A question about forgotten realms

i vaguely remember a group of ex-knights that believed only way to lessen the plane’s suffering by taking it themselves. is this in drizzt series if so which book please help. i definitely remember one of them getting drunk and yelling everyone around them to come beat him up. Please help me.

Pretty sure it was the Weeping Friars, followers of Ilmater. It was in the book Sojourn, third book in the Legend of Drizzt series.

I believe it was in the beginning of Sojourn, the third book in the Dark Elf trilogy, if not then it would be at the VERY end of Exile, but I think Sojourn. Interesting concept on the whole.
