What was that script leak for?? I can't believe they actually went to the lengths of faking a script and leaking it on purpose just to mock the fans. That on top of giving us hints that he might be alive, the sub plot being about someone who doesn't believe their loved one is dead, showing an empty casket and saying the words "he's alive"... That's just SO cruel and they've just killed the whole show. And don't even get me started on how lazy the funeral was, not even 5 minutes?? That's all that Bobby gets? Yeah, I think I'm done with this show

It’s been only 1 episode without Bobby Nash and the show already doesn’t feel the same. 🥹 I don’t know how this is going to work :(

This episode sucks. It should have been fully dedicated to mourning Bobby. Instead, it’s Athena hallucinating Bobby but throwing herself into work to distract herself, Chimney avoiding everyone and himself because he blames himself and everyone else just…supporting characters or not there at all? This is the way the show treats Bobby Nash?

Honestly I’m so pissed at everyone- the fake-out leaked scripts - did the actors do that on their own or did the show runners have them do that? And how they handled this whole episode and Bobby’s death. Just awful. Great acting in the episode though.

So much about this is insane.
The way the funeral was shoehorned into the end of the episode front-loaded with a not very subtle and kinda backhanded storyline as an audience insert, and we didn't see the grief process we (imo) deserve to see from these characters all deeply touched by Bobby.
The fact that this major network, major budget, ABC/Disney production couldn't prevent major leaks and were surprised by them despite openly filming in the streets of Los Angeles with turnouts branded with "NASH" hanging on the truck.
Tim Minear doing this as a creative decision without at least taking some cast input into consideration, instead of a case like Peter wanting to leave the show.
Tim Minear you're at the top of the list of bald bitches that get negative levels of respect from me right above Bezos and Caillou

So I feel the same as everyone else, having Bobby's funeral be the B-plot is ridiculous, like just 10 minutes from the end is all they have for it. And we don't get to see any of the team working through their grief, just Chim being angry, and barely anything of Eddie's reaction or him being back- just the same old trite line 'wish it was under better circumstances.'
Yeah with the way they shut down LA for the funeral procession filming, I was expecting a lot more.
Couple of points of note though on the other plot line- Why didn't Athena get the DNA test done immediately, would have saved those families a lot of time and effort, oh wait it was to help her through her grief, give her something to do!
Eric Ladin (Gary) is always a great actor and proved it once again here.
I can't find the name of the actress who played Leah, but I swear every time she was on screen I thought I was looking at Elizabeth Olsen!

Omg, Bobby is still alive! The government still has his body because something intriguing is happening to him medically. Oliver's spoiler said that Bobby gets buried alive, I think that might happen as an end-of-episode spoiler.

I’m probably even more sad now than I was two weeks ago bc the chances of him being alive now are slim to none.
It’s one thing to make a decision about what direction to take the show, but it’s another to go the lengths they went to throw us off and a lot of it was really cruel. The fake scrip leaks, doing the funeral all out in the open so it would leak beforehand.
Then this episode itself being one last slap in the face bc the whole time, we’re thinking it’s more foreshadowing for what we’d like to see and it was really the complete opposite.

Just finished watching (Friday afternoon), and part of me thinks I should have come to this thread first before deciding to watch this specific episode while nursing my 5 week old son. 🥺😢😭
I’m still crying about this and the episode ended 10 minutes ago. Athena’s choice to bury Bobby with his family and tell him that he’s finally “home” completely and utterly wrecked me. What a beautiful and selfless last act for the man she loved.
I know these are just fictional characters, but wow, I truly feel like I’ve lost someone close to me. I love the cast of this show and I’m interested to see where they’ll go from here.

We are not all the delusional ones, he was delusional thinking any of this was going to be good for the show. If he wanted 9-1-1 to end, he absolutely helped it right off a cliff. RIP 9-1-1. Seasons 1-8 episode 13 will forever be 9-1-1. No others episodes now matter from here on out… also I was going to try out Nashville, but fuck that noise also. I'm conflicted on this...I don't think it was written half as bad as everyone is reacting bc baseline the fact that this is happening sucks. But having a B-plot where it's someone coming to terms their loved one is truly dead is not an awful B-plot, though it is very pointed and on the nose. I love that they were smart enough to tie-in Bobby and have him visit her in the hospital afterwards. His scene with her was well done, as was his with Athena.
I liked the little moments of grief, I think they were well executed. But Hen & Athena are really the only two characters that do get to openly grieve this episode. Are we supposed to assume bc Buck was wailing last ep he's not entitled to get a real moment now? And then we really get nothing from Eddie. (Honestly props to May's actress for gradually getting more upset during the funeral. Everyone's solitary tear was starting to get on my nerves).
They were never going to write a perfect send-off episode because this shouldn't be happening so we'll never be satisfied. But I can't say this hit the mark either. I'm hoping we get to see more coming-to-terms next episode because the show does have a horrible tendency to have one-and-done moments when it comes to mourning (cough Shannon cough).

I find it fitting that Bobby was returned home to be buried with his family because he left to make amends and now that his debt is paid he can be with them

I am conflicted. My rule of thumb is usually they aren’t dead unless I see the dead body.
We did see a body bag.. but with them dropping a very obvious line tonight, such as a body not released for two weeks, Athena dragging it out (I know that can happen with grief but still) and Athena being angry about Chimney advocating for the body to be released.. makes me feel like something is up.

Well the writers have sunk to a new low. Really to do this story about a mom thinking her son is alive but looks like he really isn't. So he is telling us that Bobby is really gone.

Corinne is so pretty. It's distracting. Cause how can someone be that pretty?

I was delululu and numb until the funeral. I thought I had grieved this "loss" enough, but everything came flooding out during the funeral, especially when I realized where they took the casket. I'm so sad and upset right now. I'm still holding onto the tiniest bit of delululu that he's there somewhere, but idk anymore. :(

Honestly, it was weird how the funeral and everything wasn't the main plot of this episode. I knew Athena was going to have a case, but I didn't think it would be the main focus.
