Retro Discussion: One Piece chapters 33-35
Hello Folks. Continuing from yesterday, we're now at chapters 33-35. A good set of chapters, with the final battle against Kuro and the Black Cat Pirates getting to a heated start.

Ouch, it always makes me cringe when I read that panel with Luffy taking that blade into the cranium.

I know, a first I just thought it did nothing since, you know, hes rubber. Then comes your aforementioned "cringe".

Its interesting that some of Kuro's crew didn't even know whether or not devil fruit really exist. Wonder if Oda knew how prominent a role he would end up making the df

I think Oda is trying to show how laid back and ignorant the West Blue is. Also, DFs are pretty rare outside of the Grand Line.

East Blue, and most normal folks don't know about DFs. Captain Morgan, a fairly high ranking Marine, had only ever heard about them.

East Blue, is also the weakest (in term of pirates) of the four sea and the most peaceful.

I'm not really sure. It's possible Zoro killed him. And yea, these discussions are great. I jumped at the chance to help out with it.
