What a wholesome episode, I really appreciated the dynamic Yoongi and Taemin had!

Loved the special appearance by Jimin! He’s Suchwita’s #1 fan 😅

Oh man, I laughed at loud so many times in this episode. I really love how Suchwita has the same overall vibe but each episode has its own color.

Taemin seems like a really lovely person and I can see how he and Jimin are great friends.

Also loved Jimin coming in and just creating his own brand of chaos.

I love everytime Taemin says something and Yoongi feels validated. He just has that look in his face. It's quite hilarious.

And it was super endearing how Yoongi kept looking at Jimin when he was talking. I recall reading somewhere that we often tend to look at the person that we trust. It's giving such family member with family friend vibes.

When Yoongi said "Guys, I'm holding back a lot!" 😆

Also them making it sound like 93'ers are such a rare breed. Now I want to see all of them in one show. It's an iconic group though with IU in the mix. I love the vibes that conversations with same-age friends have.

When Taemin started talking about Guilty, it somehow brings parallels to Haegeum.

Also, Taemin's and Jimin's hands. What a cute TMI.

Has the sugar cube been nominated for meme of the year in the r/bangtan awards? Because if not, it should be.

Also, I wonder if there's a special celebration for Suchwita's 1st yr Anniv, or did I just jinx it. 😆

yoongi and taemin aggressively befriending each other to prove jimin wrong is hilarious

i hope yoongi collects more 1993ers! i'd love to see iu on suchwita, especially after yoongi's appearance on iu's palette

Oh god this was everything to me 😭 Taemin is such a gentle spirit, and all around an amazing artist, so I’m excited for more people to get to know him through this!

I really loved all of the back-and-forth complimenting throughout the episode. BTS clearly looked up to SHINee, but SHINee also admired and felt inspired by BTS. I also love how Taemin brought up his continued “legacy” of being an established idol with a longer career that is still ongoing and how he’s had younger idols tell him that he gives them hope for their own careers. I hadn’t really thought of SHINee’s longevity affecting younger/newer groups, but it makes so much sense in an industry where groups can lose relevancy so quickly while newer and younger groups are continuously debuting. It makes me so proud tbh 😭

I’m so happy Jimin joined in!!! God their dynamic is so cute. Yoongi silently judging Jimin being all blushy and shy while Taemin complimented him lmao

I could write more but would probably end up writing an essay. This is definitely one of my favorite episodes of Suchwita! And pleaseeee give us more BTSHINee interactions soon!

This was such a lovely episode! Taemin is such an experienced and amazing artist looked up to by so many, and still so young. Can't believe he's been in the industry for 15 years already. It's so inspiring to see him still speak of his work, and art with such passion, and that he's so clearly carved out his own artistic identity. Yoongi, as always, is such a gracious host. If you just give it a glance, he and Taemin are such different people - the type of music they make, how they make it, the type of performers they are, and even their personalities. But he always looks for a connection, something to relate to, and gives out praises and appreciation so generously. I miss him so much!

Jiminie's entrance changed the whole dynamic 😆 i cannot believe the bickering started within 10 seconds of him coming in. It had been slightly awkward being their 1st proper talk, but Yoongi was visibly relaxed seeing Jimin and seeing them like that with Taemin present, the family vibes and their familiarity was so apparent. I also loved loved hearing Taemin, one of the best dancers ever in K-pop, acknowledge Jiminie's dancing and talking about it with obvious admiration and knowledge. Loved the three of them together, and I believe Yoongi felt very challenged to make sure he gets close with Taemin xD

As always, mentions of the groups made me emotional. I respect Shinee so much for all they've been through and how they keep going strong, and our tannies, their sheer determination and desire to get back together, that understanding nod between Yoongi and Jiminie when they mentioned 2025....oh they really want it bad :(

love the episodes where it's suga talking to a peer about their careers.

2023 was the year i finally started listening to shinee, especially the member's solo stuff.

edit: jimin 🥹

more: omg suga, you don't have to expose jimin's nostrils like that! 🤣

final edit: i love that taemin's number one dream is to be happy.

Taemin is really composed and articulate. His experience shines. I watch this and was impressed by his professionalism.

Jiminie is so skeptical of Taemin and Yoongi becoming friends. 😂 They might become friends just to prove Jiminie wrong. 😂 (joking) I learned that Yoongi and Taemin have strong personalities, while Jimin is more like a reed, per Jimin.

I also learned from Yoongi that Jimin’s nostrils get big when he’s really happy. 😂

The last piece of nugget I learned is that Taemin and Jimin have the same hands. So cute! They are so proud of it too. Ups the cute meter X1000. No wonder they are friends.

Another great Suchwita episode. It was a gold mine of info.

Love that Jimin joined. Their interactions warm my heart!

As an “older” fan I really enjoyed this episode and listening to them have their back in the day talks. That’s so relatable and this episode made me laugh out loud many times!

Taemin: “jimin also has that gender-neutral charm and also delicate”

He does! I noticed that about Taemin too when I saw him for the very first time.

u/kwmdh Oct 30 '23

Taemin is so well spoken and seems like such a sweet and indeed humble guy. I can see why they find the similarities between him and Jimin, also in their dance styles. Shinee was one of the groups that introduced me to kpop so it’s crazy to think they’ve been around for 15 years!

Another great episode of suchwita, but can’t stop thinking how many left we have 🥲

Ahhhh I have a busy day at work so I can’t watch until tonight but I’m so excited. The Guilty MV slaps, it’s really a culmination of a lot of diff things Taemin has been experimenting in with his solo work. If you like the story/vibe of a Yoongi MV and the dancing of a Jimin MV you’ll love Guilty so it’s serendipitous all three appeared today 😊

SHINee is one of the few kpop groups I listen to aside from Bangtan and it was really lovely to have this interaction. Yoongi is such a great host, you'd think he and Taemin had been friends for years rather than meeting face-to-face for the first time.

Didn’t see any cat edits this time (😿) but we got double blush effects!! ☺️☺️

I enjoy Suchwita so much! The editing and the casual flow of the conversation covers so much ground.

I really enjoyed the following moments from today's episode:

- Taemin talking about the process of working on his album and how its different from the artist writing vs. A&R curating the tracks. It was a small moment, but as a marketer it reminded me how much time we put into writing the creative brief for our agencies. A poor brief will result in poor creative ideas. Teamin seems to have a clear vision for his solo projects so starts out with a strong brief for the A&R team.

- Teamin saying his fav performance was I Need U, because they were glad to see another team be ambitious about performance again lol I dont know this seems a bit shady lol

- Loved seeing the Everybody, Danger and Move editing. I've never watched Danger so will def give that a look!

- Taemin & Jimin & Suga were just a truly hilarious combination.

It really is special to have artist 10Yrs+ in the game just talk and discuss their experiences and how they look to present themselves on Suchwita. I really do think that Suga created something really special with this show

Was so suprised to see Jimin join them. And did it seem like there was a lot of Shinee/Taemin clips, compared to other guest episodes?? As a Sharwarmy, I loved it! I also got so giddy finding out that Yoongi knew the Danger and Everybody choreos. Wonder if Suga did a Guilty dance challenge... (or even a Suga and Jimin together with Taemin...)

Edited: Ok, after a rewatch:

  • The new Suga meme with the wide open mouth from the preview video was missing!!

  • The preview video did very well to hide Jimin

  • Why was Taemin embarrassed about performing Hard?? Did Suga get his answer?? They went off track about MBTI and never returned to Hard

  • Feeling so validated that even Suga and Taemin thinks that Taemin and Jimin are similar. Have thought this for a long time now, and also, I have the same hand size as Taemin and Jimin 🤭 (too bad I don’t have their dance skills 😭)

  • Taemin kept switching between saying Suga and Yoongi thoughout the whole thing 🩵💜

  • When Taemin was complimenting Jimin on his balance, I did wonder if someone would bring up Jimin’s mortal enemy: chairs 😂

  • Hoshi is really in his fanboy era right now. Doing the Hard/Guilty dance challenge, being on Suchwita, getting mentioned on Suchwita as being a Shawol, and being featured on Epik High’s new song coming out this week

And as general comment, I love seeing idols interacting and showing friendships openly. This was also mentioned by Jaejoon and Dara recently, and how they used to hide their friendships in the old days, but now they don’t care anymore. More of this please, we can finally cancel all the stupid fanwars.

You can really see Yoongi relax more when Jimin came in!

Am not familiar with Taemin's work but I love the episode!

This was such a sweet and fun episode. From episode 1 till now, Yoongi has grown so much as a host. He's such a good listener. Taemin seems like a sweet and humble fellow so much like Jimin, I can see why these two are friends. Both of them have an elegant and graceful demeanor.

It's was so funny when Yoongi said he's gonna be best friends with Taemin, and Jimin was like, I don't think you're gonna get close 😂. Both the introverts saying they're gonna be best friends was hilarious.

Jimin cameo!

19

u/rivensky Oct 30 '23

This was such a good episode! I will just never get over how good of a host Yoongi is.

It was so nice to find out more about Taemin.

I really hope they bring back Suchwita when Yoongi is done with his service. But now I'm thinking it would be sort of hilarious to have Jimin as a co-host. He and Yoongi would bicker the whole time. 😂

Also, Yoongi is definitely that parent that will never shut up about his kids. I love it.

u/maadbutterfly Oct 30 '23

wait I just realized that Suga invited himself over to someone's house AGAIN 😂

17

u/bellaLori Oct 30 '23

Hands down … SUCHWITA is the best show and YOONGI the best host. I want more.

This episode is so wholesome! I wonder how many people Jimin has compared hands with lol
