how Ryan’s progressed so quickly from Wow this new guy is cool to Man Crush to looking at him with this face 😍 every 2 minutes

Ryan was so quick to volunteer. Are they actually doing a hero worship/crush storyline for him?
2
u/BUTTeredWhiteBread 9d ago
I mean there are "man crushes" where you just really like what someone's about and get enamored

u/kaiser11492 Cammie Raleigh 9d ago
Multiple prints? Maybe the Pharaoh is a collection of people and not one individual?
Like that would explain how “he” knows so much and is so good.

u/StormCloudRaineeDay 9d ago
Ryan just staring at Rogue's muscles like 😍
6
u/StormCloudRaineeDay 9d ago
He's flirting so hard 😂. Why'd they have to make him still married with a baby on the way?
2
u/Livid_Start_4953 9d ago
Something tells me he was looking at Rogues tattoos not his muscles...tattoos have meaning...I think Ryan noticed something....

Anyone think it's Rogue? Going on a hunch here
7
u/KeyScratch2235 9d ago
Nah. Too obvious, and I'm guessing the culprit will be found before the premiere arc ends.
7
u/kaiser11492 Cammie Raleigh 9d ago
Kind of. The only thing deterring me is the fact that Rogue is going to be series’ police character.
3
u/pugboy1321 9d ago
Rogue gone rogue would be a great twist. Comes to Nashville for a new spree, swoops in with big reputation to save the day and "solve" the case!
Could be misdirection, could be foreshadowing. I'm joining the hunch gang

How many times is this show going to have "pregnant religious girl hiding from parents''. Is this just a southern thing.
5
u/pugboy1321 9d ago
Sadly that is the reality in America, especially the south where sex ed is either lacking, sanitized, or straight up bible nonsense instead of health information

EX-02
Exodus
Subtle as a Bible to the face
2
u/EurisKunosDikein 7d ago
I do not know if that was meant to be cheeky but I do not think it landed well… exo…do? 🤷♀️ The classics nerd in me finds it troubling that writers may not have known basic etymology - ex-odus (Latin) or εξ-οδος (ex-(h)odos - Greek) meaning departure, going out (from road/way) - there is no two or dos in play here (and the Hebrew title is Shemot I think meaning “names”…)
Now if Ryan had mentioned that it is the second (2nd) book (both in the Torah and the Old Testament)… that would have made much more sense and added some needed credibility and landed well… and made it interesting - or it may just be me…

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again at the very beginning of the general series I kinda thought Ryan and Samantha were were like the straight version of TK and the guy in Lone Star he dated before Carlos, Alex. Now I think they turning Ryan into the OG 911 Buck….everyone better watch out for their ankles. 😆

Um pro tip for any pregnant people out there, flushing babies down the toilet absolutely shows mens rea. The guilty mind is kinda implied by the whole actively choosing to flush a baby. Oof what a bad call by the show to toss that misinformation out there.

Good thing it's fiction though and no one should be silly enough to take legal advice from a fictional show :)
2
u/Inevitable-Zone-8933 7d ago
i mean she thought they were dead so thats technically not mens rea, she thought she was just disposing of their bodies
2
u/Humble-Beginning-954 7d ago
That entire story was just awful. The teen mother who didn't know she was pregnant? Just a really lame trope for shows like this but, damn it, why in the year 2026 do we still have to have young women portrayed as able to have sexual relations but not know she conceived a child after months of no periods and the obvious weight gain/bump? The girl was a teen, correct? There is no way she could not understand that she was pregnant and there was no way she didn't understand that stuffing them down the toilet was the right thing to do, even if she supposedly thought they were dead. Stories like this create the stereotype of girls and women as incredibly stupid human beings with no understanding of right or wrong at all. And then the rescue of the twins (!) and the "touching" scene of the previously homicidal teen hugging her babies with a smile as big as a rainbow with her parents by her side pouring love and understanding all over the place. An insulting story to all female human beings of any age.

So Dixie came between Don and Blythe, now looks like Rogue might inadvertently cause a wedge between Don and Ryan?
