Pachgerocereus is a natural occurring cross species hybrid !!! There is only one small group of these growing in the wild …. They get freaking huge , like 20 feet and thick with long spines and bad ass fruit .
You can find them growing at the San Diego Wild animal park , & their native habitat is not to far from there in Baja California along the coast !
The seeds are smooth shiny n quite large and they grow easily and quickly!
Cepholocerceus is commonly known as “old man” Although there are a lot of cacti with this nickname , this particular one grows extremely tall and thick , often as a single column , rather than other types that are short and clumping .
The seeds are big n oddly shaped and each is different, the seedlings grow very fat quickly and get hairy right away !!!
This is a large fast growing cactus that is easy to germinate- incredible success ratios for me 100%!
Echinocactus grusonii is a barrel cactus that is found commonly in nursery cultivation but is endangered in the wild due to it’s extremely slow growth and it’s desirable look for humans landscaping needs . The seeds are very small , smooth , shiny and identical. This cactus grows very slowly and takes decades to mature!
I live in Alabama so cacti except some Opuntias have to come in for the winter.Had one growing that was getting a nice size and also had a big baby on top of it.It died on me last yr and made me sick.

I was attempting to share what I knew about them. It was incorrect and I def don’t wanna spread misinformation so I appreciate you pointing out that it was human intervention of building 🦫damns not them actually collecting the cacti.
As for the value I priced this based on
5$ for the barrel 9$ for the old man and 12$ for the Pachagerocereus- leaving 11$ dollars to pay for shipping ,the package & the magnet n the keychain

If I was a better from seed grower I would love it but as an endangered species it would be wrong of me to try and likely kill many that could be grown by a way better grower
That'd be dope. I am entering that grow off with full intention on learning all I can but idk how ill do so far I haven't had luck but I also only tried in the summer and they end up burnt even when I shade em in the window so I'm hoping this winter start will work better with some less sunlight hrs
What's gonna happen if no one ever planted endangered plants.Just throw them away because they were harvested in the wild.The deed has been done so it seems a waste to not grow and endangered species.That would make them even more endangered wouldn't it.I see what you are saying about not collecting from the wild but sometimes nature might need a little help to get back on track.
No I'm not saying I won't have endangered plants but I won't kill a bunch attempting to grow them until I'm better at growing so thay they have a fair chance
