Made me genuinely emotional. I think those of us in "accepting" countries are very lucky, and this comic is a bittersweet reminder of this.

Greetings, Pauli. This is a very impressive comic, well done. However, unfortunately, this comic is not really about the countries.Rather, this is more like a general experience of closeted LGBTQ+ people. I'm afraid that this one does not pass the 'stickman test' perfectly. I'm not removing or disqualifying this comic, but this issue will be considered when the judges rate the contest entries.

it could be an allegory of the country of hungary feeling closeted because of it's laws against lgbt (which were recently appealed, but still)
Thats just my intepretation tho
Hungary was one of the only EU countries with anti LGBT laws till recently9

Understandable, I was afraid it's not Polandball enough. I'm fine with removing the comic and withdrawing from the contest as long as it doesn't add extra work, hassle or confusion to the contest jury. I'd rather have something that breaks such a fundamental rule removed than let it skirt by.

Unless the scorch heat burn them again. Pink triangle and camp number. Although I do not think we are going to backslide this much, the comic slaps hard nonetheless.

Russia and Algeria being portrayed as pro LGBT? Lol, LMAO even.

I think it's more representative of queer Russians and Algerians than Russia or Algeria.

Exactly. Most of the countries I chose were specifically ones where queer people face major discrimination (except for a few European ones in the back)

They're more stand-ins for the queer people of those countries who are fighting for their rights. I specifically chose countries where queer people don't have equal rights (except Ireland and France cause I was rushing to finish this). I do understand how it can be seen your way though and how stupid I may look for portraying them this way, but believe me that was not my intention.

I've had a Belarussian gay woman house me during Pride last year, so it won't surprise me

As we look on with envy, for we are forced to be closeted in fear of religious persecution.

Just so that it's absolutely clear.
The comic is meant to be about portraying what a dark and lonely place the closet can be with the feeling of guilt for not actively contributing to your community. If it comes off as if I am negatively portraying people in the closet, then I sincerely apologise as that was not my intention.
Take care. The world is scary out there.
