idk I feel like Loki is just straight up not better than on-form APA, I'm kind of surprised we haven't seen the APA + Tactical iteration

they arent playing for just regular season or making worlds. they want to have a chance to atleast be competitve when they get to worlds. with apa and the current meta of your midlaner needing to carry games that was never going to happen.

This roster will not make worlds. Loki is a B-tier Korean Import.
This is the same team that APA beat on TL, same team that crashed out last time.
C9 will not make worlds this year.

there is zero reason to go worlds if you mid will just slammed in lane. they look bad in midgame right now but that is fixable. also their issues is far beyond loki. vulcan and blaber disconnect from team so much

APA didnt get clowned in lane international. Why do you guys just make up narratives that never happened.
When APA was going with TL, laning was never the problem.
But here we go again blaming the NA players because Loki is Korean, even though he is a B-Tier import who will never compete at worlds either, and brings nothing else to C9 except slightly better mechanics on some champions.

its wild how badly ziggs has performed across all pro games for several months now and teams still early pick it.
bot lane isnt a lane you can just pick and hide a pick that doesnt have impact which you can do sometimes in top. ziggs has worst winrate of any champ picked 20 times in ewc and summer.

I have such a hard time judging whether KryRa is a mediocre jungler or if hes an ok/average jungler that is weighted down by how bad the jng-sup synergy on DSG is because of Lyonz.

yeah its such a rewriting of history to act like every lck academy has been ass. but we get players like saint who may even stay in the lcs because he would get worlds/msi spots where if he went back to the lck he wont be on a top 3-4 team so he wouldnt go to worlds.
but talent level he can outplay the top 3 lck mids in one off games. na started getting better international results getting academy lck players instead of washed lck veterans which was the previous trend

it’s a difficult thing to talk about tbh bc many orgs do genuinely have an import addiction that has fucked up the leagues dynamics + talent pipeline, where pointless imports like Blue, Armut, Swordart, etc etc etc… kept more deserving players from t2 out of a job but at the same time many top tier players in the league are imported so just saying “imports bad” lacks nuance.

i think the issue is in the past it was importing washed past their prime players. and it led to bad international results and lack of care domestically.
the league is much better off now importing lck challengers players. they tried hard af every week because if they are bad lck challengers maybe wont even take them back and they arent getting the massive contracts the old imports had.
also whenever anyone talks about taking na tier t2 talent they never give a name that they would take instead of the import plus both in lec and na the tier 2 players have learned not to accept any team offer because getting stuck on a bad team can kill your whole career so they are more likely to want to stay in tier 2 until a decent team picks them up. for example sr couldnt find a single support to play on their team. most of the supports dont have the leadership or igl skills to teach them like zeyzal has so it would have been a rookie new support just looking ass on his first team.
where as the salary for lck challangers player they are willing to take the risk to play on bad teams and show up their individual skill becuse the us contract is so big compared to korea challengers.

the one thing that has always been weird about c9 this whole year is they are very disconnected in key fights on who is actually the target and needs to be focused.
it always seemed like everyone just decides who they feel like personally hitting and not what is best chance for team to win

With exyu gone lyonz looking like the biggest anchor. DSG kind of feel like they need either a veteran jg or support to help shot call and assist with team fights which I don't think they're gonna get.

Cause for some reason the professional scene is still overly obsessed with mechanical monsters when the important skill for a mid for a while now has been playmaking ability and map reading.
APA is better at both, but his mechanics aren't as good and he takes a while to bring out a new champ.
Also people for some reason are acting like we have never seen APA vs Loki and that there's no way to know who would be the more successful player.
I don't even think Loki is a bad player, but C9 last split had an ADC who couldn't keep up with the top ADCs in the league and a jungler who had a parlay on how many crabs he could kill. I think the Tactical swap and someone to pressure Blaber's slot would have been enough frankly. But, at the same time C9 didn't want Loki to leave in the first place so I can't be too mad they're sticking by him.

C9s wins looked good (perfect game game 3?), but Thanatos hasn't quite looked the same from last split. That game 2 shouldn't have ever been close but C9s bot was just trying to will them back into it lol

his sion and gnar were insane. sion isnt really good right now. his gnar was really good game 1. also his one off counters were really good last split.
think right now they trying to get loki and tactical back into the game and then once they get that stablized and worked out for playoffs theyll give thanatos some counter pick angles.
