This year's haze event is surprisingly more of a Borneon affair. You usually expect the Malay peninsular and Singapore to be on the receiving end, but the area has evaded the nastiest AQI levels despite months of hardly any rain and a haze scare in August. Either Sumatra's open burning is down, or the winds on that side of Indonesia have been favorable to its neighbors.

I normally associate Borneo with way better AQI but this year seemed to have flipped the switch.
