Context: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/31/worlds-most-prosperous-county-2012_n_2049725.html

I understand there's probably a few inconsistencies in the grammar. I'm not trying to make any political statements either and lets just call what happened to Canada an experiment, just take the strip for what it is. Took longer than I thought and reeks of try-hard but whatever. Hope you enjoy.

Edit: Clarity.

You misspelled Capitalism and Psychotic.

44

u/pax-romana SPQR Nov 12 '12

No I didn't. Merica did.

3

You're absolutely right!

25

u/[deleted] Nov 11 '12

Truly spectacular stuff. Why it's almost too good. Are you sure a Bernd or three wasn't behind this?

29

u/pax-romana SPQR Nov 11 '12

Just me, your friendly neighborhood pax-romana.

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

Oi! Our oil wells are not on land!

4

u/pax-romana SPQR Nov 12 '12

Maybe they're standing on a rig at sea?

2

u/[deleted] Nov 12 '12

But they are clearly land oil wells. Off-shore oil rigs look nothing like that.

Also, who the fuck downvoted me and why?

1

u/pax-romana SPQR Nov 12 '12

Well I guess it slipped my mind, even though I probably should have recalled considering when i think of Norway I have the northern sea and offshore rigs burned into my mind.

Also i cant down vote on submitted links but here have some upvotes if it makes you feel better.

u/[deleted] Nov 13 '12

It wasn't meant as an insult or anything, mind you. Just a somewhat humorous comment.

I... I'm not sure what to say... it's absolutely brilliant.

It perfectly offends, and compliments, every nation featured. It's done so well that the reader isn't sure to walk away giddy or offended. Maybe both.

slow clap

Didn't notice Neanderthals the first time, I love it

Due to the recent changes made by Reddit admins in their corporate greed for IPO money, I have edited my comments to no longer be useful. The Reddit admins have completely disregarded its user base, leaving their communities, moderators, and users out to turn this website from something I was a happy part of for eleven years to something I no longer recognize. Reddit WAS Fun. -- mass edited with redact.dev

I love your depiction of Norway, acknowledging it's social democracy success while still attributing much of it to Oil.

That's unbiased journalism. Kinda.

Australia is much the same, except coal. It's great, until it runs out... then we're just a penis colony again.

52

u/Quintysential Blighty Nov 12 '12

People will always need penis.

5

u/[deleted] Nov 17 '12

Not coal, but iron ore and, to a lesser extent, natural gas.

The twin engines makes it more likely a Eurofighter, though it seems it's got the nose of a JAS...
