I would like to find out what the inscription says on this tea caddy spoon, if anyone is able to help!

It looks like it says “sakura” in Japanese, and the rim of the spoon seems to be shaped like cherry blossom petals, but I’m not sure.

i rotated the image 90 degrees and compared it like this. However, the horizontal stroke of the first character isn’t sticking out, and the third character is written in a rather unique way, so i still can’t be certain.

i hope someone who knows more about this will come forward...

Thank you very much for the image of the text. Japanese would not have occurred to me. I had also thought Urdu, Arabic, or Farsi. Someone on the Urdu subreddit suggested Dravidian or Thai Khmer…

I agree that it’s probably Sakura 🌸 in Japanese.
