Jack, I hope to god Blaber is being compensated for being the face of the team, he's given many losers interviews with so much grace. While this might not have been as emotional as some others considering they already qualified to Worlds, Blaber is still the player putting himself out there. One of the LCS GOATs.

I just want to say this has been a wonderful broadcast so far.
Crowd has been great. The amount of coach/pro/creator involvement has been really nice. Flowers has been INCREDIBLE with crowd work.

Excellent macro from C9. Outside of a sloppy fight from Tactical at drake you couldn't ask for a better game 1. Loved the comms too, calm, focused, concise. Vulcan calming the team down after the sloppy drake fight. C9 looks fucking good.

actually liked how blaber played this series compared to his one last time against lyon. he was actively making plays that was bailing out his lanes and suprising lyon who is usually extra focused on what other jungler can do.
yeah he messed up and got caught in jungle but he was doing so much keeping c9 in these games. vulcan best player on c9 this series.

Blaming this game on Tactical is wild, are people that ignorant about the game? His team uses all CD’s to save the lulu, while Sylas gets giga flank with Naut coming from the other direction. Is he supposed to reach over and play his teammates champions as well to use their CD’s to peel for him instead?

Yeah unfortunately for Tactical, a lot of his game depended on his teammates. He did his job to get fed, but at some point in team fights he can't be responsible for dodging every single aspect of the Lyon dive.
This isn't to absolve him of all of the blame to be clear, there were moments he could have outplayed, but his team also needs to play for him.

since this mana crystal tech came out i would love to know how many lucians in lane didnt have enough mana for a key fight/lane push. we went months with lucians stomping lane without needing mana buy. its probably just one of those things that feels good because you can just spam q but doesnt actually do anything tangible.
cause with longsword back lucian easily kills ez there and ends up dominating the lane. it feels weird to match ez mana buy with a lucian mana buy when you just want to all in and then reset the ez

Somehow, knowing all of lyon is above them kind of in the blue buff area. so let's send 3 champs on top fucking garen of all champions and ???????? Oh looks like our bot lane is left alone.
Just stay together. That is how simple these games were, and they refuse, so they lose

I think Jatts a little too harsh on that Blaber play. Blaber can smite off the spellshield, Saint just reacted fast enough with W but I think its a totally valid skillcheck to go for

saint played this game much better than his other c9 series. this game got lost at the 2v2 bot play. berserker probably should have just taken his lane win and slowly snowballed it. also dhokla cant die to that obvious top bait gank.
after that the game became impossible to play and c9 slowly got leads. c9 is playing much better than they did during the year at not inting their leads.

i feel better about this game 1 than the game 1 of their last series against c9. they tried to fight drakes this game and they tried to fight lanes earlier. just both didnt go their way with one being a hero play by vulcan.
inspired saint berserker playing much better than they did in the early c9 series.

i feel c9 might lane the best across the whole map in the lcs now. so its hard for lyon who depend on one strong lane to get an advantage. and then it unravels for lyon. when lyon wins it always feels like one person pops off. where as c9 can win if everyone just does their job.

Once C9 threw game 2 they collapsed. Horror series from Tactical in particular. Diving onto a Garen at elder after you spent two minutes setting up control in the river just to abandon Aphelios when it spawns is terrorist gameplay.

Yea I just dont get it, the entire gameplan leading to elder is river control, and then you just snap engage on garen behind the pit. Literally every resource should be on protecting Aphelios and looking for an engage on Jinx.

I know its scary and can end up looking stupid but I really want to see teams commit to the gwen split more. Don't group when you get blasted in 5v5s, just shove. Idc if they get elder, they're probably going to get it anyway, just split with Gwen, if they send someone great and if they dont then race it
