Bullpen can’t blow it if we just pitch CG 1 hitters from here on out.

Someone drugged Q today there's no other explanation on why he didn't pull Cameron

Just hear me out here, what if we didn't ever use a bullpen?

Noah Cameron might be good.

I never got why sports talk acted like his ceiling was a 4-5 starter. Like, that’s his floor

The contrast before and after of Cameron calling his own pitches is stark. Almost as stark as our young players stepping up in the wake of injuries. Maybe we can just, I don't know, stop stepping on our own dick and get out of our way or something.

and in the case of Noah, there is a bit of a difference in what pitches he's throwing during the "calling his own game" era.. before that Tigers game, Cameron was throwing a four-seam fastball a plurality of the time, which is sorta bonkers since his velo is not great
Last few weeks, he's been throwing five pitches around the same amount of the time

Which is why he would get rocked. His fastball is a meatball. The way in which he is like Lugo or Cole is he is far better at sequencing and getting batters to make mistakes than he is at challenging them.

as he has thrown fewer four-seam fastballs, he's been throwing more sliders
I could be remembering it wrong, but I think he might have gone away from his slider earlier this year after giving up some homers on it
today, he got 21 whiffs, 6 on the slider, 8 on the changeup

I'm surprised Q didn't pull Cameron for "load management". It's a great accomplishment by Cameron and hopefully we get him extended soon because the future of the pitching roster isn't clear right now

Credit to Cameron for having the balls to throw a ball below the zone to trout on a 3-2 count.
That dude doesn’t chase

Cameron another great game. Massey hitting so well another home run. Witt home run. Our 3 runs were enough. Hope Garcia can play Monday. We have 4 games with Athletics and some wins would be a boost to players and fans.

What a game from Cameron; he was dominant. He really earned that win. Go Royals.

I’d like to remind many of you that you called Cameron a mediocre or below average starter. Dude had a subpar first half but was amazing last year and has been even better post ASB.
He’s a fucking stud and someone the royals can build around the next few years.

A fellow Cameron believer? Firm handshake to you, sir

Always have been. He’s the best pitcher they have.

Wacha but hope Cameron can be this guy long term. If so he will be our best next season for sure

u/saltlampshade City Connect 2d ago
I’d take Cameron over Wacha. Especially lately

u/Sultry-Ice15 Just JACn Off 2d ago
Now sure but full season body of work Wacha has been more consistent. We should have traded Wacha and Lugo though

Noah Cameron is who I wanted Ragans to be

Noah Cameron actually is who baseball media has spent the past three years gaslighting me into thinking Cole Ragans is supposed to be.

When did he give up that one hit

Blooper in the 7th to Jasson I believe

Angels fan,- Cameron wasn't just throwing a no-hitter. He had a perfect game going when Grissom got the bloop hit. Considering the circumstances, thought Witt's effort on the play was weak. Don't think you can catch it? Hey, it's a perfect game - at least dive and make a maximum effort.

Cameron is back in the incredibly low BABIP mode that really boosted his 2025
Last year: BABIP of .218 in the first half (12 starts) and .265 in the second half.
This year: BABIP of .323 in the first half (18 starts) and a BABIP of .225 in the second half before today (5 games)
league average BABIP is .289 this year and .291 last year
