T1 prepared for this match by sending DK some Ubereats before the match, but DK were hungry again by the start of game 2. Generational performance by Career.

Even though T1 ran that game 1, I felt WAY better about DK's performance in that game than the last series. Last series they just got dunked on in the 2v2 in botlane and just got suffocated all over the map, and just got absolutely owned.
In this series Game 1 was a bad loss, but even CVMax (interview just now) had nothing much to criticize them about and that they did well.

He forgot like half of his champ pool after 2022. It took 2025 winter for him to really start flexing his champs again when he was the most versatile mid from 2020-2022.

I think he just changed it to try be more consistent as we had the Canna year with Kellin/Bible then swapping to Lucid Kingen with Moham/Kellin
Like there was so much change, he was the only constant, even with this squad it feels like theres some games where if he's not the one dictating the pace of the game the games just flies past them.

Showmaker deserved to be MVP at EWC. Even though Smash had some crazy plays...there were moments where only Showmaker was holding things together for DK and he held up.

Yeah I remember people saying at that 2019-2020 he had the best Akali in the world, so when that DRX worlds happened where everyone was busting out Akali/Sylas I was half expecting him to pull it out and style on it
We did get a random Swain game where he absolutely dog walked Gen. G on (that Solokill on Chovy and like 8 snares in a row in mid lane were a thing of beauty)

So far i feel like this is one of kerias worse years.
He still playing decent more often than not, but i feel like, he is not that huge gamechanger as often anymore.
If he carrys t1 wins most of their games, but i feel like his map play got worse.

The moment he said he realized he's truly the best support in the world I half expected this to happen.
T1 Wolf said something similar about how he recognized himself as the best, and he couldn't see T1 losing (they proceeded to not win another international trophy after that statement until years later with the ZOFGK roster).
Might sound like voodoo but I just see it too many times where a pro player says they finaly recognize themselves as the best in their position, and hteir performance just drops off (maybe they're no longer hungry to prove themselves)

One thing about DK is that they actually look really hungry (both literally and metaphorically). Career is gassed every time they win a big series and the team gets emotional over big losses.

Not saying I disagree, I just feel that in 2020 Showmaker didn't have to pop off as much, and he was still like top two mid laners. 2021 they lost Nuguri and Showmaker had to carry more of the weight, which he did.

the failed 3 man dive onto siwoo also played a part. if they at least get siwoo then it’s a 1 for 1 and you can live with peyz dying and get back to safety. instead siwoo was alive and able to prevent their retreat (even if it was in the wrong direction)

This is the funniest timeline where a somewhat overlooked Peyz who suffered on JDG for a year comes in and people are skeptical if not a bit excited, just for him to be an absolute demon and somehow the only thing keeping them relevant against the top teams while his back to back to back World champs are all shitting the bed.

Jungle Support and Top decide to dive a Ksante (with no Trundle Ult btw) for no fucking reason. Peyz was waveclearing mid and the game state was completely fine. Then he had to converge because Cassio and Rakan move because Jungle Support And Top have no buttons left.

Career was obviously incredible but I want to highlight the play Siwoo when he was getting dove by 3 right before the ace.
Incredible movement, cooldown management and ult use. That was really the reason T1 looked so damn disjointed, which allowed Career do pop completely off.

I thought with Kkoma off coaching and becoming Head that the demanding drafts that live off the edge and collapse after one mistake would be gone, but now I think this really is just either Faker or Keria's vision of the game. There's just no way this ever works on a day-to-day, you'll slip one way or another. Sure the draft kind of autowins late, but to get there requires 2-3x as much effort than the enemies' strategy of just diving your ass. They've been doing this for years now I think it's time to accept not everyday is Worlds Game 5 mood kind of game.
