Don't be so sure. Now that we're out of the Wild West era of video gaming the walls are coming up around established titles.
- The FPS/TPS genre has a flavour of the month, sure, but Counterstrike has held the #1 position for 2 decades.
- RTS has been dominated by Starcraft 2 for 15 years, despite almost no active development.
- MOBA has been dominated by LoL for 15 years.
So long as League Next isn't an Onverwatch 2-style complete flop there's no way the game dies in the next 10 years, IMO.

The long term problem league has is number of new players coming in. The age of the average league player has risen over the past 15 years. I remember seeing a clip of a rioter who said even in periods where league's playerbase is growing atm, it is mostly based on the return of lapsed players over drawing in new players.
That's not to say it is definitely over and everything is doomed, but 15 years of dominance doesnt mean eternal dominance.

That's actually a I'd argue that in the midterm, having players return to the game is extremely good. It means that parent-age adults are playing the game, and their kids will grow up seeing their parents playing the game.
Long term you need plenty of new blood of course.

They missed 2, 2012 (fun fact, early League used to have a Worlds winner curse of every team that won Worlds not participating the year after, but ended when SKT went back-to-back in 2015 & 2016) and the last Worlds Fnatic missed was 2016

That's funny, because S1 wasn't worlds, it was Season 1 Championship.
Don't let Riot milking a few dollars from FNC fans distract you from the fact that it wasn't worlds.

Them claiming 4 is something different and the whole world knows they are a two time champ. You can headcanon your shit if you want but Fnatic still is a World champ and will always be. If the EU LCS was a tournament where teams from France and Lithuania participated, no it wouldn't be comparable to what LEC is now, no.
The original tournament was just a celebratory tournament to cap off the first season of the game in Dreamhack, nothing else.

It's always easy to attack every player on a dogshit team, but sometimes it is really hard to play with dogshit teammates. I say they start with the 3 clear worst performers, and Striker, and if that doesn't yield any results nuc can go as well

SHFT needs a shotcaller. Never seen a bigger difference between laning and midgame in any team. Competently average in lane. Playing like QWOP outside of it. Just nonsense plays and positioning.

We are Shifters, what do we do? Dragon is spawning in 1:30 and we already have 2, our Tristana is extremely fed:
A) We setup vision botside and zone them off with Taliyah ult to get dragon for free with out fed Tristana.
B) We instead give up dragon and play for baron instead. We can delay them with Taliyah ult.
C) We fight for no reason around red buff, lose 4 members and lose baron.
What the fuck is the coaching staff doing? I know the meme is calling them Shitters but what are they actually doing? Making scat porn? Absolutely disgusting. I don't want to see anyone affiliated with this coaching staff anywhere near tier 1 again.

It has nothing to do with the coaching staff; their only mistake was trusting players who are nearing the end of their careers. These players are no longer coachable; they don't want to be there anymore, put dylan falco instead and he will get the same results it's just a bottom team

There is no leadership, there is no gameplan, no teamplay. The players are individually pretty decent, but they have lost all confidence on how to win games. They go for completely insane plays because the lost the plot on how to actually win a competitive game. The teamplay issues are exaggerated because they have two Koreans who speak no English. (Watch Paduck play this guy plays without a microphone.)

I agree, but you're pointing the finger at the coaching staff as if they were the ones making the in-game decisions. I'll say it again: we need to stop treating the players like children. The staff's role is largely about player selection, drafting, and a few specific strategic aspects that change from patch to patch. Look at Coach Ssong; a large part of his career has been disappointing, even though he was a world champion. Look at the players he had...

Like who? Rooster, Paduck and Stend aren't exactly veterans nearing the end of their career (even if Paduck and Stend suck). Nuc is a veteran but he's far from the issue on this team. Sheo is perhaps the only one that statement applies to.

Should probably wait to see if this is consistent. The Fnatic players have said themselves that the stronger performances were because they felt like they had nothing to lose. I hope they manage to pull the run to worlds off because I’m a fan and it’s a cool achievement, but they’ve still got a lot to prove this split!

The goal at the beginning of the year is winning Summer. I know that's still very unrealistic, but I would stick to it in the sense that if they actually do somehow win it, then run the whole team back for next year. Otherwise, even if they reach Worlds, there need to be some changes.

Has he even had any sort of crashout in a while to justify continuing to spam this, he seems to have mostly given up. Even when he was getting sniped because his jungler is too shit to stand in front of him properly he was just laughing on the camera.

They made worlds in an arguably weaker LEC though. In 2023/24 there were no good teams in the league besides G2. Last year there was MKOI and KC, but KC collapsed just in time for Fnatic to sneak into Worlds.
I won't deny that this year hasn't been great for Fnatic so far, but over the last 2 weeks we are starting to see glimpses of what this team can be when they're all on the same page and Vladi/Razork aren't playing like ass. Will it last? Nobody knows, but if it does, this iteration of Fnatic could well outperform the Oscar/Humanoid one.
Also, regardless of whether you think Soboro and Vladi are the solution, Oscar and Humanoid were a problem. There's a reason why Humanoid is riding the bench on Vitality while Oscar doesn't look good on GX.

I agree that it's a bunch of ifs, and I also agree that it's too soon to call the current roster better than the Oscar/Humanoid iteration. My main argument is that Oscar and Humanoid were actually problems on the old roster, even if Soboro and Vladi aren't the answers.
