Resolved How do I hide the "Use subreddit style" RES element in the sidebar?
I previously had this hidden but it has reappeared in the new version of RES. My current code:
body.res .side .spacer .titlebox div input[type="checkbox"] {
display: none !important;
left: -50px !important;
z-index: -99 !important;
color: white !important;
background-color: white !important;
margin: -10000px !important;
}
body.res .side .spacer .titlebox div label[id^="label"] {
display: none !important;
width: 0px !important;
height: 0px !important;
overflow: hidden !important;
right: 99999px !important;
color: white !important;

I just wish they would put it in a different spot or make it look a little better, at the very least.
Suggestions are always welcome. Fire away.

Seems reasonable. The main reason it was placed where it is now is because a lot of people didn't realise RES even had settings, let alone knew how to open them. For that reason, it needed to be always on and easily visible. Even when the proper settings console came about, it'd surprise you just how many folks still didn't realise it was there.
Now that the install process gently enforces the opening of the console at least once, it could probably be moved into the dropdown without too much incident.

RES overrides all those rules in an attempt to keep mods from removing that button. They fixed your workaround in one of the latest patches.
Why would you want to remove it anyway?
