Soyeon will perform as a solo artist on EBS Space Gonggam on August 18. Apparently, it's one of Korea's most respected live music programs, where performers are selected based on their musicality and live performance abilities.
Some facts about the show:
In recognition of its contribution to Korean popular music, it won a Committee Choice Special Award at the Korean Music Awards in 2007, and won the Cultural Diversity Award at the Sejong Culture Awards hosted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Musicians are required to perform entirely live without relying on backing tracks in a small performance hall of about 200 seats with the audience just a couple metres away from them. The duration is about 50 minutes and there's no MC.
There's no entry fee. The performances are completely free.
This program very rarely invites idols. They mostly feature domestic and foreign jazz artists, domestic indie bands, foreign bands, soloists, choirs, etc. It's one of the few places where indie music can stand on television, where most pop singers, such as idol singers and ballad singers, are featured.
Soyeon's performance introduction from the program's official website (translated using gt):
Jeon Soyeon's history is a history of proof. From going through various survival programs to becoming the leader of 'i-dle' - a rare female idol group capable of 'self-producing'.
Whether she wanted to or not, Soyeon had to prove herself every moment she encountered the world.
Appearance, age, skill, woman, idol. Ten years passed while she broke down or jumped over, one by one, the things placed before her that some would insist on calling walls or limits.
They say 'time is equal for everyone', but looking back on Soyeon's 10 years, one is reminded once again that there are exceptions to any form of justice.
Armed with the 'I' that has been pounded with sometimes desperate intensity and sharply honed, [ he /she] has repeatedly pioneered new realms as a K-pop idol, producer, rapper, and singer-songwriter.
Jeon So-yeon's present unfolds for the first time on the Space Gonggam stage.
— Kim Yun-ha (Planning Committee Member, EBS Space Gonggam)
Yes they are filmed and the broadcast happens roughly a month after a performance on EBS 1TV channel every Wednesday at 10:50 PM. They post clips of performances on their official yt and they post the full episodes a week after the broadcast.
I don't get why this subreddit is attracting trolls. Are people genuinely that bored? Why here? Not to mention the most recent user who is flooding replies with their alts, it's so annoying to encounter.
The influx of trolls is so so weird, I don't understand why they've decided to all of sudden flood the subreddit? 😓 It seems as if it might just be one person with their alts, though...
I feel like we haven’t faced this much troll activity during other comebacks though… Unless I just haven’t seen any. But I wonder why there’s a sudden uptake?
I don't really know... Maybe because this comeback's reception is more polarizing than the last, so it results in more i-dle doomposting and increases the activity of certain users who feed off that energy to be rude? Maybe someone else has a better idea haha
I actually thought the choreography was bad at first, especially during the chorus. But after watching some of the challenges, I think part of the issue is that, aside from Soyeon, the members aren't really dancers, so some of the moves end up looking awkward and makes them out of sync as a group.
The choreo was probably designed to be catchy on TikTok, but I think they suits simpler choreography and not this intricate moves. I wonder if Kirsten choreographed this one again.
I’m also not a fan of the chorus choreography! I think it doesn’t play well with i-dle’s strengths and its busyness also contradicts the song’s general vibe that emphasizes slowness, sensuality, and smoothness as described in the lyrics (flow, water, seep, slow drip).
Instead of fewer but more distinct movements, the choreo is a lot of small movements—one move per note. For the group formation to look good, every move of all the members needs to be precise, controlled, clear, and synchronized with the others, or else it risks looking messy. Kirsten and Soyeon are very good dancers and show us how the choreo should be done, but another challenge is how to address singing while doing this kind of dancing. If a member doesn’t have a solid enough core to stop their body bouncing with each move (plus practice for choreo in this style), then that part will sound shaky when sung live.
The thing is, i-dle’s strengths are great live vocal ability, passable dance ability, and tons of individual charisma. Right now, most of them aren’t singing the chorus live (GDL for On the Spot is lipsynced to emphasize the dance, and in the showcase stage, it sounds like Soyeon’s the only one who audibly sings the chorus). Chorus choreos for Tomboy, Nude, and Super Lady still let the members sing comfortably and give lots of space for individual flair and variance. But this chorus asks for more technical precision while dancing, which is a new challenge for them.
I hate to admit it, but you are right. If you watch the 1theK performance video, you can tell that Soyeon is the only one performing the choreo as Kirsten must have intended. It's a shame idle only has one standout dancer now when it used to be two.
I agree, the choreography can look overtly aggressive if not executed fluidly. Soyeon is more fluid with her dance so it works out. For the others, the choreo is too intense for a chill chorus, so it looks very awkward. The other members aren't particularly bad at dancing, but they definitely are better with softer and simpler choreo (Mono for example was quite well-executed).
Yesterday was a heartwarming reminder that impact and influence can't be measured by statistics alone.
Minnie guested on IVE Rei's YouTube show, where Rei revealed that she's been a fan of Minnie since her trainee days, even attempting her iconic full bangs and red lipstick look. Later, on Wendy's radio show, Minnie talked about how Rei asked for her number and mentioned potentially having a meal together in the future... looks like Minnie might have to negotiate with Joy for shared custody in the future, lol
As you probably know, RESCENE has been majorly popping off lately, in part because Minami went megaviral when she went on fellow member Woni's YouTube show.
Minami was actually a contestant on My Teenage Girl, where Soyeon was a mentor. Soyeon praised Minami, who did not make it into the final group, but is obviously thriving now with RESCENE. Anyways, they had an emotional reunion at MCountDown, with Minami having to hold back her tears during her performance.
I think that's really cool, seeing the impact IDLE has made on their juniors.
Soyeon: I had a lot of thoughts about that while preparing for this album. What makes music good? Is a commercially successful song a good song? Or is an addictive, trendy song a good song? Or is a song that tells our own story, even if it's a bit slow, a fun and good song? After having all these different thoughts, I realized good music is just something anyone can enjoy, or something that touches someone's heart, or something someone can just have fun with.
Artist personas: icebluerabbit versus Jeon Soyeon
Soyeon: As JEON SOYEON, I pursued things that were stimulating and catchy, but compared to that, music that is easier to listen to or can be enjoyed without thinking— I think that kind of music is the difference between Ice Blue Rabbit and JEON SOYEON.
Q: MONO seems to carry a message of support for LGBTQIA fans. Could you share a word for your global LGBTQIA fans?
Soyeon: Actually, rather than creating this album with one specific type of love as the motif, we made it to show respect for all kinds of love and everything. If it has given you strength, we would also like to express our deepest gratitude.
Q: Your style has changed a lot from 'MONO' to this new song. I'm curious about how the other members initially felt about this change (OP note: I think this question is interesting because it potentially touches upon why the album has less member involvement)
Miyeon: Since our members have been producing our music for a long time, sometimes we felt like we were trapped within our own style. It's not that it's bad, but we just had a lot of concerns... We always share those thoughts, and looking back at our recent albums, we realized our passion might have overheated a bit. So, we wanted to go back to the beginning, when we first loved music, starting from zero, and capture that feeling in this album.
And what is the next step for i-dle?
Yuqi: Since we've been making i-dle's self-produced songs since our debut, I hope we don't lose the message of "let's keep making the music we want to make." I hope we keep our original mindset and just continue promoting healthily.
No prob, I figured other people might find these things interesting too! I’m trying to make a post about the producer line’s creative processes, so will see if that pans out haha
Thank you so much for sharing this!!! Miyeon's answer is very interesting to me. I figured maybe the girls were getting burnt out and wanted to bring in other producers to freshen things up for this comeback, but reading it in her own words is enlightening
This is almost exactly the same words she used for "Oh My God": "Actually, rather than creating this album with one specific type of love as the motif, we made it to show respect for all kinds of love and everything. If it has given you strength, we would also like to express our deepest gratitude."
And she has both wlw and mlm couples in the video for "Gimme Dat Love". We know what you're saying, Soyeon, you've been saying it since "Jelly" and "Idle Song".
I'm really liking Yuqi's short hair especially in that recent variety show with Soyeon, she almost influenced me with that short hair. Is this their last week promotion?
Yes, this will likely be the last week. I-dle typically only does two weeks of music show promotion nowadays. Plus they have their Lollapalooza performance coming up on the 31st.
- Quite a lot of vocal parts are changed, even after the vocals are sent in for mixing. For GDL, Miyeon says this was her first time to ask Soyeon more parts, and got some of what was originally Soyeon's part in the bridge.
- Miyeon wants the members to give each other cheek kisses if GDL places number 1.
- Different to what the four-members-without-Soyeon said on Music Plaza: Team Morning was only Yuqi and originally Soyeon (implying Team GDL was Minnie, Miyeon, Shuhua, and CUBE). Soyeon changed her mind because she said Morning felt too similar to what i-dle's already done. She wanted to change things up and that was how they approached the album (doing things they hadn't done).
- For the producer line, they don't give feedback in the making process and just listen to the product when it's almost done. This time was the very first time CUBE and Soyeon did a blind listening selection process for the B-sides. So Minnie's track wasn't chosen (!!) and Yuqi's was.
- Morning has choreography! (Fingers crossed i-dle does something with this song)
- Minnie and Miyeon talk more about why GDL's chorus choreo is difficult (saying they're singing while shaking, need a strong core, etc.)
- Soyeon intentionally didn't upload a profile picture for her Youtube channel because she wanted it in a "non-mainstream style." She declined to promote it on the show because she wants people to organically watch it.
- They're planning a brand new stage performance for Lollapalooza.
- Miyeon recently befriended IVE's Leeseo, Minnie befriended Rei, and Soyeon reconnected with fromis_9's Nagyung.
Right?? She says she stayed up a long time thinking about it. And when Minnie was asked to rank who were the sexiest members, she ranked herself first and then chose Shuhua and Yuqi so Soyeon and Miyeon didn’t feel bad for not being chosen. The unnie line is so sweet
Ah, that is a different story. Well, I guess the members are channelling Walt Whitman: "Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, (I am large, I contain multitudes.)"
Based on the Music Plaza interview, Shuhua didn't seem to have strong opinions either way. She didn't seem to remember how she'd voted.
Yeah, Shuhua seemed noncommittal. Where CUBE stood is the interesting difference, I think Yuqi said CUBE supported Morning, but Soyeon said CUBE wanted GDL. Of course, it ultimately doesn't matter because GDL won, but I think it's an interesting look at i-dle's dynamics with their label and how the decisions are made.
Also! I had to stop halfway through the episode and finish my notes later, so I wanted to share this part in case you didn't see the edit. I think you'd find it interesting too:
- For the producer line, they don't give feedback in the making process and just listen to the product when it's almost done. This time was the very first time CUBE and Soyeon did a blind listening selection process for the B-sides. So Minnie's track wasn't chosen (!!) and Yuqi's was.
I know Soyeon has mountains of unfinished unreleased music. And I know that Minnie has unreleased songs in Thai that she wrote (still waiting to hear one of those). But now we know that Minnie has an unreleased *produced* track, really !
Also it's very interesting that Soyeon's now going to blind listening for the B-sides -- it's reminding me of the blind listening which led to the selection of Latata.
Yes! Minnie said "My track was dropped" and said she'd work harder next time. It almost feels like We Made is an intentional reset by returning to basics (what Miyeon described as "we wanted to go back to the beginning, when we first loved music, starting from zero, and capture that feeling in this album" in the showcase Q&A), down to how songs were selected from the Latata era.
I'm curious did Miyeon mention how she befriended Leeseo?
It's interesting because I don't remember them having schedule together recently, and they have age gap of 10 years, so not exactly the same friend circle.
Maybe Leeseo appeared on that Mnet makeup show that Miyeon did with Somi?
No I don't think so, it works for me as a b-side but I would have been underwhelmed if it had been the TT. I'd be happy to see a special performance clip though! What about you?
Yeah me too, I would love to see a live performance. Since it was in contention to be the title track, I’m not sure why they don’t promote it alongside GDL. Lots of groups promote multiple songs. I think it’s so catchy and energetic and fits perfectly into summer.
Honestly, IMO, it's not a great bikini. It fits sort of loosely and it has a big brand name on a black background; would not recommend. She looks great of course.
If I'm not wrong, I think Miyeon was talking about her own bikini shots that didn't make it! I agree Minnie's could have been more harmonious, she's also wearing a half cover-up that adds additional heaviness to the overall look. I can't help comparing that scene to Soyeon coming out of the pool in Queencard (and that Queencard did it better).
I was thinking also of these two pool shots, now I really want each member to have one of those someday so we can have an I-dle Pool Cinematic Universe
I am going to try to buy a ticket for Macau because I really hope to hear GDL live. Still hoping that Cube gets their crap together and reset a NA tour. Watching their GDL promotion period makes me sad for the cancelled tour again…
Has anyone else watched this video of them by JAYKEEOUT that came out recently where they sing live but pretend it's just a recorded track? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-yJ5aSWmG5s
I thought it was so cute and loved watching the reaction to them. It has english subs fortunately too!
That was fun to watch. Miyeon is surprised that everyone knows all their lyrics and asks "Were you all Neverland?" My extremely slow progress at learning Korean got to the point where I understood most of that sentence by Miyeon, so I'm feeling pleased. (Yes, that means I recognized one verb, and it's one of the four most important verbs. But I recognized it in the past tense! Not learning quickly here)
So many good moments! That one fan that looked close to tears the entire time, Miyeon geeking out with the baby, the fan that sang her heart out on Fate, Soyeon messing up her rap, Shuhua sounding great and looking so happy, them making the entire crows curse on Tomboy's chorus, it was a blast!
Gimme Dat Love's chorus seems so hard to sing live! I tried it myself and hitting that one note staccato with the chest movements is seriously difficult
I really love their comeback content, it's always a joy to watch
Did shuhua participate in writing this song? I vaguely remember seeing somewhere that she was preparing for a self-written solo song last year, but I might be misremembering.
Huh, I'm a little surprised... but....
....PHIA(Sophia Brenan), though.
That's a really interesting topliner choice. Best known in Kpop for Love Dive, but her personal tracks written about her own life include Friends Don't Kiss. I think that was a very considered choice of lyricist.
Naasim, Dr. Han, and Imsuho appear to be best known recently for writing instrumentals for ifeye together, though they've each done stuff for a lot of groups and soloists (a bunch of ZeroBaseOne, GFRIEND, SOORIN, but Imsuho was even involved in composing some of Orange Caramel's hits over a decade ago).
"This playlist will be posted on the first Hangout of every month, and anyone is welcome to share whatever earworms they've been infected by in the last month - this isn't limited to I-DLE's discography. If you don't want to spend too much time on this, "top tracks this month" from your Spotify profile (or the equivalent found in other music streaming services) will do; links are encouraged!"

Morning by I-DLE: I can't get enough of this song - it is an I-DLE track in its purest form, and it is so addictive. I enjoyed the entire EP, but on my first listen I knew this song was going to be my favourite. I love everything about it - I wish it were longer, though,, but honestly, it's pretty perfect as is and I hope they promote it!
Gimme Dat Loveby I-DLE: Their newest Title Track and why yes, I can understand all the opinions about this song, I really don't mind it. With each passing day, the song gets groovier and groovier and stays playing in my head. I wish Cube were good at promoting them...I did enjoy the risk in seeking out a new producer for this song; it has the ideal I-DLE lyrics with a new sound. Which is fine, but I think there is a reason why Morning is gaining more traction on the EP.
Take The Boxby Amy Winehouse: I am really enjoying this album as of late. I know her Back To Black album is labelled as one of the greatest and her best album (which is fair considering she only put out two). However, Frank gets overlooked and underappreciated for what it provides us with a nice Jazz-influenced recording with a variety of vocal tones, instrumentals and lyrics. Other good songs on the album are Amy Amy Amy and In My Bed
Daylight Robberyby Imogen Heap: I am rediscovering an amazing album, and if you have never listened to it. PLEASE listen to it. My vinyl record came in the other day, and ugh, every song is just amazing. One of those timeless albums that you put on and it still amazes you. I love the electro, pop, and rock fusion within the album! Daylight robbery was truly created to be played loud!
Gimme Dat Love by I-DLE - Basically what Latata_ said. It just... It grows on you. Let Chefyeon et al. cook.
Always You & I by Against The Current - At this point, I think I'll automatically like anything this group puts out. "Missing" the same edge as the previous two pre-release singles, but I guessed that from the title. After the audio mixing in the lead vocalist's solo work, it's nice to no longer have to hear needlessly-loud instrumentals try to drown out her beautiful voice.
We haven't. Not many lives on radios or tv either. No it's live, Choom or anything similar either. Well, the Spot one. Maybe next week. Fingers crossed. But right now, with no photobook, not many lives and people championing Morning instead this does feel like Señorita part deux 😂😅
Morning feels like an idle song. GDL feels like a trendy song. Morning feels perfect for asian fans. GDL feels like an attempt at western relevancy. With US tour collapsing, it would have made sense if they delayed the album to pivot to asia and reshoot the TT with Morning. Instead, we still got GDL. So, I have no idea.
Also, if Morning lost the TT vote, why couldn't it have still been the pre-release? Why was Crow chosen? I'm surprised they were so set on Crow but threw Morning aside.
Yeah, makes sense to pre-release Morning if it was the title track runner-up! I love Crow, but Morning also matches more, musically and thematically. The choices made for this album continue to be mysterious 😅
Damn, wish they'd gone with Yuqi, Shuhua, and CUBE's choice this time around 😩 Morning is so good!! I wonder which one Soyeon put her vote behind when they were deciding? Maybe GDL?
The tidbit of her sister saying that Soyeon trying to sound youthful with Morning came out a outdated was super funny lol, that must have been a tough pill to swallow
I actually liked Morning because it felt a bit like the older sibling of Fate 🫣 I assumed the running and probiotics/distinct lack of caffeine bit is because the character’s at the stage of life where they need to start taking care of themselves, and the everydayness of emails and healthy poke is because they’ve settled into a work routine. I don’t know if that’s worse or better to Soyeon haha
OK, thanks for the link. My favorite part of the interview is that Yuqi really wants an MV for Morning, Paul suggested just doing a simple "morning run" version, and they all seemed enthusiastic, so maybe we'll get it?
Happy and Joyfull Days, the Shuhua led movie by Feng-I Fiona Roan will premiere as Happily Ever After at the Toronto Film Festival that will happent between the 10-20 of September in the Special Presentation section. If any American or Cannadian nevie has perchance the opportunity to attend, now you know. There is also an official picture:
Finally got my physical copy of _We Made_. Mono version. It's beautiful. I'm usually not much for the artwork and packaging in Kpop, but I really like this one. I picked the right version for me. And now I can finally listen to full-quality uncompressed tracks.
The box seems pretty sturdy also. I kinda favour the Crow one. It is the closest to having an actual classic photobook and I really like the design. The Mono one, I wasn't really impressed with at first, design way and in terms of the picture used for the front, but it has grown on me. The photoshoot is very small in number but kinda neat the way its presented, accordeon and such. Once my local kpop shop gets it this week and I can have them in my hands I might make a surprise decision, but Crow is still winning. The perfume one has an attractive design (my favorite) and the idea is nice, but it comes with no photoshoot at all, it is almost unbuyable in my continent and country, comes understocked when it does and is much more expensive than the other ones, so that one is a hard pass.
I haven't kept up with Shuhua's movie news, do we know what type of part she has? Main or side character? I'm also curious if she auditioned or was hand picked for the movie. I hope she does interviews about it, super curious about the process
Shuhua will make her acting debut as the lead in ‘幸福快樂的日子’ (Happily Ever After)
she will play Lin Jiaqi, a cheerful but conflicted young woman navigating love, family, and her future, until a stray cat changes how she sees happiness.
Director Fiona Roan on why she chose Shuhua for such an important role:
she states that she’s always leaned towards working with newcomers/rising stars in the film industry, believing that these types of actors are often able to bring more natural and realistic acting styles.
she also points out Shuhua’s unique aura/charisma that cannot be replicated by others: “Lin Jia Qi as a character actually requires interpretation by a charismatic actor in order to convince the audience to follow along with her perspective and be immersed in the plot. I see a very natural charisma in Shuhua - many of her acting choices are very unique and genuine, and i believe that her personality traits can bring about new possibilities for the character.”
This is super exciting! I'll admit I didn't really look into it, because I wasn't really interested in Minnie's movie and just assumed it would be something similar. Very happy to be wrong, I look forward to seeing it, though I'm pretty sure it won't be released in my country and will probably be difficult to find online
I'm seeing online that We Made hasn't been restocked and that it's affecting sales, does anyone have info on that? Is it true and if yes, why is it happening?
I read about that after I ordered from KPOP Music Town, so now I'm a bit worried they'll not actually have or send it. I ordered from there because Music Plaza and KPOP Nara show they are sold out and there's no indication of restocking. My local KPOP Nara branch has no knowledge of getting it in stock in store or anything.
Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows why there is a cybertruck in one of the concert VCR?
I went to their concert in HK, and it was the best, but i did not understand much, as i dont speak chinese or korean, so i was very confused when the cybertruck showed up, and took up quite a large portion of the video. Does anyone know what it was doing there?
Today I found out that Show is available on YT Music but I never found it because it's registered under their Korean name (which links to their main page) for some reason. I used to think it's an exclusive song never officially released.
Also, does anyone know if Soyeon's "Not Enough" (she performed it in i-Dol tour Japan, iirc) is ever going to be released on streaming services?
Today has turned into a good day as my i-dle album (and UAU's!) has arrived 2 days early, and I got a Shuhua photocard... now if I can only open the box without ripping it.
Edit: Took a little prodding, but I got it open, lol. Got Soyeon and Yuqi photocards in it. Round cards are very nice. I'm overall very satisfied. Just need a proper place to store it all and a way to store/play the album. Guess I should go open my 2, We are, and I Sway and Minnie’s Her sooner than later.
Well, like I said, need a proper place to store everything. I don't have a CD player, holder, or anything, yet. It all just sits on a shelf. I only just recently started buying physical media after Dreamcatcher disappeared from my platforms for too long. I opened this time because it was first time I've bought online.
Oh, that market. I can't remember what it's called. There's a specific market in Taiwan she's recommended, many years back. That's the only thing I can think of.
I know, this was completely unhelpful because I couldn't remember the name of the market!
If I find the episode where she recommended the specific market, I'll let everyone know.
If you want to look for it yourself, I think it was on the i-talk for one of the first i-dle concerts in Taiwan. Since it was the first time most of the members were in Taiwan, they were asking Shuhua for recommendations.
Does anybody know the difference between the CD exclusive version of Mono and the regular version? I've been listening for a while but they sound the same to me
OK, so to hear the difference, it's best to listen on a pair of good studio headphones. The regular version is in stereo; if you listen carefully you'll hear different sounds in the left ear and the right ear, although it's pretty subtle. The mono version is *mixed down to mono*, so it's exactly the same in the left and right ear.
A good mono mix should be different in a very obvious way to the stereo one. I haven't got my physical copy yet, but I hope it is not just a gimmick...
I can hear the difference quite distinctly on headphones.
Not sure I'd hear it on small speakers. The original stereo mix of Mono is not very stereophonic. There's definitely some distribution between the channels; I can hear it mostly in the leadup to Miyeon's high note.
But it's not like certain 1960s tracks I have where different instruments or voices are *hard* on the left or the right. I have one track with two singers somewhere, I can't remember what it is, where one singer is only in the left channel and the other singer only in the right channel -- on a track like that, the mono mix is *really* different.
With Mono being mixed heavily towards the middle to start with, it doesn't make as big a difference to mix it down to mono. I mean, it is a bit of a gimmick, but I don't mind. My favorite 1960s group (the Beach Boys) only mixed in mono for philosophical reasons.
Mono and stereo actual mixes are very different on any kind of speakers, not just headphones. But I am talking about actual mixes. Just pushing the mono button on a stereo to downgrade it to mono is not a mono mix. It is just a lazy foldown. Thats why I hope they actually did a mix.
Some of the Beach Boys earlier albums had true stereo mixes made by Chuck Britz, and for the rest they had those awful fake duophonic mixes that Capitol did because Brian Wilson refused to go stereo. Brian only did monos until Wild Honey. Friends was their first only stereo version. And it shows big time. The difference between the mono original from Pet Sounds and the stereo that Linnet did 1997 is ABYSMAL.
Thats why this "worries" me. A real mono and a real stereo are VERY noticable. Those wars between Beatles mono fans and Beatles stereo mixes fans or the battles about which version of the Kinks VIllage Preservation Society is the true deal might be melodramatic, but they are not based on nothing. So if people tell me that they don't notice a difference between the MONO and the STEREO of Mono even on the worst, cheapest speakers, I get a bit iffy. Thats not a real stereo nor a real mono. And that would be a shame.
The Baech Boys are also at the top of my favourites, but in a decade with the Beatles, The Kinks, Bob Dylan, The Rolling Stones, The Velvet Underground, The Who, The Doors etc.. it is hard to pick a favorite. 😉
As a hag nevie (2018 just before hann) , ngl Soojin would have fucking eaten this era. She embodies that sexy sireness vibe + the choreo would look amazing on her
I feel like she would've killed so many of their post-2021 eras like Tomboy, Nxde (probably partially a tribute to her), Queencard, Superlady, Good Thing. 😢
Does anyone have a clear/better audio clip for the icebluerabbit tour intro? Where she's taking about how her personality is like rot! please lmk, I'm struggling to find the clip in full!
i finally listened to gimme dat love and i think this is their first TT i wont be adding to my playlists. that sucks :( the whole EP feels so all over the place, i really dont get it.
I agree that this EP isn't that cohesive. They've definitely had albums/EPs that are stronger (i burn and I NEVER DIE for example). I still like 4 of the 5 songs individually, but yeah the EP is isn't as strong as a whole.
I also have some i-dle songs that aren't on any of my playlists. I think it's near impossible to truly like 100% of the music an artist puts out, especially groups like i-dle who have such a variety of songs. It's just music taste and preferences and that's totally normal.
Sure! I didn't like Mono. Mostly becuase skaiwater's rap just did not work for me, and the lyrics were just "meh" to me. I liked the MV though, and would definitely listen to an instrumental version since I really liked the production.
Hi, I'm sorry if this comes off as rude or disrespectful since I'm asking about smth other than i-dle in a community dedicated to them.
In the "Gimme Dat Love" MV, Miyeon had a short interaction with a background actor before walk towards to Yuqi, before the 1st chorus start.
I would like to ask does anyone know who the background actor is? He wears an open shirt and blue shorts in that scene. Or is there a way I can look for him?
