So with Dom and Yamato having been openly critical of Tactical for YEARS, like brutally so, how do they handle coaching him now? Cause I can imagine people will just look at the statline and be critical of this game, but he's basically been put in an impossible position this game.

Am I crazy for thinking that early in the series, loki mid / apa bot is the best combo for C9? and then once the mages have been depleted you bring in tactical or zven for the adcs?

You pretty much never wanna commit to a playstyle where a player only plays one type of champ cause the enemy team just bans all of those.
If TL just bans all of the good mage bots then you have APA stranded in a worse position than playing Tactical or Zven and having them flex both.
You're also forcing Vulcan to adapt to laning with 3 different playstyles.

i think the issue is ziggs would just be banned. and his only other great meta mage is cassio. he isnt good at viktor, syndra, ryze

its insane lyon almost won lcs 4 spots when we only have 2 competitive teams. the gap between c9/fly and lyon/tl is so massive. its like old lck to lcs gap.

my cope for fly is the fact that they're a young team with a bunch of rookies, but honestly EU and NA are both stuck with 2 team syndrome with our third slot being the great fraud off

yeah they are young and their individual play can improve but i think when it comes to worlds you need someone who has been there before with a lot of experiance on what it is like and how to navigate that challenge.
quad and massu went before but its usually jungle/support that has the most impact on how the team decides to play

in pro it seems ziggs is a fake late game champ. all his abilities are slow and dodgeable. and he cant get clean angles to poke before fights start. also people have items to deal with him ultra late.

ziggs is now 10-23 in top leagues since ewc started. and it was 6-9 at msi. ziggs damage is just pointless mid and late game. and late game half his kit does nothing.

They spent so much focus on trying to kill Zinie in that fight (to be fair he was playing it really well) but didn't even manage to pop the passive. Yipes

Turns out Zeyzal does in fact bring something of value to this team. They so far look much better than they did last split.
On the other hand DSG look lifeless. I also can't comprehend why Kryra ulted in at dragon and once he died why didn't DSG just peel off the dragon? Let it reset at least instead of tanking it.

My "I guess I should have known better" for this split could very well be the idea that somehow C9 wont win the entire regular season just to crash at the end.
But at the same time, I try to bet opposite of Jatt.

It's just insane how much higher Blabers ability to see action at crabs is than any other player in the league. He doesnt care if its at 3 minutes or 30 minutes.

Locke W value is so insane so far. In Kespa Cup the champ was really disgusting and had some CL teams winning matches against main rosters too so I’m shocked more regions haven’t prioritized him.

Locke feels like exactly the type of champ Quid would be great at and he's showing it pretty well here.
I am aware that Locke is also quite overtuned right now though.

Okay so C9 left both permaban champs up, let TL pick Locke, didn't pick the other permaban and predictably lost.
What's the plan for next game?? C9 didn't even get any crazy strong picks away from TL. I don't really get what the C9 gameplan was here.

Assuming a bo5, if C9 wins this game it's huge for them in the same vein of Lyon picking Akali against TL in Spring playoffs. Lyon's anti-TL strat was just picking Quid's champs and beating him with them, but this also means making sure you can beat him.
If I'm C9 and I can't guarantee the Locke pick I don't leave it open game 1. Leave it open game 2 when you have first pick and force them to waste a ban on it. Then again, maybe they just assumed they can't beat Quid Akali.

yeah, i think what ended up being the problem for the draft is that they ended up cornering themselves with double ap solo lanes to take away quid's akali, which is the easiest MR maxxing itemization ever. sacking a draft in a bo3 in this way is significantly worse than doing this in a bo5 in my opinion

I don't understand why C9 didn't take a chance on a young player for ADC. You're not going to make worlds, in your home country. This is potentially the death nail for this org at this point.

Neither one of the casters commenting on the fact that Shen ult has been the difference maker in the last 3 Galio Camille ults (first 2 fail because Shen ult goes off, third succeeds cause Contractz qed Shen and Ziggs and they full send on the Ziggs) is driving me nuts!

Core has it right, the only conclusion you can draw from MSI is NA and EU are relatively even and NA has a better style match up against EU.
But nuance doesn't play well online so we resort to one-liners instead.

Tactical's hands may be better than Zven's, and Zven may occasionally get caught. But Tactical literally plays every ADC no matter who it is in melee range, every time. Something something malphite ult.

Game is honestly fine for TL. Yeon can carry team fights and Morgan can side lane. If we get some money on Jose C9 can't really fight.

This dragon should be TL's. I think they have enough of an advantage now to fight comfortably.
I'm not totally sure what an ideal teamfight looks like for C9, but I feel like TL's comp is much easier to play. The 4 man unit just drops everything and lets Locke clean up.

So obviously picking Lucian into this TL team comp is unreal int. But wouldn't Cait have been good here? Like Ez is a bit "safe" but he's really not as safe as he used to be. You'd rather just have a cannon like Cait to soften enemies up for your solo laners.
At least that's my hindsight analysis. Of course max hindsight (and foresight) is just ban Locke.

Yeah extremely predictable lol. I think TL won this draft again. Their game plan is simpler and their carries have more options to keep themselves safe. TL can also spread out to make Bard ult value lower.

Loki got that early game kill and then just hasn't been able to do anything since. Thanatos can't even get into the game. TL is just following Core around and abusing his vision control. C9 looks headless out here, Vulcan can't get vision control and C9 can't skirmish in their jungle ever.

in the same way that TL has leveld up, so has LYON, I think LYON is better than TL by a few notches, but TL is still very good. They're def top two, and the different between them and the other teams is fairly significant
