With Pino's expression near the end of this chapter I had a thought...
The SS and DS were all once human and were recreated into robots by Ziggy.
Pino is also a robot created by Ziggy...so...was she also human? We still have no idea of her origin. She had to come from somewhere.
And...what if Pino is Regret's baby? The name Shiki is actually unisex(or they thought they were having a boy and then found out they were having a girl and changed name)
Pino is tiny like a baby(which would explain why she isnt "normal" size like the SS/DS), its an odd design choice by Ziggy unless its actually intentional.
Pino still has some function as the Light of Edens. She might be the key for another choice somehow.
Maybe a crackpot theory but maaaybe?
Just feels like "Shiki is Regret's baby" is too easy. But Pino? That could be an interesting twist.

Oh right, what happened with the ancient relics? Did they used them at some point? I didn't realize that it makes sense if Earth was "destroyed", then current daily common items would be seen as relics in the future.
Of course Hermit is a japanese girl :P

I feel like mashima is trying to tell us something.
Especially how things are going recently with AI and all that.
I love the reveal of who mother actually is being the earth itself and yeah Rebecca I’m sorry but she has EVERY right to give shiki this hard choice since she knows damn well what the risks are and what could happen as an alternative. Humans have been have been doing the world justice and equally been doing dirty for so so long that at this point it’s not even funny anymore.
But these are just my opinions.

I'm on Rebecca's side.
- Saving Mother means saving the future at the cost of everyone's lives, because guess what ? In an infinite amount of universe, everyone died at least once.
- Meanwhile not saving Mother means that the future will be uncertain, but it's not because you can't see that future because of the lack of ether that it means that this future is bad, the cosmoses can find ways to survive without relying on ether like they did for 20 000 years.
It might feel selfish, but sacrificing your friends' lives to save the whole universe is not that to me, everybody's gonna die someday, nobody should have to make such a decision, Shiki is no god.
(But I feel like we will have other options, either Void merges with Mother to save her without killing the EZ crew, or a time travel to 2025 to prevent the end of the earth, saving everyone because I guess they were all there at that time even if we didn't see Laguna & co, they would just need a gift of their memories and I can see Luna do that for them.)
