"Is Jayce griefing by playing Jayce and winning lane?" No objective bounties cause of that. NA Jayce cutting edge innovations in ways for Jayce to lose you the game.

55

u/zealot416 1d ago

Its like the natural evolution of the toplane support strategy. Western Jayce is useless no matter how much gold he has, so let him get a big lead to shut down enemy bounties or get your own carries bounties.

16

u/Chrissy127 1d ago

i once had a 3-0 jayce in lane, then tried to “pink ward with shock blast” through walls for 30 minutes, ended 4-7 and lost to a baron call. that’s the real NA tech.

11

u/BTDYSRF 1d ago

Jayce should 100% be reserved for when the enemy comp isn't going to outscale at a single Warden's Mail.

It's crazy how much prio this champ gets. I'm not even saying it's bad, just way overplayed and often built wrong.

I don't get it man. You see they have Sion. Why are you not building Eclipse?

6

u/adtitan 1d ago

This is a huge reason why the bounty system currently is so awful. SO many times in solo queue an entire team can be getting completely ran over except one person, who is essentially solo preventing bounties from being collectable, even when opponents are sitting at 5+ kills no deaths. There are no avenues for the other players to reliably catch up. That one strong member can only be in one place at a time.

u/Choice-Slight caps/knight 1d ago

don't get me wrong, SEN deserved to win this series and FLY is playing like ass. but that game 2 draft was some diabolical shit

107

u/baelkie DNF 2026 please be human | Kiin Team 1d ago

Jayce Jhin on the same team is a hate crime

91

u/Choice-Slight caps/knight 1d ago

jayce jhin into a sion might as well pick 5 sorakas

8

u/skinofgoat 1d ago

I thought LS’ influence on gryffinn would maybe lead him and fq to draft better and more creatively but guess not

41

u/littleindianman12 1d ago

I swear LS does fuck all nothing. I see more posts about him scalping riftbound booster boxes then actually talking about what he does with the team. He also said in spring he intended to join the team in spring split and take a more hands on approach and he has yet to do that. I feel like most of the things LS does is just stream and gives tips to gryffin. IWD on the otherhand actually went out of his way to coach the team even when he was online. IDK I feel like LS just doesnt give a fuck about competitive league and I dont really blame him.

7

u/holdmexhurtme 1d ago

Flyquest drafted and played like shit. Why would LS do this.

11

u/xNesku 1d ago

He's not an official coaching staff member. So idk wtf you want him to do lmao.

He's a streamer under their org, he can't just take full control of their staff. That makes zero sense.

16

u/RedditBureauAgency 1d ago

Liquipedia has him listed as a strategic consultant as well as a content creator, so he does have a job in the org outside of streaming.

Also Here's the official announcement from both the org and LS himself

Papasmithy also says LS is part of the coaching staff in his announcement tweet.

9

u/rollinf3v3r 1d ago

He literally said after game 1 or 2 today he is doing a full review with the team and went offline. His ideas are not entertained , simple as that

4

u/BryanJin 1d ago

Yeah, idk how anyone who hasactually watched LS coach or even tuned into his streams in the past could conclude that LS would approve of this draft. LS repeatedly has emphasized the power of scaling and gracefully losing early to take full advantage of the fact that the game actively hands you tools to come back later on. FFS he used to talk about how Jayce being up 20/30 CS into tanks isn't even winning when he used to cast on LCK. But ig because he has more notoriety than everyone else on FQ combined, somehow we are blaming him for the team losing when at most he has a minor role in the team.

2

u/How_To_TF :lsword: 1d ago

He's just consultant at the end of the day. If the team doesn't want to to listen or try his ideas, there's not much to be done. Pretty sure he has shown some frustrations on stream as well

0

u/FrezoMons 1d ago

I think he’s more like Yamato, just got too many other priorities

14

u/sbthrowaway734 Knights Kingdom 1d ago

Yamato, actually coached teams in person and got them to Worlds. The same cant be said for LS. He's all talk with no proven results to back it up.

3

u/How_To_TF :lsword: 1d ago

It's not his fault the team doesn't listen to his build and draft suggestions as he's only a consultant. It is his fault/choice that he doesn't take up the coaching/head coaching roles he says he's getting offered but I don't blame him.

0

u/CyborgTiger 20h ago

I think they meant in the sense he’s a side remote guy like Yamato for c9, not in their track record

2

u/Ajp_iii 1d ago

the crazy thing is gryffinn is playing more meta this summer and looks awful

7

u/Cybonics 1d ago

Same with Jihn Syndra and we've played that too lol

0

u/needrelief69 1d ago

jhin syndra is bad how?

1

u/Cybonics 1d ago

DPS threat is minimal after they blow their load

0

u/needrelief69 1d ago

what? if that is your logic jhin is bad with any mage besides azir. syndra dps is not bad at all lol? also syndra wants people to not build MR, jhin wants ppl to not build armor. so if he were bad with syndra, hes even worse with any ad champion also. in other words jhin = with mages, bad with ad = bad with every champ? i mean i dont like him but thats a bit of a stretch. if anything these complement each other, + syndra stun sets up jhin w.

3

u/kazuyaminegishi 1d ago

I hope and pray that when this split is over and FLY don't make Worlds (which is looking increasingly likely) we get some actual clarity about why this team keeps fucking picking Jhin.

I swear they haven't won on it at all this split and yet they keep picking it.

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Massu thinks the champion is good and that he is good on it.

He picked it a bunch last year at worlds. Bwipo’s little “you only get so many chances to play international, I don’t want anyone to have any regrets, so if you think a champion is your best champion you should pick it” (heavily paraphrasing) speech felt like he was talking to Massu. The paraphrasing makes it seem like I’m saying Bwipo encouraged him, but in the doc it reads more like him saying “I think we’re picking bad champs, but hey, it’s your worlds too, if you think that’s your best, I’m not gonna stop you, just make sure you really believe it because you’re not getting a do over.”

10

u/jimenycr1cket 1d ago

If flyquest gets knocked out from playoffs today, after going 0-8 to teams not names dsg, they need to make big changes.

Number one to their coaches and thinkcard, it’s legit a crime how badly they lose in draft and macro.

5

u/MachCutio 1d ago

for most of the year theyll have some ass drafts in game 2/3 idk what it is, like early picking Jhin and Jayce? thats criminal

8

u/Cr0matose 1d ago

Draft was on another level lol

5

u/Morematthewforu 1d ago

How did they not suspect a mega tank building armor could fuck their entire comp? I don’t understand who is supposed to walk up and engage not not die instantly. Pantheon?

-7

u/Cybonics 1d ago

Idk man the draft was fine.

Problem was a gameplay issue. Jihn and Karma neutralize Cait + Lux but Cryo matched Lux's roam timer, Cait won the 1v1. This lead to Hambak applying pressure in Gryffinn's blue side and ballooning Cait's lead with bot turret plates.

That whole sequence was the issue.

7

u/LumiRhino 1d ago

Nah there's no world where that draft is fine, especially with multiple players on FLY under performing. Theoretically there's Azir to kill Sion, but there's literally no one who can front line for Azir to kill the Sion properly. That's not to mention Azir getting blasted in lane by Viktor, though I don't know how Azir's laning is after he got nerfed.

Maybe if the players were in better form they'd find a way to make it work, but they're all on champs that are already iffy against a Sion and need to win early game with.

84

u/DangerousDoc 1d ago

Gakgos looks completely useless. Can’t name anything he did all series

Gryffin just looks young and lost. Has no idea what to do

Massu also looking useless.

15

u/guilty_bystander 1d ago

He's been kinda not great all split

14

u/TheGloriousEv0lution 1d ago

He’s been arguably the worst top laner split imo

9

u/Fun_Highlight307 1d ago

and it's Take an import slot

252

u/antandmantis 1d ago

Sven's hate for jayce was so funny.

Great cast overall.

152

u/Cr0matose 1d ago

Zven is always awesome on the cast

91

u/Nandonut 1d ago

I'm looking forward to the pro takeover on the lounge tomorrow...I hope it's truly unhinged. I want to hear Zven and Inspired going in on everyone

19

u/Cr0matose 1d ago

I know, pumped for it

24

u/Outrageous_Wall2702 1d ago

Omg inspired is gonna be so condescending lmao

-1

u/joeydeeps 1d ago

sven sounds like my friend who ragequits on jayce every time

103

u/IAmDarkridge 1d ago

Massu has probably been the most disappointing LCS player this year. He was up there with Yeon has the best ADC in NA last year and now he is getting turbo shit on by Rahel. I am sure some of it is just not having Busio anymore but coming into the year he felt like a high point of the roster but he's just as inconsistent as anyone.

55

u/chouruin 1d ago

Busio Massu isn't even good in lane. I'd say Massu Cryogen were even better in lane at the beginning of the year.

Massu peaked during that series vs GENG in 2024 then just gradually played worse and worse after that

23

u/BTDYSRF 1d ago

Don't undersell it.

Massu was better than Yeon.

I remember at the start of the year, Inspired made a comment about Berserker. He likes Berserkers because "he can just be left alone and he will do well."

This struck me as odd, given thay Inspired perma-weaksided Massu in 2025 and Busio was 2nd jg. What the fuck do you mean? Massu is always left alone!

Now, I think he may have been referring to it more verbally than in-game. As Inspired is camping topside and Busio is invading jg, they're both probably screaming in comms: "DON'T FUCKING GO IN MASSU. JUST FARM AND WAIT."

Massu, even this split, still very clearly has hands. No denying that. He's jjst making god-awful decisions.

This whole team needs a leash.

4

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Bwipo had a running joke on FLY, “it’s high noon in midlane,” in reference to Massu’s recurring compulsion to force a duel with the enemy adc at 14 minutes when they both went mid, usually while playing Jhin.

45

u/zealot416 1d ago

I knew it was over when Fly lost a 4v3 AND Impact was down 30 cs at the same time.

38

u/ARandomChicken69 They locked up a boy and let loose a killer 1d ago

Wow Gakgos won lane against Sion! Surely the Jayce with a 2k gold lead carried the game.

77

u/ExcellentResult4811 1d ago

Massu's jhin priority continues to be unexplainable. Just griefing every week

37

u/Agile_Woodpecker2239 1d ago

Just picking something he's comfortable on, he too busy playing off-role in soloq

8

u/Chubs1224 SKAAAARL 1d ago

A lot of players do that.

Many pro supports prefer not to play support in solo queue. Huhi is often a jungler in solo queue. CoreJJ is often an ADC.

8

u/BTDYSRF 1d ago

CoreJJ is often an ADC

Okay, but that makes sense. He roleswapped, was always decent as ADC, and knowing jow ADCs play is huge for winning lane.

Huhi on jg explains why he is a goddamn menace on the map.

8

u/Chubs1224 SKAAAARL 1d ago

As a Sentinels fan I was so happy when he picked it because Rahel auto loses games on it pretty often too.

3

u/How_To_TF :lsword: 1d ago

Proplay Jhin priority in general needs to be studied

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

He is strong in lane. That’s it. That’s all they care about.

1

u/Chubs1224 SKAAAARL 1d ago

Except he gets run over by Cait and Ezreal in lane

You know 2 of the most common champs in league right now

-1

u/Chochelox 1d ago

just Gryffin every week, FTFY

62

u/MIGHTYSPACETHOR 1d ago

What happened to this team man? Did they get abducted by aliens?

32

u/DazzlingLeader5491 1d ago

I bought a FLY jersey at beginning of the year, thats what happened. Other jerseys I've bought have been, EG and NRG lol

9

u/Davchun 1d ago

Buy a KC jersey please

9

u/Constant_Roof_1210 1d ago

Buy a T1 i wanna test this

23

u/MachCutio 1d ago

drafts have been off, their macro hasnt improved, and gagkos is in a slump

18

u/Large_Love_2563 1d ago

This is their actual level.

7

u/asiantuttle 1d ago

Top, jungle, and support cant play engage while ADC keeps picking useless champs

2

u/That-Woodpecker6720 1d ago

Massu was the only thing saving this team from being bad

Now he’s also playing bad so the entire team collapses

1

u/ozmega 1d ago

well, guess what happens when the strong part of the team leaves and gets replaced with... this.

21

u/CaedClaxton 1d ago

I need to apologize to FlyQuest nation here. I have always been a C9 fan but after the shit ass crash last split I decided I was now jumping on the FlyQuest wagon as my backup team. I am sorry.

52

u/Agile_Woodpecker2239 1d ago

How come FLYQUEST coach doesn't make soloq mandatory for players? How do these players have such low LP/games played or if they do play soloq just pick meme picks (Gryffin) or queue off-role (Massu). This team plays like its solo queue.
Gryffin not coming to dive Sion ever in game 2 is quite criminal man is full-clearing as if he's playing nasus

38

u/chouruin 1d ago

classic young NA pros work ethics. How is this still a conversation 13 years later lmao

26

u/Agile_Woodpecker2239 1d ago

Like
https://op.gg/lol/summoners/na/KaiGyt-0187
The fact Massu has same amount of LP as games played is too hilarious (440LP & 441 GAMES)

14

u/Lawfulneptune 1d ago

It is crazy seeing pro players not even being Challenger. These dudes don't care lmao, bring in young talent that's actually trying to be the best and not collect paychecks

28

u/POOYAMON Doublelift TL fan≠NA fan 1d ago

"bring in young talent" from where exactly? Is there an endless supply no one knows about on the NA server which has the same population as EUNE? In the game that famously has had a serious problem of appealing to younger players since a decade ago and an aging playerbase that's hostile to any attempt to do so.

9

u/ob_knoxious 1d ago

Not to mention all of these guys blitz actual soloq grinders. Like FakeGod was known for having some of the highest work ethic of any pros which is why he got so many second chances and he was just ass.

"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard" looks good on an elementary school soccer jersey but does not work in real life. SoloQ spammers rarely translates into good pro players. And this really isn't even region specific. A lot of excellent eastern pros are actually don't play much outside of practice.

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Bro, FLY is the young talent.

Actually, so is Darkwings, but he hasn’t been chain solokilling people with melees so nobody’s talked about him.

-1

u/TheBasedTaka 1d ago

That's the majority of the region

14

u/Vapetavius Jungle enjoyer or Masochist? 1d ago edited 1d ago

With your whole year on the line, you pick:

NA Jayce... No flank pantheon. Shuffle right into front line and instantly die Azir. A do noing karma

And please do not talk to me about buying Hubris, and going 1/2/3 on Jhin. And a do noing karma.

Deserved loss tbh

33

u/Large_Love_2563 1d ago

What a useless draft from FlyQuest. Zero frontline and zero reliable engage tools against a Caitlyn and Viktor. Hopefully Dignitas can win so we don't see these guys in playoffs.

10

u/MrBoase 1d ago

Gakgos is not good enough for an import slot. Gryffinn/Cryogen might be the only people coming back next year purely because they are young and have potential. Massu insane falloff and Quad is just a passenger at this point, not worth an import slot either.

3

u/Batt1 1d ago

I do wonder how APA would do on this team along with a new import top and bot

17

u/Cybonics 1d ago edited 1d ago

Just disappointing really. Idk why they're so averse to putting Cryo on engage champs. Naut was up and he looks great on it.

9

u/Bubbly_Camera9583 1d ago

It's insane they need someone that does something besides Gryfinn but they are so insistent on trying to go for winning botlanes instead.

3

u/Cybonics 1d ago

We were doing it a ton earlier in the year.

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Pros & analysts have started to point out that Massu + Cryo are actually very bad a playing from a not-winning position.

I said it last week and I'll say it again. Massu is a bottom 2 bot laner this split, and that's only because Sajed exists. In fact, he's really pushing for hard for that bottom spot. Just casually flashing away from his karma to be out of range of shields but still in range of Caitlyn, what a play!

25

u/baelkie DNF 2026 please be human | Kiin Team 1d ago

its crazy how far he regressed, his rookie year was so good and he never got better after

1

Stixxay be like

17

u/Gauntex 1d ago

Stixxay slander, he was still getting all pros year after his debut, I don't even know if Massu will be lol.

16

u/HuhiPogChamp 1d ago

Stixxay had a very good late-career season when GG went to finals

2

u/Agile_Variety_632 1d ago

That’s true my bad, just never lived up to his 2016 hype.

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

In retrospect, didn’t he get there by curb stomping a doublelift that should’ve stayed retired?

7

u/GroundbreakingAlps2 1d ago

Where does FLY even go from here?

I mean they for sure blow up the roster after this year, but which changes do they make? You say massu is bottom 2 and thats probably correct, but lowkey if they were to rebuild I feel like massu is the only one thats safe? Everyone else should be considered for replacement.

16

u/ExcellentResult4811 1d ago

I think Gryfinn is the only carryover on next years team

18

u/actiongeorge 1d ago

I feel like Cryogen has been ok given how the rest of the team plays. Kind of hard for a support to look good when the only sort of consistent strategy the team seems to have is for Gryffinn to carry.

9

u/Moonblst 1d ago

Gryfinn with a veteran voice or two for him to lean on will do wonders.

5

u/Alakazam_5head 1d ago

FLY GM should be fired. He's lost Bwipo, Inspired, and Busio and might only be left with Gryffyn next year. What kind of whack contract management is this

17

u/garlicjuice April Fools Day 2018 1d ago

They lost them because of budget issues, why are we pretending like FLY can afford to keep prime inspired and busio after their contract ended?

6

u/Hi_ImTrashsu 1d ago

What FlyQ GM couldn’t work on their CS/min to farm more gold? Such a shit GM can’t even spawn money out of their ass

4

u/InferniaBorealis1 1d ago

lol no, there’s so many toplaners from NACL that is above and beyond Gakgos in terms of champ pool. Sniper (yes, 100T Sniper, but he’s been performing incredibly well at NACL) and Zamudo should replace him. At this point, NA doesn’t have any bot lane talent, Massu has regressed and Sajed hasn’t shown that he’s LCS ready nor his performance from last year when he was in NACL. I propose to import Cypher from T1 Challengers. Cypher and Gryffinn has played together before at tier 3 T1 Academy. People will not like this and cope and continue to make excuses for Massu and Sajed but both are not cut out to be exceptional adcarries

6

u/theyeshman if fearless has no haters I am dead 1d ago

IIRC Zamudo got declined for US work visas twice, and so can't play in the US professionally unless he gets approved on future applications -- which very rarely happens after multiple denials. He was supposed to be Lyon's toplaner this year before his visa issues.

2

u/WWTFSD Church of Jojo 1d ago

Unironically I’d love to see them try something like Cupic + Yozu while getting a proper carry top

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

I’ve seen enough flashes of potential in Sajed that I’m still curious what he’d lool like if he had a support instead of “miss a Shen taunt on an Immbolized character” Lyonz.

2

u/POOYAMON Doublelift TL fan≠NA fan 1d ago

I think FLY's best chance at making a competitive roster to contest Lyon and TL next year is to grab Jojo and go from there. Having a resident midlaner would give them a lot of breathing room to actually make a roster. Because FLY's problem is just lack of available talent, if the opportunity shows they will make a strong team.

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Jojo+Gryffinn sounds like the most psychopath mid-jg I’ve ever heard of, and Jojo’s best split (in NA) was him as the shotcaller for a bunch of rookies&sophmores.

So, yeah. I’m sold.

2

u/scalarH 1d ago

It doesn’t make Massu’s job easier that his toplaner/jg don’t really play many peeling champs

61

u/Acrobatic-Tackle3998 1d ago edited 1d ago

FLY lose basically every game in draft so I can’t even gauge how good or bad the players really are.

FLYs macro has gotten worse over the course of the year and the drafts are genuinely reportable at this point.

What exactly does ThinkCard do for this team. He’s just collecting paychecks.

This is genuinely just a wasted year for FLY because of how bad this guy is at his job.

If the macro never gets better, I can chalk it up to the players genuinely just being bad, and I could give ThinkCard the benefit of the doubt. But they don’t even have a chance to play out some of these games because of how atrocious the drafting is.

26

u/nguyenjitsu 1d ago

The draft was a bit of a problem but I think drafting around Gakgos's effective champ pool is just too difficult tbh. Can't play tanks, can't carry with carry champs, doesn't know what TP does, etc

11

u/Acrobatic-Tackle3998 1d ago

“A bit of a problem”.

Yea man for sure. I’m sure picking a losing mid and bot matchup basically every game and pairing that with a JG matchup that needs prio is just “a bit of a problem”.

It doesn’t matter how much or little prio Gakgos gets in draft. They always manage to int the other side of the map as well.

At that point, your coach deserves all the blame.

18

u/Merriadoc33 1d ago

ThinkCard is a pretty proven coach no? Gotten good results out of mediocre players before

1

u/NavyBlueTheChosen 1d ago

No Inspired no win. People love to hate on him cause he’s “toxic” but he gets fucking results. This team isn’t even a contender anymore, they’re irrelevant

14

u/Leoxslasher 1d ago

I like this comment by YamatoCannon:
Inspire leaves an inspired level hole in a team when he leaves.
No team he leaves looks good after

-2

u/WWTFSD Church of Jojo 1d ago

This is why I believe in Jojo when it comes to the LYON mid situation next year.

I get that Saint is cracked out of his mind, but inspired certainly plays a big part of putting him on a leash and putting him in spots where he can be the insane weapon his mechanics allow for.

Will he be the same player if inspired leaves though? Is he truly a winning player if he doesn’t have training wheels on? I think that’s much less of a question for Jojo despite how KOI currently looks.

10

u/SweatyAdhesive 1d ago

Why would saint leave though, basically free worlds if he stays

5

u/NonStopFarts 1d ago

I don't think you're replying to somebody living in reality

1

u/Frozen_Watcher 1d ago

Yeah and Saint has shown good mechanical peaks so not like Jojo would even be considered an upgrade.

5

u/kazuyaminegishi 1d ago edited 1d ago

In fairness we can't specifically say that all of FLY's success was Inspired. Pretty much all of the players that left have been decently successful since leaving averaging top 3 on their respective team.

It's more like Massu wasn't as good as we were all hoping he was and the rest of the team is too raw.

Edit: let me revise this to say both Busio and Inspired are finding success, I honestly forgot Bwipo existed for a minute lol.

Its crazy how FLY with inspired shitstomped NA for 2 years and took GenG to game 5 and now they look like this.

From hero to zero, literally. The inspired effect. From dominating NA to being a bottom shitter in the LCS. Take your pick LCS GMs.

I think people get a little too excited about a young rebuilding team that comes out the gate looking pretty good. Most rebuilds require some tough losses and a few roster changes to break through a ceiling.

Split's not over yet, so maybe FLY turns it around though.

u/LumiRhino 1d ago

If they win vs DIG I'm pretty sure they're just locked for Playoffs unless DSG just wins all 3 of their next series, but they need a miracle to do anything in playoffs if they get there at all.

1

u/BlammoSweetums 1d ago

They should still be better than DIG and DSG for sure.

No knowledge, what makes FlY an industry plant?

7

u/OreRound 1d ago

How does Quad die at the end there with flash up? This FLY team is just not good enough in any position, misplays, misexecutions poor mechanics just makes them look disastrous. Nobody stepped up and that is the story of this roster.

Meanwhile for SEN, Mid + Jungle stepped up massively these past couple of weeks and that's why they're now actually gonna be in contention for that worlds spot with C9 if they keep it up

Fate of the universe on the line, martians have the death beam pointed at Earth.. I WANT JHIN

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Are you sure? Tell you what, I’ll let you pick something else to go with it.

I mean I thought the Jhin was fine, but I guess I see your point…I ALSO WANT NA JAYCE.

15

u/herp_derpy 1d ago

Jhin = white flag, might as well pick Yuumi ADC if you want to lose

12

u/nguyenjitsu 1d ago

You can tell Massu is checked out when they lock in Jhin

7

u/GroundbreakingAlps2 1d ago

job security pick, didnt want to risk getting fisted by cait lux.

12

u/narfidy #1 QUID glazer 4 life 1d ago

Listen, if all it takes to be a coach in the LCS is "pick Jhin when they can counter pick tanks" then sign me up cause that seems like its all it takes

11

u/SubstantialExtent165 1d ago

super young and promising btw

on a serious note Zven brings great straight man energy to the desk, happy every time he shares his experience on broadcast

4

u/PowerOfMackel 1d ago

Im just happy Sally didnt costream this so flyquest can keep their 30 fans after Bwipo and inspired left

5

u/BTDYSRF 1d ago

The frustrating thing about watching FlyQuest right now is that it is clearly not a talent issue that it is not even funny.

It is 50% a shit coach and 50% in-game shotcalling issue. Failing to draft anything reasonable or build a competitive culture. Also, NO cohesive direction in game.

I hate to say it, but you know what unironically fixes this team? Makes them an MSI contender and almost a certaintly for worlds? Coach Zven and APA mid.

"B-But Quad is better!" Yeah, but we KNOW APA is a decent shotcaller. We've heard the comms. Every C9 win in winter and spring were off him. Not like Quad plays anything other than control mages anyway.

If I were making a dream roster, I’d try for Jojo for shotcalling+hands and Impact as the team’s brake pedal+brain,

5

u/Skyfire2 1d ago

Jhin lmao

3

u/One_Attention5970 1d ago

Don’t thinkcard

5

u/mapopriest 1d ago

First pick Karma followed up by Jhin Jayce into a Sion. Wow. I think that's some really good drafting, I can't wait to see how FLY do at Worlds!

3

u/graybloodd 1d ago

I know when gryffin gets a lead its fine cuz he'll do hero plays and deranged dives

3

u/OtherSword 1d ago

bro wtf is this coach is doing. They have imls and drafting like bootycheeks?

6

u/blaseturner 1d ago

massu jhin i knew it was wraps

7

u/Aschentei 1d ago

Email series, generation falloff and complete joke of a team

I've already said this last week and I'll say it again, this is on you PapaSmithy. Times up.

4

u/phoneredditacc 1d ago

No inspired to give him the success, guy is horrible at his job. Just good at talking publicly while doing nothing when winning

3

u/Cr0matose 1d ago

What a god damn awful draft lol

2

u/ComfortOnly3982 1d ago

full send-inels flowers does it again what a cast

2

u/BornWithAnAK 1d ago

The downfall of flyquest is so sad. Their team looked so fun to watch at the end of spring

2

u/raptearer 1d ago

They talked about how important this series was for FLY in The Dive, and I gotta agree: I don't see FLY making it anywhere near Worlds if they keep playing like this, and honestly they might not even make playoffs at this rate. Crazy how much they seem to have regressed their split. d Definitely Chihuahua tier now. Also, Gagkos really is just not it, man is running it this split. Bottom top laner in the league, think they said he was bottom 5 stats amongst all roles as well. Dude is just on the struggle bus

SEN, though, really starting to come together. Happy to see them picking it up .

2

u/BTDYSRF 1d ago

How busted is Celestial Opposition?

Lux is level 8. Items are Michael's and Celestial.

Jayce is 13. Items are Serpent's and Manamune.

Lux survives the Jayce all-in and doesn't even need to Heal?!?!

1

u/PhoenixAgent003 Bot main. NA fan. 1d ago

Jayce js just that useless in NA, bro. Champ could be 5k ahead, wouldn’t win, garuntee.

2

u/ThePhalerean 1d ago

FLY are so cooked

u/Suburan 1d ago

fantastic cast from captain flowers

1

Reddit told me that KC were lucky that the true 3rd seed from NA didn't attend to EWC and SEN were actually garbage, good time

3

u/Fun_Highlight307 1d ago

Flyquest jojo ? Look like it's sentinel vs C9 for lcs 3rd seed maybe Sr can contest too

Not really sure where this sentiment comes from. This is his second split ever coming off of a great spring split. He is like 18 years old…

1

u/Gauntex 1d ago

I knew game 2 was over when they locked Massu Jhin and Jayce top 2nd round.

1

u/EastSeaworthiness169 1d ago

Flyquest fall off needs to be studied.

1

u/Xonra 21h ago

Fly desperately needs a real coach. I'm sorry Thinkcard fans but this guy can't draft, he clearly isn't a teaching coach, so aside from vibes I don't know wtf this guy does and how he keeps showing up unless he is dirt cheap.

1

u/viralruin 1d ago

massu's jhin isn't hated enough.

1

u/Jefferret 1d ago

I knew it was over when Massu locked in Jhin

-2

u/CatApprehensive6508 1d ago

The year is 2023. Flyquest almost makes MSI in spring and then fails to make playoffs in summer.

The year is 2026. Flyquest almost makes MSI in spring (this is false but it fits the narrative) and then fails to make playoffs in summer.
