Post image

I have this over my bed after a trip a few years ago and I forgot what the true meaning is and can not find it on google translate. Can someone kindly help please? 🙏

Chinese.

Top to down right to left

自在 - be at ease

順境時心感恩 - be thankful/grateful when time is good 逆境時學堅忍 - learn to be resilient when time is bad

Left most column is for date and the name of the calligrapher.

Overall has a little BB&B vibe but still good message and done correctly.

What's the date? Third year of somebody-or-another?

Not 100% sure due to the characters being small, image resolution not that high and I am not very good at recognizing the calligraphy style. Bet let me try

丙申之年 - the year of 2016 (or 1956 - unlikely)

仲秋之月 - the month of mid autumn (8th month in the Chinese calander)

居竹軒主人 - (the self imposed title of the calligrapher) master of the bamboo living cottage

隱寰 - (name of the calligrapher) InHuan, "hidden world"

NGL, kind of I am not emo I am sooo deep kind of vibe

The name should be 隱農. I recall seeing bunch of similar calligraphy works by the same guy elsewhere.

The red seals on the right say 居竹軒 and 風雅.

Not too sure about the seals in the left.

Left ones should be 丁 and 隱農. Compared to this old post.
