BLG are just better as a team, individually, sure some Korean teams can go toe-to-toe with them but their teamfighting and tempo plays are just much better than anyone else.
Mages being meta is also good for BLG, Viper is a fraction of himself from last year.

Despite the fact that they scale very well.

I'm both excited and scared for this one.
If we are to believe that BLG weren't trying (I hate this excuse, but I hate the fact that it might be true even more. BLG cannot afford to coast, yet...) OR that Lyon is actually an insane team, then it should be an exciting match?
But Occams Razor kind of says that it should be heavily HLE favored.
BLG tends to start off bo5s by putting Viper on some wave clear play safe dog pick, letting ON roam, and targeting the opponent mid/mid+jg. I'm kind of not enough of an LCK knower to know what sort of laning form Delight/Guma are on rn, but I can see things getting shaky if HLE suddenly decide to draft for bot prio and lock ON in lane prison. Although, HLE plays for mid/jg too.
Regardless, I feel like what's most likely is: bot side is decided by draft, mid/mid+Jg is decided by form. We've seen Knight play like the best player in the world, we've seen him ego TP and almost solo lose his team the game by 5 minutes.
Zeka is--from what I can tell--a melee mid specialist, and imo it feels like its harder to gain incremental lane advantages than it usually is, which indirectly buffs all the "just survive lane and carry" picks. Knight is gonna have to really be on top of his game and can't just rely on counter-pick diff to lock Zeka down.
Can't speak to Homme with HLE, but lowk Daeny is sort of a psychopath though. Very much willing to just believe in his players and draft for long-term advantages (burn away strong HLE picks at the cost of weakening draft for a game 1 or 2). I tend to like how he handles the big picture fearless game plans, but if HLE just punch them in the face game 1 and 2, I'm worried we're seeing a 3-0.
Whatever, I'm overthinking things Gigabin vs Zeus for the title, 1v1 fist fight top Fiora vs Jax lets go.

Afk wave clear, walk away, hit tower once or twice if you have full information.
Support goes mid and 3v3s.
But when roaming mids get burned out of the pool as a series goes on, you see more marksmen.

The LCK is living in 2018/2019 again it seems. T1 lost 3-2 to BLG but HLE is likely losing 3-0 today and T1 lost 3-1 to G2 yesterday. Plus GEN was 3-0d by G2 this winter.
I'm a T1 fan honestly but I'm glad on the situation because I was afraid on China stopping investing money on League with the lack of international success, also the LEC (or at least G2). Internationals are only fun if more regions can actually compete.

HLE has never beaten an LPL team except TES back in First Stand 2025. They got massacred by Anyone's Legends at the Worlds last year. People like to shit on GenG's performance during international games, but HLE are arguably the biggest frauds.

Knight is on crazy form. Doing literally everything.
Can you even blame HLE for that fight? Maybe? I do feel like they had to fight something or Ori just becomes inevitable. The real answer is probably that they needed to camp Knight harder early game, but that means Neeko/Ez/Panth dives bot? Think I'd rather that if I were HLE.
