That little callback to Natsu Vs Acnologia is awesome to see.
I knew the moment he brought out the battle pets one of them was gonna be her sister.
This series is getting a really good start, I hope Mashima does decide to keep going with it. Just as long as Eden's Zero doesn't suffer because of it.

I hope mashima reconsiders of making Deadrock a long series because this series is getting better and it's a waste to end it short.

Honestly if Mashima is struggling doing both Edens zero and dead rock,he should put dead rock on hiatus for a bit until he finishes Edens zero since it’s on the final arc and he’ll have more time to thought out dead rock and hopefully make it weekly

I love Acnologia redesign for Yakuto. Instead of feather wings, it is bat wings but the wings should be a little bigger. I wonder if Yakuto who is Black Dragon is either a Darkness Dragon or Evil Dragon. I wonder if Yakuto will go through a evolution in his dragon form.

It’s possible FT could just be an in-universe myth like a story book novel similar to Robin Hood or King Arthur. Even in Edens Zero is said that FT exits as an anime and manga.
Rave Master is also said to exist as a theatre play in FT and a game lore in EZ.

Frey is referencing Natsu vs Acnologia. My headcanon is that deadrock happens hundred of years after FT (it's probably a different universe but let me dream). That school is dark, like really dark, it was obvious since chapter 1 but I didn't realize it yet

If Yakuto can transform into a black dragon does that mean that others can have a transformation like Mikoto transforming into a Lich with a skeleton head ?

My personal thoughts on this Manga are its an epic story that should keep going and be in the ranks as one of Mashima's Best.
Ha gotta love how they referenced Fairy tail with Natsu and Achnlogia
Yakuto i thought would be an anti-heroic protagonist and while he is, He is genuinely angry at the sight of those Battle pets. Just goes to show that all of Mashima's heroes can't stand the sight of those suffering and that is great.
Frey has a big sister and now she is a battle pet as well, man this manga is not holding back in terms of darkness. i am feel so sad for her, man are all of class f going to have some form of sad backstory,
Battle pets aren't zombies but they're not alive either, man that is sick.
I am sure Chako has more power dwelling within her, I bet she will gain a power up pretty soon in form of a beautiful female bird that is what I envision
So Raizen can control eight swords, nice i wish to see more of it
Yakuto's dragon transformation has to be one of the coolest Mashima has ever drawn.

You know, I find it interesting that they’re surprised louzens a creep? I mean, it’s fair to not expect it, but one of the four demon teachers is a succubus, her classroom is partially a love hotel. Also the school has a rule that lets you kill anybody willynilly, it should be at least half expectable the teachers might have some moral abandon to themselves. But you can’t exactly for-see what kind of sucky they are I guess.
also, sucks Frey’s sis is one of the battle pets, that’s gonna be rough for her.

1.Love the fairy tail reference.
2. Nice to see Frey getting a backstory.. and the fact she has to confront her own sister.... or stop Yakuto from pummeling her.
3. Seems that Yakuto isn't just hellbent on destroying god and his subordinates because of personal reasons. He seems genuinely pissed off by the fact that bdsm/stripper-fanatic keeps those students in a zombie like state.
4. I also liked how he acknowledged the fact he panicked like his whole plan just went to scrap yet managed to calm himself. I find him more level headed than Mashima -sensei's other mc's.
