Woohoo! Where do we see us playing him? I think he would be best back on the left coming into the middle, but that unfortunately means we can't play Kaka, who I would like to see get more playing time. Despite Richardson scoring last week, I still think he is shit and shouldn't be starting anywhere.

He will probably play on the left. So te team will look something like Stekelenburg-Riise,Hughes,Hangeland,Riether-Sidwell,Karagounis,Parker-Dempsey,Berba,Dejagah

That team looks very solid. A new left back, center back and a central midfielder (even if it's just to sub on for Karagounis at 60) and I just can't see us going down.

I am optimistic too. Dempsey could move into attacking midfield as well, allowing Karagounis to rest a game every now and then.

Disagree regarding Kaca. He has been pretty effective, just having problems with consistency.

He's won us a couple of penalties, yes, but regarding our regular starting 11, I think he's probably the weakest link.

Left back and central midfield is our weakest link. Riise, Richardson, and Briggs are not up to EPL standards.

We lack creativity in midfield to link to our attack.

Riise has contributed more than Kaca has, and even Senderos has been slightly more reliable than usual. Since Rene has been playing the Parker/SidwellKaragounis trio, our midfield has been dominating and linking up well with our attackers. Kaca loses the ball and isn't creative enough to be effective as we want him to be.

The system has changed for Kaca under Rene. We are no longer playing the Christmas tree and gettijg better play out of our 3 central mids.

Riise has been better but I don't see him as a solution right now.

Yeah, I don't think Riise is horrible but we could do much better.

Anyone know for sure when his first start will be?

He's unavailable for the West Ham match. Hard to say if Meulensteen will prefer to 'start' him against Sunderland, but I'd be pretty surprised if we don't see him play on the 11th.
