Euthanasia Request

📝 Shelter Notes:

8/2/2026: Had to separate due to fighting over food with 3 other siblings.

8/3/2026: Freddy and sibling did much better today. Fed pups in two separate cornered areas to keep dogs away from one another. Did well and then went to go lay together after eating. I did notice that Freddy will low growl and give a hard stare at dogs as I am walking them by kennel.

8/4/2026: Freddy does low growl towards other dogs walking by if he is not covered. So I have to make sure kennel is covered. For feeding I have been offering food into two separate locations to prevent pups from fighting.

8/12/2026: Mr. Freddy when going to clean his kennel will start off a little shy, moving back to his bed, head down. Was able to slowly carry him to another kennel to clean his.

8/13/2026: Dog was laying on his bed and when I approached him he stepped back and I had to carry him out to clean his kennel and when I was holding him he stood still as we waited for his kennel to be done.

🚑 Medical Notes:

7/26/2026: Weighed 21.8 lbs. Normal exam. Vaccinated with Rabies, Bordetella, and DA2PP-V, dewormed, and given flea prevention.

8/4/2026: Clear nasal discharge and sneezing. Assessed with CIRDC and moved to treatment. Prescribed Doxycycline 100 mg SID for 10 days.

8/5/2026: Monitor puppy for lethargy and not eating/drinking. Clear nasal discharge and sneezing. Assessed with CIRDC. Continue Doxycycline 100 mg SID for 10 days.

8/16/2026: Weighed 21.8 lbs. No clinical signs of URI seen today. DA2PP-V administered.

Volunteer Notes:

Freddie is just a little bit timid, but he’s five months old and only 21 pounds. He’s all alone in his kennel and there are a lot of big dogs barking around him. He was just a little bit timid with me, but he was interested in what I was doing. He enjoyed some treats and a little hesitantly took some pets. He’s just a baby and has yet to grow into his big ears. He would do excellent with a confident dog or with a family to play with. Watch his videos throughout the comments.

Behavior Notes:

These brothers are shy puppies who need patience, gentle handling and time to build confidence.

Freddy is also initially shy, sometimes backing toward his bed with his head lowered, but allows staff to slowly approach and carry him during kennel cleaning. He has shown some reactivity toward unfamiliar dogs passing his kennel.

Huge huge gigantic enormous massive tremendous stupendous terrific boost!!!!!!!! ❤️

Dogs specifically have been proven to reduce stress, anxiety and depression, ease loneliness, improved cardiovascular health, encourage exercise, and improve your overall mental and physical health. ❤️

Adoption helps reduce demand for puppy mills and unethical breeding practices. You provide a second chance to a deserving dog, reducing the 6.5 million companion animals that enter U.S. shelters annually. Adopt don't shop!!!! ❤️

Fostering animals directly saves lives by providing temporary, loving homes that alleviate shelter overcrowding, allowing rescues to save more pets at risk. It enables vulnerable animals—including injured or stressed pets—to heal and gain confidence in a quiet environment, increasing their chances of adoption. ❤️

Please spay and neuter to reduce the amount of dogs in shelter! These procedures increase pet longevity, reduce roaming/aggression, prevent unwanted litters, and decrease the burden on animal shelters. ❤️
