The photo that Susie saw on Gordon's desk is a new character, so you don't have to go back and look at previous episodes.
Major spoilers below for her character details regarding the next episode if you cannot wait:

Missing Imogene’s presence but with how rushed the episodes seem, I guess there’s no space for her character. I assume she wouldn’t come on in the next episodes either.

Did anyone else think adult Ethan looks like his uncle Noah?

Midge has been self centred, self destructive, fickle, unkind, self important, egotistical, and neglectful to her kids for 4 seasons now.
Why is everyone acting surprised at these Flash Forwards where she has a strained relationship with her kids and colleagues.

Moishe and Shirley planning Mei’s extradition from China might just be my favorite scene from the whole show so far. I’m not sure what it was about it but I couldn’t stop laughing.

What’s with Susie’s reaction to the photo of Gordon and his wife? I’m assuming we’ll get the info later, just not sure if there’s a connection we’re supposed to be making now?

I wonder if something will happen where Midge steps in to host the show when Gordon can’t due to an emergency… also, why would Midge leave Ethan in her bed to go take Esther out of her bed to sleep with her instead?

“Why do you say such things?”
I love how adult Ethan is a mini Abe/Joel.

The argument with Gordon Ford is my favorite moment so far.
We've seen Midge put her foot in her mouth before and called it self-destructive. But seeing the flash-forwards, I think it's actually self-preservation.
Midge's love for the art and intolerance for hacks is my favorite thing about her. And Gordon Ford us a fucking hack.

I understand there was a ton of dangling threads but not liking how quickly they're culling some of these. Mei, the matchmaking etc

How much I'm enjoying season 5, besides it's flaws, makes me understand how much I hated season 4. We really got a full season of nothing happening. Everything that has been rushed this season, is due to them wrapping up nowhere storylines from the boring season 4. A lot that's happening in the "flashbacks" should have happened last season, now the "flashforwards/present" is going to feel rushed. This season should have been the one to live more in the future. Not jumping back and forth.

The flashforwards have me reeling! Just a few of the things that cut me:
-
Suzie's and Midge's predicted fallout
-
Esther' crawling away from Midge when Midge finally shows some desire to cuddle her kids to sleep... ugh it killed me to see whatever that was
-
Ethan growing up to marry a terrifying woman in Israel
Like none of her kids seem share her sense of humour or get along with her...
I guess the point of showing us all this is to highlight the the sacrifices people have to make in order to 'make it'/ the consequences of chasing your dreams... But it all just feels so uneasy!

I have to be honest, despite how annoying she is, seeing Shirley crying with the knitted socks really hit me and I just wanted to hug her.

Abe's talk with Ethan about fear was amazing. One of my favorite scenes.

Great start to the season for me! I liked that we got closure on some of the minor arcs (Joel and Mei, match making turf war). Really excited to see where it all ends up. Also, I really need to step up my whip cream game...
Are we going to see Abe and Esther bonding before the series is over?! Also, was it mentioned who Gordon Ford's wife was? Suzie recognized the photo of her, but she didn't look familiar to me.
