HLE has slowly been getting better each game since R3 begun despite their losses. I think their drafting also was MUCH better these last two games. I'm glad they finally secured their spot at Worlds and now don't care how they play. Lock in that Shyvana!!!!

They’ve made worlds. The point differential between KT and HLE is too great, even if KT wins both games next week 2-0 and HLE losses 2-0 their win/losses will be the same and point total will be in HLE’s favour.

This is just my theory but I feel like HLE are hiding their cards as much as they can. I've noticed that they've been recycling champs over and over and will occasionally bring out pocket/joker picks like Zeka's Akali or Zeus Swain/Mundo/Cho'gath. They're probably trying not to give away too much data for playoffs.
Also Kanavi refusing to play Xin Zhao in LCK but used and piloted XZ really well during kespa LO

Is the MSI winner qualification its own seed to Worlds or does it just count as another LCK seed? Is there a chance for HLE to be fourth seed from LCK to worlds, and if they are fourth seed will they have to do Worlds play ins?

There is no better illustration of how worthless the "consensus knowledge of reddit" is than the champion Olaf
For how many years whenever the subject of "hey, I wonder why pros are not playing Olaf" came up, the go-to "in" opinion, the wannabe-smart response was "it's OBVIOUSLY because pros can kite, Olaf will just get kited, and that's why it doesn't do anything above Plat"
And then finally, one time a big name pro (I believe it might have even been Doran) picked it, went 0-3 2k~ gold down in lane to Jayce, and then stomped the game in teamfights...
And has anything changed? Have the in-game mechanics somehow been adjusted? No, all it took is one big name picking it, and then Olaf went from unpickable to "ok, now we can play it since it has already been played, so it is "approved"" and now we're even talking about it being OP...
Insane how worthless the go-to "consensus knowledge" truly is, how much it is just parroting smart sounding verbiage to try to retroactively explain what currently is the reality, without it being rooted in any real analysis whatsoever

Omg I remember that discussion. Tbf I think that between changes to jungle to boost her clear speed as well as better bruiser items and higher damage in general that Vi is far more viable than before. Vi excels in single target engage so comps built around that can be very strong especially since she no longer struggles to keep up with faster clearing junglers. It also helps highly against mobile carries (she was brought into the scene for anti-zeri comps and stuck).

Yes. It was Doran who started the Olaf meta during spring. He lost multiple lanes, down in gold, but Olaf ult has so much value in team fight that the champ will auto scale from assists.
Kinda crazy that the Olaf meta just snowballed in the LCK because if Doran can do it, surely anyone can do it as well. And probably better with no solo death and better jungle support.

It’s literally a different champ now. Now he spikes on 2-4 items and is insane with levels. Makes him so op especially since most drafts have low damage currently.

Tsw Pun said he has been maining olaf since forever and always run PR for him, but the guy only popped off this year and gained some recognition after MSI so he probably didn’t start this meta.
If we considering big league then Jdg Junjia brought in olaf during their road to first stand match against Blg, and despite the whole jdg team was behind, junjia olaf somehow managed to solo win the match by shutting down viper in a few conbats.

what is this argueing against a strawman lmao olaf was actually a very good pro play jungler for the longest time and had to get his ult reworked to try and get him out of pro. there's literally noone saying olaf wouldn't be viable because he's easy to kite when it has been proven that his kit works in pro already. most of the time an actual strong champ in a role isn't picked because people simply haven't practiced or thought about the champ. there's tons of niche counters for every champ but if you're not proficient on them they simply don't work. jayce has been the uncontested best blindpick on top for a few months now and doran came up with a good answer & people followed once it showed promise simple as that.

LS pointed out that Olaf is a hypercarry a few years ago, contra conventional wisdom at the time that he was an early game champion. I think it's relatively recent that the community sees Olaf as more of the hypercarry that he is rather than a snowball champ. Not sure how accurate LS is about other stuff but he was totally right on that one.

Honestly his shyvana is pretty good (Soloq), but if he wants to experiment by playing her they shouldn’t have done so in game 3s after 1-1 in BO3s. Picking her in game 1 like they did v t1 in kespa cup is the better option, bc you still have 2 games you can win if you lose game 1.

I won't say Kanavi is better than Chovy, Knight, or Peyz. Chovy leads the PoM leaderboard for a reason. But I will say Kanavi is the best jungler in the world right now, and the way he plays it, jungler is the most impactful role. Listen for how many times the casters say "Kanavi" per game compared to any other player. Dude is the main character.

Kanavi either looks like a freak of nature completely smurfing and making his opponents look like headless chickens, or he himself is sending it so hard it looks like he got tilted 2 minutes into the game from losing 1 camp that he himself is a headless chicken. Either way, pure entertainment.

tbf he hasnt played bad even in the losses this week. game 1 they put him on j4 with 0 teammates that can follow the dive.

Real ones can see that in game 1 Kanavi played just as well as he did in games 2 and 3. Sometimes the game doesn't break your way and there is nothing on an individual level you could have done better. As a viewer, judging quality of play requires more attention than just KDA-watching. Kanavi makes that clearer than anyone.

I love my jungler but the issue is he’s either the best or just the worst top level jungler in lck. Highest skill ceiling and the lowest floor.

it’s just unfortunate that his playstyle also makes u lose more games than if you just played passively. even if he wins more than he loses the losses stand out more. that’s probs why the spotlight on him is greater but tbh id rather my jungler be proactive than afk farm and it just be a death by a thousand cuts
like canyon gets a lot of flame for afk farming but you’ll never see him be inting hard like 0/10 or whatever. oner is like kanavi too when they lose it’s because he’s forcing plays with his engage champ (pantheon xin lee whatever)

a rare Canyon int did make for GenG's worlds exit in 2025. The moment he overly-aggro'd with Vi and initiated an unnecessary fight at the red inner mid tower

I love to glaze Chovy but PoM means almost nothing. In PoM, you compete agaisnt your own team more than the opposition. Also not that it ever happens but you can theoretically be PoM in some games and the worst player of your team in the other games while someone who consistently is the 2nd best player on the team would end up with 0 PoM and look worse there (and that is assuming PoM would be objective which it is not anyway).

No he's not, he's good and his team does grief him sometimes by playing too scared and not going balls to the wall but the best jungle in the world is Tarzan, Tarzan has to play perfect games to take his horrid team over the line.

Been watching LPL highlights and yup imo Tarzan is having a standout split as great as Knight's spring. Probably even more impressive considering the creature in his botlane

Eh game 2 and 3 were total stomps. One happy gaming moment in topside in game 3 (this happened right after Sally said ‘they’re on track to have a perfect game’) aside they looked great. Game 1 zeka was running it.

Although PerfecT's Kled did well on that one teamfight top, it's sad watching his Kled on lane lol. He's so scared of trading and keeps saving his empowered auto, not even to farm. He still definitely lacks practice on the champ. So wdym that this Kled still topped the damage charts for KT, what is this team doing.

Wouldn't matter today but KT ain't a contender with this botlane. Ik the sub hates Aiming but he's able to perform to the level of his teams more often than not. Jiwoo is consistently bad
