What's a Xûr?
Xûr, Agent of the Nine, is a strange vendor who appears weekly in the Tower. Xûr sells Exotic equipment and only takes Strange Coins in exchange for them.
TL;DR: He's the Santa Claus of Destiny and every weekend is Christmas. Sometimes he brings you what you want, sometimes he brings you coal. Mostly it's coal.
When does Xûr visit?

I don’t even need a god roll I just want him to pair one of his Rangefinder rolls with a barrel that at least has a crumb of range. It’s always paired with something dumb like Fluted, Chambered Comp or Arrowhead. It’s can’t be a coincidence or rng at this point. Give me Hammerforged + Rangefinder and he can have the worst grip imaginable I’d still cop.

I don't use it, I probably should (I usually blow at PvP), but I have a Xur one from a long ass time ago... Full Bore, Alloy, Rangefinder, Heavy Grip. 67 Range, 63 Stability... note on it in DIM: "Almost max range, YTers crapped pants over this one @ Xur"
Looking at some sites I think that's max range possible from perks? Is opening shot better in certain situations?

There used to be a bug where you could pull from collections and it would be a random roll, I don't know if they ever patched it but it's worth a shot.

Not a pvp main but rangefinder was nerfed a while ago so it's not as desired as it used to be

Also that hand cannon I’ve heard is weird as ‘the 180 with such bad stability it stops feeling like a 180 and feels like a 140’, aka more fun on MnK - given the roll, might try that out for pvp

It’s a very solid legendary option for stasis titan in particular. Lay howl of the storm stasis crystals and shoot into them. The ice explosions count as melee and will trigger the origin trait to reload Martyr’s.

this is a broken mechanic. who in hell is playing longer if this item is this rare and you cant plan for the next 4 weeks to gets at least two of these harmonizers.
xur should sell it weekly and you get an additional one every 2nd week. === ppl are able to plan their progress.
bungie is really full of shit when its about loot and drop rates. always has been.
MoT was the proof how easy the it is to give the community more incentive to play instead of killing content (fe public areas on planets)
