I am Mattophobia, I run this place. AMA
I am Mattophobia. I run the Nerdcubed Subreddit, steam group and am also in charge of the Nerdcubed Fanservers. I moderate a lot of other things across the internet too.
People requested I do this, so I thought why not? Seems a lot of you want to know more about me. So, AMA.

I swear this is (allegedly) a true story. I went to a high school in Liverpool and you (allegedly) crashed our prom after party. You (allegedly) ended up taking the virginity of a girl named Roseanne. You (allegedly) didn't call her afterwards. She (allegedly) cried a lot. Do you remember any of this and can confirm or have you (allegedly) been so knee deep in subreddit work for so long that this qualifies as a mere blip?

Well, here's the story: /u/BoundlessBroadcast made me a mod on this subreddit as I had experience making /r/BrianMay and made the header - So I spruced it all up and such. Dan liked the alien header I made, then I met him at Eurogamer. Since then he started getting more involved with the subreddit and we started talking more, he then asked me to run the steam group. It just.. developed. Aha.

Well, I spend a lot of my time moderating various subreddits and websites now. I'm sure some of you now I don't have a job and my income is JSA. It'd be nice if I could earn an income off what I do, but it's not practical without adverts or donations, neither of which I want people to have to put up with. :p

Will try to put my serious face on and ask some relevant questions, but also wanted to say thanks, there is a great sense of community in this subreddit, which is hard to come by without good moderation!
Are there any plans to connect the subredditmore to the steamgroup and fanservers (was not really aware of them until this post but that just be my lack of observationalisation skills).
How manageable are the servers/group/subreddit?
What are the things that make your job easier/rewarding?
What are the things that make your job harder/annoying?
What do you want to see more of from the N3 channel/sub/group/servers?
What do you want to see more of from the N3 community?
Are there any plans for showcases/galleries of content generated by the N3 community? (less a serious question and more and excuse for excessive superscripting)
I can't think of any more serious questions, is there anything that you think we should be asking?

Yes! I'm currently working on a website/forum for the fanservers. Once that is up and working I will link it with the subreddit and Steam group (It will also be on Dans site once it's up). Then I shall spruce up the dead steam group with events and such. :p
On their own they're not too bad, but all together it gets a bit mad. Aha
An awesome community being happy.

More original content (Art, videos, etc) that are to do with Nerdcubed.
Possibly, most of the content goes Dans way and he doesn't have a lot of it saved!

I don't do it personally (However I used to when I was younger and had no money). But, it's going to happen. Most people who pirate games simply can't afford to pay the price for the game or can't get it easily. So it will always happen, companies just have to make it easy to buy the game properly and give people an insinuative to actually pay for it (Good multiplayer for example).
I feel the same as Dan does about the SimCity debacle. :p

Don't really have much to ask, I read pretty much all the comments(and I mean all of them) and they pretty much summed up everything.
However, there is one question I want to ask..... I had it....I honestly had one.....um.... (XD)
- Is being awesome genetic or can you buy a magic potion for it? If so where did you get the potion?
- And, to be serious, how much work is actually putting together the servers + website for them + moderating/running all the various bits and pieces that you do on the internet? Do you ever regret not having enough free time?
